Several of the biggest market experts have been voicing their opinions on exactly how awful they think the next downturn would be, and how far equities may have to go, as recession draws closer and inflation continues well above the Fed's 2% objective. I'm trying to build a portfolio of at least $850k by the time I'm 60, therefore I need suggestions on what investments to make.
Most people either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-- lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.
On my end I've been in touch with a financial analyst ever since I started my business. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over $900k in a little over a year, my adviser chooses entry and exit orders.
Interesting, Mind if I ask you recommend this particular professional you use their service? honestly right now i have quite a lot of marketing problems.

So sad that we're not a society of fairness and decency in employment. Working is not safe or good for society. People have no choice but to harm others to stay alive. If I have a job, it's because someone else was cut off. No solidarity, no humanity. This is conservative paradise.
While I'm glad they are off. Strike now and the world can move on didn't last couple days that they were on strike probably made it bad for the world, even though it didn't last that long, but it made it really bad for people that needed stuff and couldn't get it. But maybe now that they're back to work. We will be able to live a good life. And maybe things will change. God bless everybody.
People are not stupid, people are tired of the heads of companies, the CEO's & Board making billions while those who do the work, make very little. People are right too about A.I. and automation, I'm honestly not sure how we can solve this problem, the greedy at the top are not going to listen they don't care. That's why people go on strike, we had to do it at Star bucks and even then individuals didn't get to see their raise until five months or more later, or some were fired before they even saw it. Big Company heads don't care unless you take action. It's sad.
CEOs are responsible for the company's financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic management. They make major decisions, set goals, and lead the management team. CEOs also oversee the company's various functions, including finance, marketing, sales, human resources, legal, compliance, and IT.
Why would easily replaced workers pay move as profits do? Workers get paid to do a job. They aren't connected to the success or decisions of a company. Management is. Workers work. The only purpose for Workers wanting a company to succeed is for a pension. That's it. China went fully automated. If you don't like being a worker, start a business
I do not mind automation of dangerous jobs. But using it to replace people does not benefit the general public. Maybe companies that automate should pay extra taxes to support people unemployed by automation. The union did not "fool around".
Everyone i know is so mad that they are striking. Which is the reason I believe we as a country are screwed. Everyone only cares about themselves and don't like a strike if they think it's going to effect there own lives at all.
I'm a self-employed carpenter and the guy I was working for today (small 2 day job) was going on and on about how the dock workers need more money. He then said all workers need more money. I said straight-faced "Ok, I'll be needing 77% more money for this job or I'll be going on strike". He looked like I had 2 heads and said "no, we agreed on a price and that's all I'm gonna pay". I said "so did the dockworkers when they signed their contracts". I packed my shit and went home. It's all fine and good until it becomes YOUR money.
inflation, automation, 3rd world "immigrants" making wages extremely competitive, rising rent, rising homelessness, rising unemployed, open borders, unchecked drug trade, stories like Epstein & Pdiddy becoming more common, and our office holders escalating wars in the middle east rather than ensuring basic things like a healthy middle class on the home front. But when US dock workers actually do something about losing their ability to survive--that's a problem for you? US workers are being replaced. Wake up.
Hard-working LMFAO that's what they get for taking their sweet ass time loading containers, taking 2 hour lunches. What about the truck drivers who get paid by the load not the hour
Evergreen Marine, the company that gave employees the bonus, is actually based in Taiwan, not France. There's no credible report of a CEO taking a $4 billion bonus. Also, no shipping company earns more than Amazon. For context, MSC made $91.7 billion in 2023, while Amazon's revenue was $574.79 billion-nowhere near 3x. Why does DN keep interviewing people with such misinformation?
@@grey4509 The NY Post has an article about Evergreen Marine's bonuses dated Mar 20, 2023. If you check their website, you'll see that the company is based in Taiwan and was founded by Dr. Yung-Fa Chang in Taipei, Taiwan on September 1, 1968. While I can't definitively disprove the claim about the CEO taking a $4 billion bonus, I also couldn't find any other credible sources to support it. But without an education or ability to review consequences of said actions. You see a repeat of the same things. Modernization is critical for every industry; and trying to fight against that is a losing proposition.
