I'll never tire of these, I was sorry the show didn't continue. While all the "cool kids" were trashing it I found it upbeat, happy and uplifting. Sure its a bit campy, intentionally so. But its designed to be, and they had some real talent, especially Greg, Bobby, Carol and Alice, all who were stage performers. Its unfortunate in society folks are pressured to mock anything wholesome or innocent but I enjoy these videos and wish the original 16mm films would be released to the public. I believe the network has them in a vault, or one of the producers . These come from Australian TV where the show was quite popular and I'm glad to see them. Sometimes when I'm feeling a bit down I pop one on and feel a bit better. Hard not to. But they were working pros, unlike the Partridge family which was except for Keith and Shirley just a front. It takes a lot of talent and fitness to pull off a stage number like that and I wish they had done more of them. In fact, it would be great if the remaining kids got together with a producer and brought the old variety hour back. I bet it would be a hit.
Oh, trust me. This wasn't even close to being the worst "musical medley" that they did on this show (although they mercifully pulled the plug on this abomination after 3 or 4 episodes).
I have to admit, the band sounds great, especially the brass during “I Believe in Music.” I didn’t know Ann B. Davis could dance. She looked pretty decent on the last song, like she might have dabbled in tap in her younger days.
SO funny!!!! And "so very 70's" - note Lynn's platform shoes and Florence's "winged" hair! Funny tidbit.... Lynn Anderson and Paul Williams are "almost" brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Paul's brother, songwriter Mentor Williams, and Lynn have been "an item" for 20+ years.
This was horrible, but I actually think that Maureen McCormick was a decent singer/dancer. The best of this (Brady) bunch, anyway. PS - I'm convinced that Greg Williams thought he was Elvis 2.0 😃 (Somebody needed to work with him on his dancing. It was way too exaggerated).
Florence was the only experienced vocalist. It should have been her show. Barry was doing Pippin at the time, but playing Pippin was very different than doing a song-and-dance variety show. These medleys seem to start okay until he starts dancing (terribly stiff) then went off the rails when Rip Taylor came in. Maureen was the best dancer, but she wasn’t trained in singing or dancing, just going on raw talent, only. It’s unfortunate that this was during her coke phase. Geri could sing, and that was all she was asked to do.
You know your show is a hit when you can score Rip Torn AND Paul Williams are your guest stars. I feel cheated, though. 1) I don't believe Bobby was really playing the piano 2) I don't believe Rip Torn was really playing the tube,. However, I did Greg's dance moves and am seriously considering incorporating them into my daily life. P.S. I really do know Bobby and Greg weren't playing their respective instruments.
Yes Bobby was playing the Piano, he was a very talented young musician. This was very well done, just its happy and upbeat and a little intentionally silly so the "cool kids" can't let themselves like it. I get it. But they were actually great, and you should find the video of them at the Hollywood Bowl. They were hard working pros while the Partridge family except for David Cassidy were just props.
Rumor is Florence didn’t like Cindy since she snitched about her affair with Greg. So it was in her contract that Cindy be kept in the background on the show.
It was because she joked that she wished she had something else to do, like Jan (the original one who skipped this show to do a TV movie). She had to take Marcia’s part in one number (who was sick from too much drugs). And she gave Rich Little amnesia. I think that’s it. Oh, she wrote a book about this show, too.
It’s somehow fitting that Reed played a disturbed hit man in a great episode of HARRY O around this same time. He shoulda taken out the APPLAUSE sign in this venue instead of aiming at David Janssen.
Of all of the spin off shows based on the Brady Bunch this variety show makes no sense. They use these chorus girls to make it some what watchable with choreographed dance numbers otherwise it’s just the Brady’s lip 🎤 to recorded stuff swinging their arms and hips back and forth.
Robert Reed is just awful in everything on this stupid show. So was Maureen McCormick. Maybe don't build a song and dance show around people who can't do either?
I love how enthusiastic the, ummm, "audience" was.

