  • The Sky Solus is a lightweight, four-season, freestanding shelter specialized for the solo alpine hunter. Built to withstand brutal mountain weather but incredibly nimble for pitching in steep, ultra-tight terrain, the Sky Solus crosses the line between a tent and a bivy to give hunters the perfect shelter for pursuing big game deep into the backcountry.

When the tent is rolled up with the rainfly, can it be then set up in one piece the next time. So in other words if prepared before the tent then works as a tente with an integrated rainfly, which is faster to set-up and in rainy ocnditions protects your shelter from getting soaken wet during set-up. Did i understand correctly?

You are correct. The Solus can be set up as shown in the video where the tent body is set up first, then the fly is installed. Once the fly is installed, you also have the option of setting up the tent with the fly already attached as you mention. It is important if set up in this configuration that the tent is fully stretched out on the ground so the web truss does not bunch under the fly making the tent poles more difficult to install.

This does look like a pretty nice tent... are the vestibules really big enough for cooking in during nasty weather? They seem a bit tight for that.

You could definitely run a stove in a vestibule and cook dinner that way.

@@stoneglacier9636 The vestibules are bigger than they look then, eh?

@@RakeshMalikWhiteCrane Yes, they are larger than they look. Not huge but if you guy them out there's a fair bit of space in there.

I like this tent, will likely give it a try. However, I also like my kuiu 2p. It’s gotta be the easiest and quickest tent to set up bar none. However I like this smaller foot print but staying with a dome shape vs the kuiu 1p. So… guess I gotta drop some more money.
Do you have a weight spec on this with poles.

Never mind saw it on web 4lbs 6oz full pack. Hmm my 2P is 3lbs 7oz. Must be carbon poles that’s the weight difference.

Can this tent be set up inner and outer simultaneously?

You could probably rig it up so you could do both at the same time. The best answer to that question would be to call in to our shop and ask Customer Service.
