- Chris Stapleton performs 'Rainbows Never Die' during the encore at his Charlottesville, VA tour stop on 10/5/23 as a dedication to his longtime friend Mike Henderson from the SteelDrivers who recently passed away.
Be blessed Chris Stapleton - your light shines through your songs. Prayers - Angels - Peace- Love & Light always.
Just his speech at the beginning brings tears to the eye. We love you Chris.
In tears im the baby n only girl my brother thats 8 years older basically raised me bcuz of our parents work schedules but from my birth to today he always carried me on his hip always took great care of me from combing my hair getting me to n from school ballet school piano lessons everything I needed he made sure it was done. When he was 18 the summer after he graduated from 12th grade he was in a horrible motorcycle accident that should have taken his life and he coded 3 times in ambulance 4 times on the operating table top it off me n my parents were at Disney World at the time. He was in coma for a few months woke up with rods plstes n screws holding his right leg back together and his right arm n hand paralyzed which led to him becoming addicted to shooting up cocaine which landed him in stealing cars that ended up putting him in the penitentiary from 19 yrs old to 55 in n out all his adult life his last bid he finished 6 yrs ago this is the longest he has ever been out of jail we live in different states n he never asks me to help him out with nothing he is going thru hell n high water right now and today was really a bad day for him i always Pray that God forever Bless him n keeps him and bring him some rainbows light n love into his everyday life for him to stay clean find a good woman get married and live the rest as a happy drug free great life for he keeps crying to me saying sis im 60 yrs old n I have nothing I gave all my life to the penitentiary my life is over. All I can do is tell him Pray and remind him I gott his back all to keep him from going back down that rabbit hole. My brother is a great man loves kids n kids love him thats 1 thing that keeps him in happy mode kids. Please Jesus let my brother keep seeing the RAINBOWS 🌈 🙏 ❤
One of my favorite songs of all time. Actually probably is my favorite.
Thank you for recording this. Henderson and Stapleton wrote all the songs on Reckless and it's one of the best albums ever.
RIP Mike Henderson your talent will be missed
Tearing up listening to this song. Goodness. God Bless you Chris Stapleton.
Chris did an emotional rendition of this song at Hendo's service. Hendo will be greatly missed, but the songs he wrote, including this one he and Chris wrote for the SteelDriver's second album "Restless", will live on. Just a truly great song. RIP

This is absolutely about my Daddy. He’s amazing
RIP Mr. Henderson!
Ain't it the truth. Brother
He s the Bomb
❤
I am mesmerized with his songs.
So cool!!❤❤❤
Too bad that girl singing spoiled the experience of hearing Chris's beautiful voice during his song. I'd be so peeved if I paid to go see him and got stuck next to her😢
Too bad people seem to forget others have the right to sing or dance at a show, if they choose.
I know what you mean, I’ve payed big bucks to see Dwight Yoakam have great seats and some drunk ass, stand up and ruin the entire show, she’s obnoxious.
She's just enjoying the show, no judgment...
You mean his wife.
That was not his wife lol 2:28 am
Get her done
Some do!!
You’re amazing Chris Love you ❤. Keep it up. Georgia Peach 🍑🍑🍑
🎉
Not to be disrespectful but I love Chris Stapleton and all of his songs so it would have been nice to have heard him sing this song, not you!!!
You should be able to do what you want at a concert. You paid good money for it.
^^^I think we found the drunk girl who ruined the song for most of us 🤣^^^
i lived that life! did you? make it right
Beautiful song but I have to agree at times the girls voice that was being picked up did kind of spoil it still ❤ you all though
Steele
You ready for Americans You should be
I wish people would just listen to the singer and stop screaming and hooting. It just ruins it for everyone else. No one wants to hear other people sing unless the performer encourages a singalong.
Sometimes I think the performers are happy when people know the words to their songs. It's a compliment.
Amazing song.... too bad I could hear more of tone-deaf-Tammy than him though :P
Yea, she's not too good. Almost ruined it!
What a stupid thing to say about Patty Lovelace
Got to love this man
