A question: do you know what the chainline differential (in mm) is between the Sram Eagle GX 12-speed cassette on an XDR freehub - and the a Shimano GRX (obviously, 11-speed) cassette on a Shimano freehub? I have upgraded my GRX groupset to a Sram eTap AXS / Eagle XX0 / Eagle GX mullet, but have kept the Easton EA 1x chainset installed (and unmodified), and my chain keeps skipping teeth (or even cogs), especially when grinding or on smaller cogs. Microadjusting the derailleur from the levers doesn't help, nor does adjusting the the inner / outer limit screws. The B-screw set up in accordance with supplied instructions, using the plastic guide, supplied with the derailleur. And a (Shimano - that's all I had) 1.85mm cassette shim is installed as well. Thank you.
I actually want to go the reverse! I want to use a SRAM road, closer gear ratio on my MTB. Can I replace the XD for the XDR on my GX eagle and swap cassettes and done ??
I have a question ... Fitted SRAM 12Sp XD cassette to XDR hub... I couldn't get hold of 1.85mm spacer ... So fitted it without... It seems to look ok n feels stable... What's the likely outcome of no spacer
@@norseman1137 As said before, you don't necessarily need one, as the cassette itself should jam against the XD Driver(either at the outer step of it or at be bevelled edge near the end of the threads)& remain with a space at the inner most section...
Hi, i need help here, i want to install sram red etap axs, but my wheelset its superteam 50mm hub R13 ceramic rim brake, can i use either both of them to convert into xdr? Thx
I want to run a sram xdr cassette on a mountain bike with 135mm spacing and currently xd driver. I don't like or need the dinner plate low gearing of the mtb cassettes in 12 speed. Any solution apart from gaining the 1.85mm by machining the driver and rear of the cassette?
Hello, Does this apply to 12x142mm disc hubs? I want to put a sram ROAD 12 speed cassette on a regular XD driver. Is that possible, or it's gonna make the same problem like in video? Thanks
My Rival AXS groupset will arrive in the next couple of months and going to install on 12x142mm rear with CK ISO XD freehub, i'll give an update if possible or not.
@@elmerallasas5173 What's the result? I want to use a Sram 10-36 cassette with an XD driver & prefer not to pioneer this hack... P.S. Already made a spacer for my 142x12 setup to clear my frame...
Congratulations!😊 The best explanation I have heard, and showing the diference with instalation of XRD cassete on XD and XDR freehubs.
Great stuff. Just going through this and figuring it out. Thanks.
I took mine off and put the standard old 11 speed free hub. Some people tho you can't do that but I did it.
What is FreeHub SRAM XDR is compatible with Campagnolo 12 speed sprockets?
I have an XDR body and 10-33 cassette and getting some rub while in the 10t. Any suggestion on a possible reason?
critical, thanks

Me too so I'm asking as well...
Why don't 12sp fit on a normal freehub is what I wanted to know as all should be 1/32 smaller so in theory not need more space
can the shimano 11s cassette install on xd or xdr freehub?
No!

Theoretically it should be fine as the cassette body will\should jam against the notched section of the XD driver & remain in place...
Install the spacer

You will need the XDR freehub body!
@@FreeToCycle what brand? It fits to my superteam wheelset?
Which one the xdr compatible in the left? Or right?

You will need to fit a SRAM XDR freehub body to run the 12 speed road cassette with the 135mm rear spacing!
Erica, Did you ever get this accomplished ? I would love to know what worked for you.

This will also apply to a disc wheel the freehub body’s are the same as quick release, it’s just the end caps that are different!
@@FreeToCycle In that case you can fit a XDR endcap which is a bit longer then the XD one, and it should do the trick?

with this freehub total lenght of the hub will be 136.8 instead of 135
um no stick with shimano
Shimano doesn’t make a 12 speed road cassette!!
