The only ones still with us are Bronson Pinchot and Mark-Linn Baker (Perfect Strangers), June Lockhart (Lassie), Bob Barker (The Price is Right), and Jon Lovitz (SNL)
4:25 - Keith Olbermann used both “Good night and good luck” and “peace” (with the hand gesture) for his closures to MSNBC’s Countdown and GQ’s The Resistance.

Ah, the language of television-poetry in motion. And they even topped it off with the late, great Charlie O kicking things off! Overall, all this could even very well pass off as a promo for MeTV, Cozi or one of that crowd-if you incorporated some of the Big 3's past promo tunes, of course.
That was the best intro! A medley of pop culture references...genius.
Love it
Good times, and I love Lucy was the best shows ever.
This was so wonderful.
I can't believe my three 80s kids are so old!!!
Fantastic!!

Until Aug 26, 2023 when Bob Barker died at age 99.
Hi, Do you have any other moments from the 1986 Emmys? I'm specifically looking for the Best Actor in a Comedy category.
Man Gary Coleman looked so thin! Probably wasn’t in the best health with all his kidney issues😢
I think this also the year which Whitney Houston received an award from EMMY.
There was a door mishap
All that smoke at the end.....
That's what I was thinking!

1:37 Jack Nicholson
1:43 - Who's that who missed their cue? And who's that at 2:11?
Oh, wait-never mind about that last one-that's JoAnne Worley. But 1:43 I can't figure out.
@@Ian16545 I don’t think anyone missed their cue. I believe it was planned because the next line was “Excuuuuuuse me!”

@@Ian16545 Bob Barker before he went Gray!
@@ILOVETHEWHAMMY No, that was later in this mix.
How can we watch the whole show

The dancers were LOUSY
Seriously, this was the WORST of some very bad Emmy openings. All that goofy dancing and appearances by "stars" - ugh - HORRIBLE!!!
One of them missed their mark around 1:40 and got the door opened too late...I couldn't tell who was behind it (it was a man).
And the smoke in the end didn’t help either. I wished I could’ve seen those celebrities in the clear.
Horrific
That was really bad.
