I like Jake because he goes to the point. I always have to advance John’s videos to get to the hard facts. If he infused less extraneous talk I could afford to use my time to watch more of his videos. Jake is a natural educator.
You were so hospitable John! :) Thanks for your time and expertise! You are welcome at our house here in Phoenix anytime! We'll have some raw food from the garden waiting for you!!! ;)
John, This guy has a way better camera than you do. it looks much better. can you get a better camera please so when I watch your videos I can see your plants and compost more clearly. thanks

VeganAthlete Nice score w/ John...nice of his to share his own desert garden. Would love to obtain some of that latter plants seeds to try in a fall organic straw bales...also in Tempe...
Dinosaur kale smoothie every morning for 31 months and counting. King of vegetable. Also, thanks to you, I now know the name for #4 vegetable. Grew up eating it in SE Asia. You were right about the medicinal values. IMMEDIATELY looked it up in Amazon and bought 2 plants. THANK YOU!!!
This is great to see when gardeners partner up and share their knowledge. I've been watching Johns videos for a long time and I just started to follow your channel Jake; I love how you both garden and the content of your videos. Cheers
Thanks for the video Jake I'll have to grow some of these desert treats. I'm glad your bringing the super stars of gardeners and not just them but other gardeners into the mix. Knowledge from anywhere you can get it can be really useful.
OH my Gosh! I've been watching you guys for years & didn't realize you did a video together. Love it ! You two have really inspired me to plant all kinds of things. Keep up the great work!
Jake has reproduced. 😂 him and his beautiful wife Nichole have recently welcomed 2 beautiful twin girls into their already growing family with their absolutely gorgeous baby boy Fox. Congratulations!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us and including a bunch of strangers along for the ride on your amazing journey.
Such a great and informative vid, from two of my fav guru's. I especially like the info about seeds acclimating to the environment the mother plant lives in. Now I will definitely save my seeds, which I was not doing before. This explains why volunteers the next season do so well! Can't wait to try it. Thanks Jake. : )
you should chop up fresh Swiss chard with garlic avocado and lemon it is really good you can even throw in anything else that you like chopped tomatoes cucumbers
Good plant choices...may be passing this vid along to my California friends. I have quite a few associates who are revamping their lawns/gardens to accommodate the drought.
Two of my favorite gardening guys together!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for helping us newbies. I am totally inspired by both of you! Jake, I hope to some day get some seeds from you. :)
I grew some kale a couple years ago and it did really well...but nice lookin garden really inspiring. I just planted a garden so hopefully I’ll get it dialed in quickly.
Awesome you guys give wisdom life is a journey be healthy thru all this Covid non-sense in my opinion yes the mono crop pesticides yes you guys are healthy Amen
I raised some Swiss Chard, and the first time I ate one of the leaves, fresh out of the garden, I actually felt HIGH from the nutrition boost I got from it. Absolutely amazing how deficient our bodies really are in these nutrients! I got an even BETTER effect when I ate SWEET POTATOES!! Eating 'orange', not oranges, but orange foods, like sweet potatoes, yams, pumpkin, winter squash, will increase your MEMORY (brain power!) and help your mood improve AMAZINGLY!! When I ate sweet potatoes a couple years ago, my sense of humor went into overdrive for about three hours!! I now try to eat 'orange' foods a couple of times a week!! And did you know that lycopean (sp) found in TOMATOE SAUCE reduces your risk of heart attack by FORTY PERCENT?! Eat some ketchup on those fries!
thank you both for sharing, been watching John for a little while & it led me to you. I'll be getting some stuff from your store Jake. when is the best time to plant these?
Thank you John and Jake for this video, ,i have to say i start my organic garden because i wash John Chanel,i love it but on the way i feel he became a commercial person and i stop to see hes videos. But i like this video.thank you for sheering..!!
Bruce Lee Did that in his Enter the Dragon Movie and Commented: Boards Don't Fight Back. Plant the Malunggay with its Drought Resistance Characteristic Could mean can give No Dryness Libido to Both you Have the Garden Talk but not Human Breeding.
Seems like John doesnt utilize the woodchips for top soil method. Ive seen him do videos about the chipped wood but seems like he doesnt use it at home. Its my secret weapon against the phoenix heat. Thanks to Jake Mace.
27:20 watering with cold water in hot temperature, I feel like an idiot for not trying that. fuck. Also was unsure whether or not to water so soon after the last watering in the heat. Much less 4 times in a single day as John mentioned. Good ideas, nigga.
I'm looking to buy "Perennial Tree Collard Greens" and need to know where I can buy them in the Las Vegas valley. I've grown regular collard greens and done well but I just don't have the room to grow enough to have a large harvest.

I quote the great Bruce Lee from Enter the Dragon...."Boards don't hit back" ;P
How do you save peppers for a year like that?
Hey I'm just moving from England to Vegas - I only have a balcony--what do you think I can do out there? So used to soil!!
Hey guys... do you have Ylang Ylang plants available?
How are you shading, i live in pahrump and if i dont shade it burns. Where do you get tree collards?
boards don't hit back! Bruce Lee enter the dragon lol
john pretty intense about his back yard youtube gardening
Hi!!! Can I buy your plants? Specially the ashitaba...
Omg Ik both of u
boards don't hit back. (Bruce Lee voice) lol
I don't think you guys eat all of your veggies. Most of them goes to waste?
Can someone answer why when they say something is very rare I go to Amazon and there it is.are they not real?or not a good plant?
And John is still wearing that stupid pendant that doesn't do a darn thing. But the video is interesting since I live in Southern Nevada.
Mark Gailmor So!
Most pendants are just for looks I always thought. Maybe I should get one that does something 🤔
👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👊🏾😒 This jake guy has copy a lot of John kohler UA-cam videos if not everything and tittles 😒✋🏾
