I was listening to Urbandawn's remix of this track a lot. When I recently gave original a listen my ears were shook. It's so good, even better than remix.
Reso is always on form with the atmosphere, and the drums ..just fab! 3:59 - aaron spectre breakcore level drums, mixed with that beautiful reso atmosphere...i will own this ep
+zevex747 they're v similar to the drums in very very early jungle in like 93-96 (before dnb was even an established thing), would have been played at all the big raves which is why it has such intense euphoric vibes, so so so sick!! :))
Love Reso's uplifting tracks. This joins the ranks of Voices of a Distant Star, Kamina, and Aegis (among others) as one of my all around favorites. Pure Positive energy.
I heard "Reso - What is" last week. I'm going through and listening to more of his stuff. Holy cow he is a drum god. This track is going off. But "what is" goes harder :) . Great tune this is thou.
What a perfect painting through music of an actual place How could you describe the Taiga any better than this? The only other song that comes to mind that captures the spirit of a place on this kind of level is Tundra by Tom Jenkins aka Squarepusher from his Feed me weird things. The first album of his I ever listened to. By the second song(Tundra), I realized that I was hearing one of the best producers in D&B/Jungle. He automatically was in my top ten:Remarc, Dara, Soulslinger, 1.8.7., Danny the Wildchild, Gridlok, Hype, Dieselboy, Shy FX, Squarepusher! and still there are a couple more, but I digress... Now my list today still has a few of them from back then, but it has changed quite a bit. Reso is most def on that list!
literally one of the best songs i have ever heard in my life
one of the best atmospheric dnb tracks of all time
so proud of Alex Reso for this slice of genius. immense.
reso is very talented :)
London Elektricity i
What a sheer masterpiece, still hitting as hard as on the day it was released
I was listening to Urbandawn's remix of this track a lot. When I recently gave original a listen my ears were shook. It's so good, even better than remix.
This is the soul of drum and bass... i got chills
+splobington such a strange combination of v up to date, commercial sounds and old school drums but works so well!
To people who question whether quality music is still being made, it is, just needs to be found, like this track right here
not being made by the big record companies. pop culture is lost
masterpiece
I just realized this song is a big homage to Squarepusher's song "Tundra".
Well done, Reso.
Reso is always on form with the atmosphere, and the drums ..just fab!

I just discovered it yesterday, and it has to be my 15th listening, at least. I thought "Night Vision VIP" was a slap in the face, but this? Fuck...
I've been drifting more and more towards the jungle side of things and these drums are right up my alley! Good job, Reso!
ua-cam.com/video/txQgcblMtYg/v-deo.html another gem right here, deserves as much attention as this imo.
The special point on this track, are the drums, really atmospheric, Reso's production is brilliant!
Manuel Delgado Ramos The drums are always the most fascinating part of Reso's tracks! :)
zevex747 exactly :D

3:16. Those melodies sound like something a past dnb producer made history with.
Looks like that "past producer" turned out to be Reso.
