Low Key one of the best tracks in the game. It just carries that energy of determination and N64 grunge with it.

Lmao seeing that fucking Owl in the top right with its eyes bulging out always cracks me up.

I can't get enough of Alexis' idle animation. Everytime I came back to the tutorial to check if I missed something I spent like half a minute just looking at her shmoovin around the map, that combined with this theme just made that area such a vibe.

It will never leave. It will never leave. IT WILL NEVER LEAVE! Lexi's Monster Park should have been the hub for this track alone.

When listening to this song for the first time, it really created that nostalgic sound and retro vibe and reminds me of a old game that I can't recall of some kind of 'cool polar bear'. But either way, this song is an absolute bop to listen to as I love how it bounces with that grunge guitar.

      silicon valley for the n64?

No, What I can vaguely remember, it looks like the "ICEE Polar Bear" in some kind of game, with outdoors, night city or something like that. Where you would run around or so. Not sure if it was N64 or PS1/2 or something at the time. @@v1griffin251

Need to actually get this game. Played Cavern of Dreams recently, and I hope this N64-like trend continues.

There’s plenty of ps1 style horror games. We need more n64 style games

@@waffles6527 I commented about Corn Kidz 64(among a list of other single player games) in Bluedrake42 video "This is bad news..." , whose video was about noticing that quite often game dev studios with a publisher above them tend to be pressured into putting micro-transactions into games.
pre 2m40s, its about the Insurgency game devs being let go.
2m40s - 4m35 some historical context. an intro to the main things/points Bluedrake42 would go over in the video.
      edit1:
Corn Kidz 64 is in an unusual condition where All Reviews (96% positive) is categorized "Very Positive" (I think 500+ reviews and >95% positive needed to enter "Overwhelmingly Positive"),
and Recent Reviews (97% positive) is "Overwhelmingly Positive" (>95% and 100+ reviews I think, to go from "Very Positive" to "Overwhelmingly Positive")

The only thing wrong with this game is how short it is.
Okay that's not completely true, but man it's so good

As much as people love the game to death, and I can surely understand why...I am so sorry, but this really didn't click with me all too much. Now don't get me wrong, the soundtrack slaps like nothing else, and the controls were goddamn beautiful. But there were two things holding me back from loving this game.
1: There is little to no direction at all with objectives. I'm not asking the game to hold my hand or anything, and I may just suck at taking whatever cues the game might have thrown my way. But holy nachos, this game doesn't seem to give you any sort of idea of what objectives and whatnot might earn you some of that sweet xp.
2: The lenght. Now, this is super subjective, I understand. And quite frankly, I expect a lot of people to disagree with me, which I get. But...one tutorial level and one world? With some side levels and a final test? That is WAY too little for all the potential this game had!
Maybe I'll go back and try finishing the game someday. But for now, I'll stick to listening to it's tunes and be happy that the retro-game style is going strong :)

I do feel ya, this game feels almost too good to be this short but the one world present is chokfull of stuff to do with some backtracking to the tutorial world for a few secrets so its not completely void of content. I think it just has to be accepted that if you play indie games, you might not get to play with an awesome moveset forever like Banjo or mario 64. Pseudoregalia is the same but its still worth *experiencing* it. Same thing with Kiwi 64 if you tried it. Immaculate vibes but can be finished in an afternoon but hey, thats the length of a movie right? And you payed 5-10 bucks for it. I think thats a pretty good value overall.

Oh, for sure. And I'm super glad I got to experience Corn Kidz for what it was worth, don't get me wrong! I realise I set my nose up for more than I was getting. And sometimes, the best experiences are indeed the shorter ones. A tight little package wrapped with a nice bow. At the end of the day, it might not have clicked with me the same way as many others. But I still respect the hell outta the creators and the game itself and hope lots of people have hours upon hours of fun with it

To be honest, I knew that if I quit playing the game at anytime, I'd probably not return to it. BUT I stuck it through and completionisted it and I'm glad I did! It quickly turned into one of the coolest little indie games I ever played because of the sheer AMOUNT of hidden items there are! (I looked up guides, but still had a blast just seeing how endlessly creative this game got with it's treasures.) This game is legit like those old videos we all saw online as a kid of "How to Unlock Luigi in Mario 64". If you are into that kind of thing, dive back in! That's where all the fun really is in this game! (at least I think so anyways!)
