Thanks for having me, Teddy. This was a ton of fun. Sort of a "kid in the candy store" feeling. For a guy slinging $300 Seikos, this was surreal.

One of my favorite watches is my Islander Aviator, what a beautiful white dial.
Love the Islander brand and Teddy's work as well. Both of you are standing tall on the horological ramparts over us all.

@@alfieakaronaldog Agreed! Buy what you want. Don't buy something because it's popular, and don't buy something because it's unpopular. If you like it, get it. How many or how few people like it shouldn't be a concern 👍🏻
Cartier Tank, Speedmaster, Shunbun, Daytona, F-91W, PRX, Khaki Field, etc etc. Popular watches are popular for a reason. If you like them that's fine, if you don't like any of these watches that's also fine!

Wow, Marc has a very consistent style and yet varied watch movements... His collection is by far the best I've seen on Teddy's chanel!
I only would change that Breitling for Teddys Omega.
Too many white dials, IMO. Still a great collection.

You are naive or don't know the definition of Humble. They are standing in a store named TEDDY. and Marc is dressed like a 4 year old while pitching his own brands.

@@altal2993I like Marc a lot too. But yes, he should have shown a little respect and dress up a bit for the occasion. Wearing a sweatshirt with his brand name all over it was a might crass. He also looks like a retiree up from Florida in that outfit, while Teddy’s just showing off his store, but then…why not? If you’ve got it flaunt it I suppose 🤷♂️

Wow. The UA-cam watch community has really come a long way and this colab is one great example.
Marc is my horological hero. Watch and Learn got me obsessed with the hobby. But wow Teddy is showing him up with that beautiful dark blue pinstripe suit. Perfectly tailored with great pick on the pocket square and shirt/tie. Teddy knows how to wear dress clothes that fit.
As I have had a moan at Marc I feel it’s only fair to critique Teddy (I look worse than Marc most days 😂).
My take is that Teddy does not always wear perfectly fitting suits etc. but that’s not at all important.
It’s actually a strength because he is being himself.
The guy has style, class, standards, and above all makes an extreme effort in everything he does, and is above all a gentleman.
He is a true role model and knows his watches 😈
I think he looks great except for the exposed shirt below the jacket buttoning point. He should wear higher rise trousers.
@@tim035 There is a lot not quite right. Upper arms are too tight and shirt showing as you mentioned.
I am sure Teddy will get a fitted suit soon, but he will never pop a 💩 sweatshirt on for sure. 😂

I don't normally view videos that have watches i will never be able to own as the green eyed monster tends to come out. However, seeing 2 people, that on the surface seem polar opposites to each other, come together because of a passion for watches is great. Really enjoyed this.

Absolutely. The first watch I bought from Marc was an Orient M-Force Bravo in 2016 and my first Swiss made piece was a Mido Multifort Dual Time from Teddy in 2022. I'm fortunate to be local so I've been able to make several visits to Teddy's boutique where I picked out my Aqua Terra Worldtimer, just like Marc did! Both gents are awesome and I've been lucky enough to meet them both in person.
Marc is so refreshing man, islander brand watches may not be every one’s cup of tea, but they are awesome in their own regard and definitely serve a purpose! But Marc is just so passionate about what he does and horology in general and it always shows. He’s the embodiment of someone who will never change no matter how successful he’d become. Teddy is very similar in that way, just 2 humble guys enjoying watches. Gotta love it!

I remember the numerous episodes when Teddy did these challenges with Kevin O'Leary. It must be a great feeling for Teddy to do it in his OWN boutique!
I would much prefer to see more with Marc.
Marc won this one.... his selections felt cohesive and I would sway more towards his with the exception of the spectacular Breitling Teddy selected.
I just want to say Teddy and Mark..... two great guys in the same room together..... Both amazing sellors of watches, all be in perhaps different segments of the market....

You're 2 of the nicest guys in the community, and it's so exciting to see you watch shopping together. I can't pick a winner here but I especially loved Teddy's Breitling and Marc's GS
Teddy's collection had more apparent variety and Marc's was more cohesive. My collection philosophy is generally more in line with Marc's since I collect around my wardrobe, with a few exceptions here or there. So I'll give Marc the win while admitting that Teddy's collection is a good reminder to be spontaneous and enjoy the ride sometimes.
Love the video. I like the colour variations in Teddy’s selection, but I prefer the choice of watches in Marc’s collection.

