Honestly I'm just glad that a song that was in Hotline Miami also got to be in a major Marvel movie. Synthwave as a genre deserves exposure, and Magic Sword is a fantastic artist.

They somehow managed to convey the super future cyberpunk-esqe feeling of the 80's, while also making it feel like the amazing Fantasy of Dungeons and Dragons, also 80's style. I love it.
This artist just got hella famous white the Thor trailer. Now this band will get the publicity it definitely deserves. I've been a fan since the Hotline Miami days and ever since I love all of their tracks especially "The way home".
its been around since before Thor and has a meaning that you wouldnt believe. Maybe one of the deepest songs ever made! You may be thinking my statement is crazy but if you only knew what this song has been implicated with you might just understand the gravity in which I am speaking to you right now! Its not just a song! Its a mission! The greatest mission since the creation of humanity! Where we go one we go all! even the tilt of this song was made on purpose! The most ultimate black ops to take away the ability to start a nuclear war via a rogue nation that is controlled by people of no nation. The ability to literally save the world and take away the ability to enslave and kill the human race. Thats what im taking about! This is what special operators played on a certain mission. the mission that was greater than any other! EVER! Just keep that I mind. Some of the people in this forum know it too. Read to find out!
We're really seeing an 80's resurgence these days. Both in and out of the mainstream. Synth music, a bright neon color palette, arcade inspired visuals. It's all over the place. Ragnarok looks kick ass, and so does the new Bladerunner
Ok, so i discovered this track, then i discovered LSD two days later. Tripping or not, this fuckimg track is absolutely astonishing and has given me a new appreciation for techno/synthesized music. Fucking awesome. Thank you
What distinguishes a good man from a weak man? How they act in the face of evil. Both act cautiously and respectfully in a peaceful environment. None wish to impose themselves on others. But when true evil arises, when someone's cruel will breaks the innocent and the infirm, when the fires rise, the weak man remains peaceful and perhaps flees, while the good man becomes a terrible beast and fights. Not because he wished to, but because actions only can be fixed through actions, and the evil doesn't relent to the weak. "Si vis pacem, para bellum". May the good men keep the dark days away.
The other day I was on a road trip with my friends, driving an old car and this song was playing while my car was struggling to go up a long and steep road. The sun was behind us and as we got higher we started to see some odd clouds and then the chimeneys of a thermal power plant emerged from them and it was a perfect dystopian future scene.
*SO disappointed that Hotline Miami didn't utilize the full track, the guitar sound blends so perfectly with the way Magic Sword utilized this new wave sound. Additionally utilizing negative space but as a buttery smooth transition that allows you to hear every little detail in the guitar? The feeling of this song is always hard to put into words, which is probably why we have Musik. It amazes me how such a full and dense sound can be so vast? empty? bleak? It´s really weird. This sounds awesome, absolutely epic, yet at the same time it rings so hollow and roams endlessly around. Always evoking images in my mind of endless empty expanses stretching by, forgotten and deserted architecture dotting the distance and an oppressive dystopian feeling.
I found this song back when it was featured in Hotline Miami and have been a Magic Sword fan since. Not trying to be the special snowflake that wasn't here from Thor: Ragnarok, I just wanted to come back to this song to congratulate Magic Sword. I'm so glad your music is getting more recognised now, enough to be featured in the trailer for a film by a company as big as Marvel. I think this is a great achievement for you guys and I hope to see a lot of amazing tracks in the future! ^^
@@HokutoShinkenSuccessornah, the only level tony is good on is sexualizer, but alex and ash always were favorites, they just require a smooth gameplay.

This is definitely the best Magic Sword I've heard so far - that effed out 80's guitar stringing in the background is so fuckin' sweet. It compliments the dirty sounding melodies and dark bass line so well. A+ awesome job. I love that kind of juxtaposition.
Wasn't a fan of the genre til I accidentally found this. Love to bring this up for friends that are unfamiliar. Great for the highway. Great memories as well. Cheers to all listening
As a Thor fan and a Hotline Miami fan I have to say I found this track from the GoPro Streets of Tokyo video but have to swear my allegiance to the Hotline, the gaming industry rocks and Hotline Miami OST 1 & 2 were both amazing
Did I discover this band through a Marvel trailer? Yes I did. Trailer music is something I find fascinating. And lead me to a band I now thoroughly enjoy. No need to gatekeep.
I loved this Thor movie, it was very impressive especially combining 2017 with the 80s. Rest in Peace Odin, hope that Frigga is waiting for you in Valhalla as will Thor and Loki.
