But teaching other peoples kids DAILY, dealing different tempers and attitudes. What about nurses. Most don’t get $60-$70 hr.

Pathetic asking for 70 percent raise for a job any unskilled homeless person can do. I saw they make between 85k and 200k already. Teachers and nurses don’t make that and you need degrees and certifications! Cops and fireman don’t make that and they have to go into academies and the state police in my state require a bachelors degree to get on. All of these jobs require way more skills than a dock worker. What a joke asking for 70 percent raises that anyone could do taking crap off a boat and put it on a truck or train. 🙄 If they asked for a 20-30 percent raise people wouldn’t be upset. Very few of us are even well off, let alone rich. We work 8 hours here, 10 hours there, maybe 4 hours over there, and that might be our whole week. 22 hours at even $64 (which damn few will be) is still only 800 or so. That makes $3200 per month for the top rate employees. What kind of house can you afford on that? Not much. People don’t know, and they don’t care.

Pathetic asking for 70 percent raise for a job any unskilled homeless person can do. I saw they make between 85k and 200k already. Teachers and nurses don’t make that and you need degrees and certifications! Cops and fireman don’t make that and they have to go into academies and the state police in my state require a bachelors degree to get on. All of these jobs require way more skills than a dock worker. What a joke asking for 70 percent raises that anyone could do taking crap off a boat and put it on a truck or train. 🙄 If they asked for a 20-30 percent raise people wouldn’t be upset. I have heard nothing good about the dock workers from anyone I know after they found out what they already make and what they asked for! They hurt themselves with public opinion asking for that much.