Marc is such a standup guy. He personally answers emails and is helpful in answering questions. Several times when I needed watch parts, he referred me to other websites because it would be cheaper than buying from Marc. What a guy. He’s a true watch guy and delivers value where ever he can. You can rest assured that you will always get a great value when buying from Marc.

Teddy and Marc are two outstanding retailers who are also watch enthusiasts. I purchased a Squale diver from Marc at Island Watch a great experience! Marc takes the win for me, such a well curated collection of timepieces. He truly doesn't care about the opinions of others and I think that was displayed nicely with that silver/white/blue color scheme of his collection - they all complemented each other so well and were simultaneously so very different from one another. Great episode to you both!
Teddy wins this one with a lot of variety in picks! Marc chose a couple of my favorites between the two collections, but what can I say, there wasn’t much visual diversity there.

My two favorites colab again! I was rooting for Marc, but I’m not a fan of white dials, so Teddys inclusion of the bronze and green Oris tipped the scale in his favor for me. Wonderful to see the two of you together having a good time!

Teddy in this video watches were secondary - i couldn't take my eyes off your immaculately tailored suit - big shoutout to whoever tailored it for you - they know how to cut the suit properly and the wrinkle-less back and the shoulder seams were just so perfect - Love it ✌️

I was happy to see that you each picked a Grand Seiko (my favorite brand) in your collection. For my taste, on balance, I'd go with Marc having the winning collection this go around. Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
This was my favorite "Watch Shopping" Challenge episode so far. I liked watches from both collections equally.
Some of my all time must have watches right there in both Teddy and Marc's selections!

Teddy I had the great pleasure meeting him at His place in West Lake Oh few weeks ago and been watching his UA-cam videos for several years. His choices were great as well! Tough one, very Close. I have been collecting watches for 5 years. Teddy and Mark have influenced and given me much to think about in the world of watches.
Both super strong choices! But I'm going with Marc on this one, some amazing choices! That Panodate is just so hard to beat, stunning.
I love shopping trips of any kind. People are generally passionate and knowledgeable. You two didn’t disappoint. I will give it to Marc because he picked watches from every genre. Though he almost lost with the gray shaded chrono (way too busy). The white asymmetrical watch made the collection as did the Grand Seiko. Teddy, I loved the Omega because it was simple. The mint chrono with the toothy bezel was a nightmare and the Otis wasn’t too bunched together for my tastes. Those makers owe you some kind of comp. Your enthusiasm likely sold some watches yesterdY
Teddy, you’re a true gentleman. Thank you for hosting Marc in your store in such a gracious manner. Both collections are incredible and worthy of the win, but I will give it to Marc this time - mainly because if the Grand Seiko he chose.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MaMaCoo and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Outstanding choices by both men. Both Grand Seiko's are excellent choices. I like Teddy's diversity in dial colors but for diversity of styles Mark has the nod.

Two of my favorite watch reviewers wrapped up in one! This was a lot of fun -- pity you didn't offer a give away from each selection! Teddy, the younger me liked your style and selections but the now older, more prudent me supports Marc. I can breathe in his store (budget wise) but would hyperventilate in yours! Heck, I was hyperventilating during the video!

MARC'S Collection is out the park, he won. He may dress casual but his watch taste is immaculate. Teddy's Glashutte Original pick was my favorite of the collection.

Both of you chose wonderful collections but I must admit that the variety in colour and complications of Teddy's choices wins my vote.
First off, Thank you both for amazing videos. Huge fan of Teddy and Marc. As far as my chosen collection, I will have to go with Marc. Marc selected diverse styles for different wear and occasions as Teddy's collection seems to be a bit more dressier across the styles selected.

I’m wearing that exact Islander Mark has on while watching this video! It’s been in my rotation for the last couple of days.
I have enjoyed and learned from both Teddy's and Marc's videos for a number of years. I even bought a couple of watches from Marc. What shows through in this video is that these guys really love watches. Sure, they are businessmen and make their living selling watches. But they are watch lovers first and businessmen second.
I give Teddy the edge; more color diversity makes the collection pop more to the eye.
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of amzwatch's watch 99% of people will never see.
