Om Unit's third EP for Civil Music. Following on from EPs 'Transport' and 'The Timps' Om Unit continues to forge his own path. Aeolian showcases five emotive tracks that rouse the senses and together form a cinematic and journeying soundtrack. Focused predominantly, but not exclusively, around the 85/170BPM the unique qualities of 'Aeolian' are echoed with the choice of remixers; revered producers Reso and Sweatson Klank both contribute revisions to the package.

Insanely complex breaks, but still manages to hold onto that thick atmosphere that the original had in spades.
This is a fucking masterpiece.
I remember the time when the original jungle scene got the same amount of hate & butthurt I can see here. Sweet geez, this is a good break, you may like it, you may don't, you may get it or not, but the fact is the breaks are good, the ambience is good, the synths are good, period. Haven't heard a piece this broken since Adam F started fluid/jazz DnB movement, good thing some people can still appreciate the heavy break.
Whenever i hear drums like this i always imagine a goofy man tripping down the stairs while desperately trying to keep expensive pottery from falling, i love it! big up reso!
Man those drums, I guess many people here don't understand shit about shit. Maybe you don't like but this is incredibly complex, so saying the contrary is just being ignorant. Reso drums are some of the best there are in this scene.

Didn't know what to expect when I started this. All the breaks are amazing!
If it feels like you don't quite get it or the breaks are hard to follow, try to listen to the bassline as the "lead" and the drums will follow suit. That's my interpretation atleast, that he built the drums "ontop" of the bassline, in the first half atleast. In the second half the drums do the talking and the bassline just cruises next to them.
The hard drums remind me of Photek...

This is fucking terrible. No flow to those drums, no funk, no art, no groove. Sad thing is it probably outsold every Fanu, Nebula, Sub, Equinox and Paradox tune in 2012 put together.
