Same here. 4 and 6 have always been my favorite since I grew up with them. I meet so many younger people that never played the earlier FF games, it's nice to see someone my age giving props FF4. Such an epic game with equally epic music.
I just got transported to being a kid again playing this for the first time. My mom came home with it and showed us, and we were like “what the heck is this?”. Then we booted it up and was amazed when Prelude began. Still one of my most favorite games from my childhood.
I am the first person to admit that I don't necessarily like FF4 the most but: Red Wings is forever /the/ song to set the tone for a game as soon as you start. That dread atmosphere, that low, wailing guitar, the brass instruments. This is a ship of war, guided by a knight who no longer believes in his cause and it /feels/ that way with this backing track. Outstanding work, dude!
As soon as the drums started I was immediately reminded of the first time I played this game as a 5 year old, and how much I've always loved the music from FF4. How has it been 30 years? Very well done. Thank you.

FF IV (then II) was the game that got me into JRPG's. I've played it through dozens of times across platforms, but every single time I hear this theme I still get the same feeling of excitement that I did the firs time I heard it. Such an awesome cover, thank you so much for sharing this!

I've listened to lots of different versions of this track and almost all of them including official remakes lose the drum beat from the original. You got the beat, the tone and rhythm perfect. Great job.

Wow this brings back memories. This was the first finale Fantasy I beat as a kid. Played it on my game boy advance. I remember being on the moon level and getting an encounter in the cave that was basically a boss. It kicked my ass so hard, I was too scared to go back into that caves.
I forgot to go back and listen to this for the first time after beating the game this past January, wanted to wait until I played the game to listen to the remix and UA-cam auto-played to it when I was listening to your other remixes thankfully :D. This song is so memorable, it plays in the intro and I'm pretty sure also plays near the end of the game too which is very fitting.

Agreed. The entire FF4 Pixel Remaster soundtrack was great (even with the blatant ripoffs from Celtic Moon that they did for Mysidia and...Troia? It was another Overworld town); the Giant of Babil and Zeromus fight music was FANTASTIC.

Final Fantasy IV is probably my all-time favorite Final Fantasy game and probably one of my top ten favorite SNES games (back before I knew it wasn't actually the second game in the series). I'll never forget the first time I started a new game and heard that music come up as the Red Wings faded into view. I knew I was in for a great time! The Rayman soundtracks definitely deserves more remix love. A lot of songs from each of the games are great, but my personal favorite would have to be Mr. Dark's boss theme from the first game. ...Not that I've ever heard it in-game...

Behemoths are spooky for sure. Thankfully, once the behemoths in Bahamut's lair are defeated, they don't respawn.
