Truly nails the "lost game" thing, that so many are trying to do. Spectacularly. Reminds me of some highly polished, Western-developed titles like Rocket: Robot on Wheels or something. Love how natural the player's contact with the floor is, how they can step up and disengage from ledges flawlessly. The animation and movement are enviably well-combined, too.
I really like the game, but the towers are no joke, it'll basically tests your skills. Near the end of the first tower at the chasing part, it really gets tough, I died a lot trying to make it right.
I want more new games looking and sounding like this. Screw 4K, ultra realism, I want fun. Imagine how many more games could be made by AAA Devs if they chased fun over graphics?
this actually brings me back; I played Super Mario 64 a few years ago and this gives off a different vibe from that but also is very similar with how the worlds and characters look.
Fun platformed but ultimately a 6 or 7 out of 10 for me because of how cryptic it is and how precise and unforgiving the platforming is. The graphics, while awesome, made it unclear where certain ledges or climbable objects were which was incredibly frustrating. But the gameplay and open world style with many changeable parts was great
The lack of multiple routes and the amount of invisible walls I ran into were very frustrating but I found the difficult platforming to be very refreshing for the genre.
Such a good game but there's a few parts that are so poor it seems they wasn't enough play testing. 47:36 this area was such a cluster I could've tell that fence was any different. They should've at least made it a different color or something. Especially since this part is so critical you need to go past it to get the drill. 50:09 tried this ground pound jump countless times, didn't work, didn't think you could get up there without doing something else. (seems to be a programming bug where if you neutral bounce on it, the large bounce won't work, you have to do the large bounce first) 57:00 this gem just sucked. very awkwardly placed, prob took me 20 tries because it didn't even seem like you could get it even with the water up. the bad camera makes it worse. 1:06:02 I got all the way to this part when you open the music machine, then the game just starts a timer and unlike all the other timer sessions, this one just doesn't make it clear at all what you're supposed to do or where to go. 1:09:35 there's absolutely nothing hinting that hitting these owls will move them into the correct spot later. I don't know how anyone is supposed to guess such an oddly specific thing. 2:06:04 this jump is just stupid. not sure how anyone is supposed to even find it. 2:07:27 I don't know how youre supposed to consistently be able to climb this pole without jumping off at awkward angles. the awful camera this game has makes parts like this that should be easy very difficult Don't mean to be all negative, these are just my minor critiques. Still overall love this game I can see the passion put into it.
@@Therian4Life1573 that was so efing funny. I love how confident they were, like "WE are ALL here because of THIS😤 part". I clicked their time stamp out of curiosity and it's just the most basic 3d platformer thing ever, like bruh 😭🤣🤣

It brings tears to my eyes that older generation gaming is making a return.
The generation I grew up in.
you know, with how small the N64’s original library was, all these N64 inspired games are just going to fill it up! And I’m here for it
whatever you say noah
fun fact: there was in fact a real unicorn goat, his name was lancelot!

This game reminds me of Invader Zim
Yeah, which makes it...weird. It's nostalgia for two things at once, but those things didn't quite overlap.
Those glowing soda machines were everywhere in the 2000s
towards the end of the game the platforming gets insane, this ain't no Assassin's Creed

This is very Conker's Bad Fur Day vibes.
@@randfur And Banjo-Kazooie vibes, too
This game was great but damn it, sometimes it was too criptic to where to go next! jeez

This game needs more levels and more bosses. I mean, 2 stages and 1 boss isn't enough for one game.

These indie game clones are fun but they're always so short.
This game has been in development since 2011, so I don't think it's a "clone" game.
@doot6511 what I meant by that is that CornKidz is essentially a Mario 64 type game, only it has a fraction of the content
This is not an accurate amount of playtime. If you watch the video there are large segments edited out which defeats the point of a longplay.
Honestly prefer it to games that try to be 50+ hours long
Rather have short but fun games over a bloated, unfun open world game. As long as they're priced appropriately like this game.
"The unauthorized, kid-friendly version of the classic Stephen King thriller" ?
Which Stephen King thriller?
Children of the Corn
Me lembrou Banjo Kazooie, sensacional

We are all here to see how to overcome this part
incredible game but sometimes the game forces us to guess certain things
Nobody's here to see that, it was a simple wall jump into drill 😭😭
Yeah. Totally a imposible part where you need to guess what to do.
Too bad there isn't a note telling you exactly how to do it

6:10 I HATE THIS PART WITH ALL MY SOUL
You're supposed to come back later
Where have I seen that run animation before...
10:30 I tried to complete that challenge, but I can't due to clunky controls.
I just struggled with that, I can relate.
5:52
32:00 I hate this challenge so much; I can’t get up there!
Did you make it??
