Although I liked the designs of the bigger battle Cruiser and the Dreadnaught, I thought the scarab design was a great design, very distinctive. Calling it a bug feels too insulting.
@@msharp6887 no but they also don’t have equivalent to runabouts and Shuttles. These ships serve as Transport for Founders and Vorta as well as Fighters. Given the end of the Dominion war the Dominion likely had to open an Embassy in the Alpha/Beta Quadrant so it’s likely that these ship took on transport roles between the Quadrant. They also likely had logistics roles.
The scarab bottom and top are kinda strange. What are the purple glowy stripes for? It would make this ship stick out like a firefly, or the Firefly Serenity. You could do a FleetYards on Serenity. The enemy would be drawn to it's stern. Fire here. Pew pew.
You made a mistake when rendering the ship as the 2 aft sections are merged in you renders instead of the scarab wing covers being above the other section just like the DS9's Attack ship.
This new Jem'Hadar bug ship it's...interesting but I have to agree with Stuart that for the aesthetics terms for looks the original one looks a lot better. I am surprised there are windows on the game renders since there's supposedly none on the actual ship in the show.
Is this the same Jem'hadar strike cruiser that was introduced in Star Trek dominion wars, it looks a little bit different here, but it's too close to really be a different design entirely, so I'm just curious Are we looking at the same ship?
here's what i want to know.. I'm an old, old player that just came back this year.. Whats the difference in the OG attack ship and the new bugs that are free? The OG attack ship was at one point the most OP and sought after escort in game but now it seems to almost not exist? I still have an OG attack ship that says attack ship in the little bio screen or whatever and it has a different name than the newer free bugs.

Maybe the windows are the Dominion changing this class’s Role a bit. This one might be more suited to Diplomatic and transport roles.
They don’t have Jen hadar transport and diplomatic roles.

@@terranempire2 actually canonically they withdraw to the gamma quadrant and we’re not heard of again.

They rendered the model wrong the scarab wing plate covers are lower than they should be.
The Bug Ship is actually better aft. Less glowing parts.

I believe what happened is this is a rendering of one of the alternate skins available in game that's why it looks a little different

Its faithful but honestly it could be better
