Great video! Was looking at using this bamboo, but worried about the maintenance. Amazing how tall it gets so quickly. How far apart did you space your initial plants? What depth does it go back to the fence?
Hi Owen, I appreciate the kind words. Like any plant, some form of maintenance is required. I find bamboo to be the lower end of the maintenance table. When I got them as little shoots - I planted them roughly 1.5m apart. Depth wise, I would say around 70cm. I hope that helps
@TryItJoye Thanks for the comment. Each clump, I space about 1m to 1.2m apart (3.2ft to 3.9ft). Once they're established, they will be firming in the ground and start to grow quite rapid.
@jjcastleberry3662 Great question, i live in an area where heaps of other big tree drop leaves in all our yards. Something we all gotta live with in these leafy suburbs.
looks like heaven in your backyard
A place we get some zen. Thanks for the comment mate :)
Gracillis (graceful) is looking very healthy. Good job. Love how you trimmed the bottoms.
Thank you mate! I appreciate the kind words. Yup the trimmed bottom gives the bamboo a good look.

Very nice! How wide does each clump grow? I'm looking to put this species in my raised beds but I'm not sure if they will fit full grown.
