- Sheesh someone forgot to drink their coffee this morning
This was certainly interesting to make lmao, as soon as this song was released I was possessed by some sort of Kire god and forced to make a cover as fast as possible. I don't think I've managed to make a cover this fast in years hahahah. Some parts are a bit dodgy for that exact reason, but I think I like it overall! I'd like to get more comfortable making covers quickly and uploading them quickly instead of over-worrying and fixing tiny little things for 3+ months hahah.
I decided to make a lil subtitled MV because goddamnit if I’m gonna cover a depressing ass song I might as well have some fun with it! I really apologise if the subtitle timings are a bit off, I wanted to give good old Kapwing a try so it was a bit of a last minute decision hahahah. If anyone knows of any good video editing software for Mac that isn't A) imovie or B) a billion pounds lmk and I'll be forever in your debt ♡
Drawing wolfcut Ruko was the best part of this cover honestly. Is it even a wolfcut?? Regardless I'll shamelessly face the whole Utau community and ask for wolfcut Ruko content

I’ve wanted to re-make my REALLY old Maretu covers (Scrumize, Packet Hero) for a while considering I’ve learnt much more about how to mix since then hahah, but sadly I think the files are lost :,) Regardless I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving Maretu, so there’ll be lots more covers in the future heheh 💓

Ruko’s official website just refers to Ruko using their name as pronouns work a little differently in Japanese, so it’s really up to you what pronouns you use! The Utau Wiki uses she/her for Ruko, but it isn’t an official source so that isn’t totally canon 🙆♀️
A lot of people use she/her or they/them, some use he/him - The only canon information we have is that Ruko is 90% male and 10% female, so it’s pretty much up to your own headcanons!

2:54 I love Ruko's voice but here's an unpopular opinion: Most UTAU voice banks sound crunchy or scratchy. This part kinda messed it up a bit and it sounds really.. weird.. Its as If that were trying to make it like the chogakusei cover of pink, when some of the parts sound aggressive and it fits the song. Maybe its because of the synth but overall, its exquisite.
