For reals. Small monsters really just love getting in the way and being suicidal. You can use sonic bombs on remobras by the way, it will force them to fall to the ground, might help you deal with them quicker, or if you're trying to kill them for materials.
I don't know why, but I love the Shogun Ceanataur. The fact that it's a giant crab with sword arms and a beautiful blue carapace might have to do with it.

Aw lol You can do it! Make sure you have decent armor so it doesn't do a lot of damage, and it's fine to take breaks and come back with new strategies, maybe try a different weapon for a while if yours feels like it's not working, or just to try again. Each time you fail you get a little closer to mastery, you can do it! 😄 There's no consequence for failure, no competitions here :) (also if you abandon quest, you get the items that you used back, so it's like it never happened, I always thought that was nice. Lets me feel like I can experiment.)

It's really up to personal preference. I use an xbox one controller and it's very good IMO, I used to use an xbox 360 one before. If you don't like how bulky it is compared to a playstation one, you can use that one instead, but xbox controllers work with windows without needing any additional setup, the playstation controller (from what I can remember) will need a separate program to get it to work. When you do get around to using it, I'd highly recommend setting the right stick to move the camera left and right (I use the sticks click in button to move it up and down) so you don't have to do the claw thing to move the camera 😅😅

Anyone else having trouble getting the legs? I'm doing the low rank guild hall quests and I'd like green sharpness before dealing with khezu but neither me or a friend can get his legs to drop.
Maybe you're just getting unlucky :( I'm not really sure, I see people say it drops in low rank, so If you want green sharpness for Khezu, depending on your weapon, I'm sure there is one. For longsword, the Iron Katana 'Gospel' has green sharpness, the Steel Gunlance has green sharpness, for Greatsword, the Ravager Blade has green as well. gamefaqs.gamespot.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/57283 You can use this guide to help find a weapon for what point you're at in the game, but good luck with anything you're up to either way! :)
Dont get caught in your combos. Very great advice. Im doing lance and find my attack animation hasnt finished when im hitting the block button. Also what is it in the last 10sec of all these vids. Its blurry lights?
Well, there's different types of attacks and effects from attacks The lightest you can be "hit" is the stagger where your character just flinches, like when another player kicks you Next is being knocked over, this is a stronger hit but not enough to make you do the get up animation Then there are moves that send you flying, there's a couple of types, one where you land, rolling, and one where you land on your head and slump over. The rolling one has a faster recovery, the other one is slower, can't think of many examples of them off the top of my head. Anyways, some weapons have "super armor" during different times which will make them ignore small and/or medium knockbacks, as well as some auxiliary effects like wind pressure. SNS for example can ignore light wind pressure by using the jumping attack. Most notable are LS and GS, as you're attacking you can't be staggered by small hits, but you can still be sent flying and that will interrupt your attack. Also notable is Hammer and Lance/Gunlance which are particularly susceptible to being interrupted since they lack super armor with their moves. I don't know many specifics behind the mechanic but that's about all I can tell from just observation, hopefully that helped and cleared some stuff up.

Hey, great job! The high rank Ceanataur armor is incredible too, it can carry you pretty far into G-Rank, the skills are that good. Once you get to it, if you wanted to upgrade your armor, that'd be a good one to invest in 😄 Keep it up! 🙂
The low rank armor isn't as good as the high rank one, but if you think you need the extra defense then you can. Once you're in G-Rank, you can get the next best set, the skull set, after beating the G-rank shogun subspecies. This is the best, or one of the best, armor sets for blademasters in G-Rank: ua-cam.com/video/2vlSFWM5kXY/v-deo.html Depending on your weapon there's definitely better options, but even then, this set does some pretty heavy lifting.

Haha, the classics never die! 😄 And I agree, mixed sets without a third party calculator is a huge criticism I have of the older games armor skill system, it's hard to be optimal, there are just way too many numbers and factors that may or may not be beneficial. The skill system in 5th gen onwards, while being much simpler, is overall better IMO, because it just makes sense. You get a skill point, you get a skill effect, you don't have to use a calculator to hyper optimize a mixed set, you can just throw one together and it'll basically be like 70% of the way there, or at the very least closer than the older ones lol That being said, we do have third party armor set searches, and they're incredible, and people like Athena have made playing the old games so much better than it could be, them along with so many other names from GameFAQs etc. Hell, the hunsterverse people too. I feel like we, as a community, have made the old games so much better than they would have been on their own, and I think that's worth considering. Obviously they're great games on their own as well, otherwise we would've never stuck around :P
Yeah, what they said... Multi monster fights are...... difficult.... If they're in the same area, you basically want to juggle smoke bombs.... making sure to keep them active, and hope that the tigrex doesn't go towards the other one, or knock you into them. Flash bombs can help as well, and so can traps. Once you kill one, it becomes a normal hunt, but until then, it can be awful. On the upside, they usually have less HP each, unless it didn't work that way in MHFU. If they don't force you to fight it in an arena, try to use dung bombs to get one of them to run away. Make sure to paintball both of them, so they don't sneak up on you. And HGE might save your life, if one enters the area and roars, the other can hit you if you're stunned by it.

