I drop some updates, secrets and we all get back to our roots with the Classic Car Meridian Cruise and Street Rod Nationals. The whole OKC gets together to reminisce, talk about where we came from and the new small tire show.

Great video. Really good to see the OG street racers getting together to bring it back to where it all started from. These cars, the normal car person can relate to them. I can see a lot of guys getting out in there garages and starting to work on there rides that have been forgotten. The drone footage takes your video's to a whole new level. Great turn out at the original hang out spot. Keep it real - street. Race fast - stay safe and humble - live to race and hang out another day.

Thanks Dave, I'm a huge fan of your Goliath Nova. I ran a similar car, a 1963 Chevy II we called "tha Deuce" in Super Gas in the late 70's thru mid 80's until electronics first arrived. I wasn't too keen on that so bailed on racing. Wishing you all the very best, a safe back half of NPK and always be able to drive the car back into the trailer and arrive to the next event safely. GO DADDY DAVE!!

@@douglasenzor48 I have a blast racing actual street cars, and that S10 doesn’t look very boring.
The money races are shifting to small tire. I’m shocked that the tv show hasn’t forced them to build competitive high end small tire no prep cars. Hell, Scott Taylor put smalls on John Doe, with that 520 Pro-Charged hemi. He should change the name of the car to Puppy Kicker.

I remember cruising Meridian during the Street Rod Nationals back in the early 90s. Definitely takes me back. Looking forward to the new season!

The S10 still.my favorite, when the show started and they raced street cars and were built on "we race street cars, steel body cars that run to the grocery store" now it's all fiberglass body pro stock cars. The first few seasons the S10 was comfortably at #1 almost every week, everyone else was competing for #2.
Since the very beginning, you been my favorite OG. You been true daddy Dave street always since the old pinks episode way back when in surprise Arizona 😁

Timothy Nalley, it's funny you bring up Pinks. I myself remember Cheif and Dave on Pinks with the black Mustang. It's hard to believe but when I bring that up to friends or bench racing with competitors, A lot of them had no clue they were on the show. I guess I'm showing my age or just my passion for racing no matter if it's me in the seat or watching it. LOL🤣🤣🤣 Big props to Dave for being a true OG no matter if it's street or track!!!🏁🏁🏁

Looks like a good time was had by everyone!! That truck looks like it's a ton of fun. I'd love driving something like that again some day. I miss my 67 C10 & my 69 Camaro SS everyday! Two of the biggest mistakes I've ever made was selling them! Looking forward to seeing what the Monte Carlo is going to run like! Good luck from Flower Mound, Tx.

I bought new a 97 S-10 extended cab. 4.3l auto. I miss that truck. I want to build a S-10 extended cab stepside. Watching your s-10 makes me want to do it faster. I have found a bunch of standard cab long beds and stuff cheap but that's jot what I want. But money is fixing to get mad tight. I work at Goodyear Tire plant in NC. We are going on strike tomorrow so the truck will have to go on the back burner. I hope to see you when you guys come to Rocky mount raceway in North Carolina. I live an hour east. I hope this strike will be over with by then. My wife and I have been watching for years. My wife loves you lol. Of coarse. We hope to meet you in person. In Oct. Thanx for the content brother.

If you are referring to the Sonoma Dave raced on the first SO shows he didn’t own the truck. Jackie Knox owned the truck and Dave drove it. Later shows Jackie tried driving it but it didn’t work out too well for him.

I live in Michigan and since I was a kid I have been going to the Woodward dream cruise and now there is Roadkill Nights that I go to and make some passes on Woodward for fun and just have a good time.

Good to see this, real street cars, even if they are high dollar ones, still really street drivable cars...only one guy missing.
I've only watched the first 2 seasons of the original show, or whatever season Chief put together his car. I've since refound everyone on UA-cam over the years and might have to check out this new season.
The Monte looks cool but the S10 is what you should use for that real OG feel

Brother I love the S-10. She is pretty. I'm glad you guys are going back old school. Not many people can relate to a half a million dollar 3500 horse power car.
DD, that was the clue; when you started feeling you weren't having fun. And the rest of the world can just suffer if it must so the OG's can quit being what all of us demand and be what they are- good friends, good mechanics and a great afternoon with out the com and the BS that often goes with it. Send us the pics- a full streaming video would get n=in the way of the fun aspects- it takes a lot of work to both make a video and have it make narrative sense. You go, guys! FR