I like ur perspective! I was born in the late 60's.
Sorry, this is awful.
Wow. Even cousin Oliver mad a guest appearance.
Ummmm that's Paul William's not cousin Oliver
Same thing doesn’t matter
Incredible resemblance. Different generation, though.
Well played. 😂
Paul Williams -- loved his music for "The Muppets."
Rip Taylor blew his tuba📯 and Alice came a knocking!😂
Just when you thought this couldn't get any worse, Milton Berle shows up with 20 Marie Antoinettes.
I like it as a 62 year old. When it came out in 1977 I would have never liked it. Tastes change as we age...
Paul Williams and cousin Oliver, one In The same I say.
this is the most insane thing I've ever seen
Oh, trust me. This wasn't even close to being the worst "musical medley" that they did on this show (although they mercifully pulled the plug on this abomination after 3 or 4 episodes).
Paul Williams...now that is one hell of a cool guy. One of the best singer/songwriters who ever lived.
Did you mean Barry?
@@kristinagoss6349
No, I didn’t.
Who gave Cousin Oliver a good singing voice?😊
That's Paul Williams
Greg's choreography looks like he's having the dry heaves standing up.
He’d realized that this was the end of his career. Henderson warbling was awful…
I have to admit, the band sounds great, especially the brass during “I Believe in Music.” I didn’t know Ann B. Davis could dance. She looked pretty decent on the last song, like she might have dabbled in tap in her younger days.
Me and Chris Wallace on Piano with Linda Hoxit.
Susan you look good.
at 1:35 Robert Reed is walking like he just spent the weekend at the Everard Baths
I love watching the brady bunch
They are very good 👍 👏 singer too.
They all have good 8
Voices too
SO funny!!!! And "so very 70's" - note Lynn's platform shoes and Florence's "winged" hair!

i heard somewhere that this is shown in Guantanamo :O
Music is my life music is my life music
Their "music" was a nightmare.
Rumor has it, Robert Reed and Rip Taylor had an argument back stage. They went outside and exchanged blows.
I love this stuff! Haha! Damn, Bobby was so cute!
I don’t remember this show at all, and seeing this I know why.
Paul Williams always freaked me out when I was a kid, looked like a live muppet to me. 🤣
Fake Jan was all "hold my beer. I got this"
Yes, Paul Williams!
Who knew Bobby was the next Liberace?
Mike was the family’s Liberace. Just look at how thrilled he is to vent his “inner flamboyant.”
FKn heart of Zeppelin era and they think kids want to hear the Brady dad singing ( trying to so BAD )
Robert Teed did t like the sitcom but he agreed to this? Interesting.
Maureen McCormick, Barry Williams and Florence Henderson were the best singers in the group. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@@harperstacey9604…Marsha was an average singer. Florence, Greg and that girl Jeri were good.

I believe the music and I really think Florence Henderson Was
a hot Babe Who knew she was hot
Dammit Lil Miss Cindy decided to channel the hell outta po Farrah Fawcett.
Best-ever Brady-related line: “Thee you the Thee-Thaw, Thindy!!!”
I didn't realize Piano Man was that old.
Viva Maureen!
It's because of shows like this that pay cable channels were started and the once great "Big Three" television networks saw their demise.
Didn’t know Dr.Zaus could sing
Damn you, Fake Jan ...
does anyone have the song "the way we were" sung by florence henderson with the brady montage in the background?
You know your show is a hit when you can score Rip Torn AND Paul Williams are your guest stars. Rip Taylor. Not rip torn

LA LA la
who is the singer with the pink flower in her hair?
cute
Wow. Did Cindy do ANYTHING during this show?
Rumor is Florence didn’t like Cindy since she snitched about her affair with Greg. So it was in her contract that Cindy be kept in the background on the show.
She showed up.
@@stephanim2436… and got a paycheck 👍

OMG!
Yes, please never confuse Rip Taylor and Rip Torn again. Torn is a BRILLIANT actor who was married to Geraldine Page, Taylor is a big goof.
That’s not Sam and that’s not Jan- 😆
4:00 the height difference I’m dying
As Mickey Rooney said when accepting an honorary award while hugging his presenter, Jayne Mansfield, "Who wants to be tall?"

Unbelievable
Great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at amazon! It's about the popular actor who tried for the role of Mike Brady!
Did Alice move to the convent after this?
I find this far more entertaining than any random episode of the series.
Fake 🎹 piano playing by Bobby. Lol. Fake Jan also. Lol
Fake Jan was good. The real Jan could really sing too but, fake Jan owned the stage.
2:12 Fake Jan was a fine singer. She knew how to shake her ass, too.
Of all of the spin off shows based on the Brady Bunch this variety show makes no sense. They use these chorus girls to make it some what watchable with choreographed dance numbers otherwise it’s just the Brady’s lip 🎤 to recorded stuff swinging their arms and hips back and forth.
@tulinmusclefan86 really? wow. But what about Robert Reed? He was gay also.
2:14 Somebody put a frog down Fake Jan's dress. 🐸
The show with the invisible audience......
This is why Maureen McCormick did cocaine...…..
🤣👍
Maureen McCormick was actually on drugs when these episodes aired. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Robert Reed is just awful in everything on this stupid show. So was Maureen McCormick. Maybe don't build a song and dance show around people who can't do either?
Fake Jan's voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard
Considering what a bunch of crap this was, I still would pork down on Marcia and give her some facial chowder.
"Pork down"? 😕
Rip Taylor is also sinfully gay (Romans 1:21-27)!
lol this is terrible
They all did it for the cash. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Lawrence Welk on acid.