1:22 also if you can get him to hit the rocks with his attacks, the pincers in 1 or 2 explosions will break (sometimes both pincers break which is great), you just have to wait for him to chase you and stand next to the rocks, and when he is about to attack you, roll to the side since the explosion can do a lot of damage, so it is very useful to save traps and time
IMO, I think the best weapon to fight against him is GS.(I GS main and farming him was a breeze) why? When you do charge attacks, you won't be interrupted with his normal attacks meaning you can hit almost lvl 3 charge every fucking time. So you only need to look out for his charge attacks and claw swipe. Downside of this is that you have to be tanky which can be fixed with megas of course.

Correction: The burrow strike can happen as many as three times before he uses it to surface. If you're positioned in front of where he's facing as he pops out, it increases the likelihood that he tries again. If you move behind him after the first burrow strike he should give up and just surface.

Are the drop rates of pincers really that low? I broke it's claws yet I didn't get a single pincer, yet you got it from a carve. I need it to craft a high raw damage bow.
The nature of RNG isn't necessarily that there's a chance to get something, just that there's always a chance to NOT get something. If you have a 90% chance to get something, and are extremely unlucky, you could literally never get it to happen, though it's ridiculously unlikely. You just have to keep doing it. On the upside, you'll get better at the fight as you do it more 🙂 Specifically: There's an 18% chance to get it as a reward if you break both pincers. A 24% chance to get it as a reward if you capture it (do that) and a 2% chance to get it from a carve, lmao. 😎 Just keep trying, break both pincers and capture it.
I'd recommend you get better armor, maybe? If you're not using the hermitaur set, it's very good and gives you a ton of defenses early on. Other than that, just know when you should stick around and attack it, and when you should avoid damage. Some of its attacks deal much more damage than others.
When it comes to get its pincer: you just have to charge and aim at its claws with your longsword or keep a distance, time its attacks and attacks the claws given the opportunity

Turns out he can burrow and attack multiple times like Daimyo Hermitaur, though it might be exclusive to the guild quests.

1:22 also if you can get him to hit the rocks with his attacks, the pincers in 1 or 2 explosions will break (sometimes both pincers break which is great), you just have to wait for him to chase you and stand next to the rocks, and when he is about to attack you, roll to the side since the explosion can do a lot of damage, so it is very useful to save traps and time
IMO, I think the best weapon to fight against him is GS.(I GS main and farming him was a breeze) why? When you do charge attacks, you won't be interrupted with his normal attacks meaning you can hit almost lvl 3 charge every fucking time. So you only need to look out for his charge attacks and claw swipe. Downside of this is that you have to be tanky which can be fixed with megas of course.
Yeah GS is pretty good.

Correction: The burrow strike can happen as many as three times before he uses it to surface. If you're positioned in front of where he's facing as he pops out, it increases the likelihood that he tries again. If you move behind him after the first burrow strike he should give up and just surface.

i forgot to watch this when i was at 4* and i also did not know the shell could break. also is the gravios shell breakable
I'm pretty sure all of the shells are breakable but only the gravios one can shoot the water beam thing
Are the drop rates of pincers really that low? I broke it's claws yet I didn't get a single pincer, yet you got it from a carve. I need it to craft a high raw damage bow.
The nature of RNG isn't necessarily that there's a chance to get something, just that there's always a chance to NOT get something.
If you have a 90% chance to get something, and are extremely unlucky, you could literally never get it to happen, though it's ridiculously unlikely.
You just have to keep doing it. On the upside, you'll get better at the fight as you do it more 🙂
Specifically:
There's an 18% chance to get it as a reward if you break both pincers.
A 24% chance to get it as a reward if you capture it (do that)
and a 2% chance to get it from a carve, lmao. 😎
Just keep trying, break both pincers and capture it.

I'd recommend you get better armor, maybe?
If you're not using the hermitaur set, it's very good and gives you a ton of defenses early on.
Other than that, just know when you should stick around and attack it, and when you should avoid damage.
Some of its attacks deal much more damage than others.
I use the daimyo set, but he can't take many blows, each part of the being is level 6,7,9
When it comes to get its pincer: you just have to charge and aim at its claws with your longsword or keep a distance, time its attacks and attacks the claws given the opportunity
The Shogun Armor is soooo gud for low ranks. 100% worth to farm c:
