looking at the ingredients, the problem may be more from the sugars. the plant based uses allulose, the regular corn syrup. also much less sweetener is used overall. they could've still used corn syrup, or at least all real sugar and kept it vegan.
*Processed* plant based foods are expensive. The fundamental whole foods (legumes, beans, grains, produce depending on where you shop) making up a plant based diet are not expensive lol. Meat and dairy are subsidized by the government so items can be “cheaper”. The system is screwed up.
Exactly! I get by cheaply since I mostly eat whole foods. I hate all of the overly-processed "substitute" items.
They are not even healthy as they make it seem... A lot of times, they're worse than what they're trying to mimic.

I haven’t had a starburst in decades! The red is my favourite and ours never had cherry. Would stick to the OG than move over to the vegan versions. Thanks for the review.

I enjoy Starbursts once in awhile because of my teeth (surgeries) and skip the three.

I'm not a gummy fan, but I don't mind fruit snacks. They're not something I'd pick though.
Not knocking on anyone who enjoys these, but I'd rather have real fruit 😅
But something I wonder all of the time is why they don't sell a bag of just citrus starbursts. Because as a kid, I hated the strawberry and cherry ones... I wanted orange and lemon!

So are the Starbucks gummies softer and easier to chew than the regular Starburst? I realize the original tastes better but if it's easier to chew I'd like to try them but not the plant based ones 😂

I do like gummy candy but honestly... I would just get the Pink Starbursts. However... I would get the actual gummies and not the fruit snacks.

Most “fruit snacks” are accidentally Vegan unless they contain gelatin so I’d definitely say pass on those for sure. 😂 I would need the portion control of kid sized pouches anyway because I can’t be trusted with a big bag. 😊

I wish I liked gummy candy more. The plant based didn’t sound good at all. I would rather buy the original Starbursts as well. The orange and cherry were always my favorite! Great review.

I don't like gummies cause they are hard to chew.
