Hi Laura, I am looking forward to planting blueberries this spring ( I live in Iowa). I thought that I would plant them where we removed a pine tree last year. Now I'm not sure if I should plant it in the ground or in a large pot. I trust your expertise.
Hi! If your soil is very acidic, with a ph of 4.5 - 5.5 then plant the blueberries directly in the ground. If your soil is more alkaline, then planting the blueberries in a pot, with more acidic potting soil, and then sinking the POT in the ground, will help keep your blueberries healthy and productive, with acid soil that does not lose its acidity to the surrounding soil. Hope That Helps!
💚
Really sweet.
Thanks so much! Now I have to add two more apples to my wishlist! 😅
