I like my curry with dhalpuri, growing up I always looked forward to my beautiful Guyanese mum make roti to serve with chicken curry. May she continue to Rest in Perfect Peace with my dad.
Hii. You guys are making cooking so easy. I am 19 years old. And I am learning to cook from your channel. Thank u so much for sharing your skills to help others.😊😊
My children love chicken curry🐓 i like it with a hot plate of rice my children love it with roti you guys done good job look yummy love your channel🙏 🌺💕
This looks awesome and similar to the way I make mines. Just that I’d add cubes, and a tip of black pepper and other dry seasoning. Love the recipes tho. Keep them coming ❤️
Hi everything you guys make is delicious and are great recipes. Would you mind in future videos show us a plate of everything plated before all yuh eat dinner for us? Everything is real nice 🇬🇾
@@RealNiceGuyana I’ve been using lalahs for a while now and I’ve seen many ppl using indi. I just bought a bag from the Indian store. I can’t wait to try it. I would say 1 teaspoon curry powder to half teaspoon of geera and half teaspoon of masala right? Or just do 1 of each?
Good, let me know if you like the Indi better , we tried Lalahs and went right back to Indi. Yes the ratio is usually 1 tbsp curry powder , 1/2 tbsp. geera and 1/2 tbsp. garam masala. You would increase in the same proportion if you are cooking more quantity.
Hi I don’t know if you can help me here I normally watch your videos I tried making curry today using your recipe but the curry had a weird taste I use indi geerah or Sonies I don’t know if any mentioned is causing the curry to taste that way
It sounds like too much masala, that would make it bitter. Try less and that should fix it . If you used the amount of masala specified in our recipe, then the different brand may have been the issue. It may be stronger than the one we used, so you can still use it but just use less.
I tried to follow and when I put the chicken in the pot after the curry paste I coated the chicken, but then all the curry ended up washing off. Not sure what I did wrong.
What is the purpose of washing the chicken ? Most, if not all, trained chefs frown on washing your chicken, the heat from cooking is more then enough to kill any pathogens and actually washing it promotes the spread of bacteria to other surfaces. Does it have religious significance ?
No it does not have a relgious significance. We were brought up that way. You are correct that in some places it is the norm to not wash chicken, but in others it is the norm.
You got your measurements off. It is tbsp rather than tsp. I've made your recipe many times and I use tablespoon not teaspoon from your older video in 2017. Thank you. I have noticed you added celery which is good it reduces the spice .
I am so tired of seeing guyenese people add potato to their curry before their rank water Cooks out it makes my stomach turn. Please cook out majority of the rank water almost to where it is dried out then add water and potato to boil.
@@RealNiceGuyana I don't know what part of Guyana you're from but my mother is from Berbice and they know how to cook extremely well you cook out your rank water add potato cooked potato for 2 minutes then add hot water and continue cooking until tender

Came out great. Best I've every made. Thanks for the tip on leaving lots of gravy at the end. It's so true about how much it reduces as it cools.

Awesome 👍
What brand garam masala, jeera, and curry powder do you use? Please and thank youuuu!!
We use Chief brand for the garam masala and Geera and the Indi brand for the curry powder.
Please make a video on hassa I love san diego and havnt eaten it in over 14 years or more :( 🇬🇾
Thanks we have a recipe video of Hassar curry already, here is the link

Come for a visit to Florida. Lots of Hassa fishing and Guyanese!
Amazing:)
Thank you!.
Your welcome 😊
How long does it take to cook?
Approx. 40 minutes.
Yummy
ROTI!
Lalahs or indi curry? Which one is better?
We like Indi better , that's the only one we use.

@@RealNiceGuyana you’re the best! Thanks bai
😄 you're welcome.
With Roti, with rice or just on it's own.
Correct!!
Hi. I have a question. Can the same ingredients used here the the 3 and a half pound chicken be used also for a 1 pound chicken? Thank u
No the amount will be too much. Half the amount of each should be good.
Ok. Thank you
Is this different from your other chicken curry recipe?
No, it's the same recipe just and updated video.
Real Nice Guyana Thank you! ❤️
thanks
You're welcome!
Mmmm
Oil roti with my curry!
Sounds great! 😋
Rice 🍚
Roti
When you put the chicken in, the temp went down so low!
What happens if you add the salt until the end
Not a thing , you can do that of you want to.
Rice
Hi I don’t know if you can help me here I normally watch your videos I tried making curry today using your recipe but the curry had a weird taste I use indi geerah or Sonies I don’t know if any mentioned is causing the curry to taste that way
Should not be, what taste is it ?
@@RealNiceGuyana it’s kinda of bitter ish
@@RealNiceGuyanaanything you assume I’m doing wrong?

Water is not supposed to be added right away.
True
It needed some tomato paste, as well sprinkle some grounded cumin very tasty
Sounds great!
This is called a green curry without any tomatoes or tomato puree., It's optional. 🤗👍
I use tomatoe paste in my curries.🤗👍
With rice
For me That's too much water, but that is how you like it.
Isn't podina mint?
Yes it has a minty flavor.
With roti is more of a treat than with rice but either is really good.
I hope that wasn't cooked in an aluminum pan, btw.

Not potato ea is allo 😂
No you wrong , is ALOO 🤣
You donut, you supposed to put water in the pot.
At the beginning
Hey donut HOLE !!, if you didn't mention the beginning at the end I would have thought it was the end.
I am so tired of seeing guyenese people add potato to their curry before their rank water Cooks out it makes my stomach turn. Please cook out majority of the rank water almost to where it is dried out then add water and potato to boil.
What you said makes no sense whatsoever, When you "cook out" the "rank water" , where does it go ?
@@RealNiceGuyana sorry you don't like my comments this is why you post it on UA-cam for people to see and make a comments that is my opinion
@@RealNiceGuyana I don't know what part of Guyana you're from but my mother is from Berbice and they know how to cook extremely well you cook out your rank water add potato cooked potato for 2 minutes then add hot water and continue cooking until tender
Agree makes no sense.🤔Their is no "rank" water since the chicken is thoroughly washed with water and vinegar.
It would be even better if you could spell Guyanese correctly.
is curry chicken
LOL
Y u don’t show ur face u n molly
Because we don't want to do that at this time. Maybe sometime.
Its curry chicken, not chicken curry.
Whatever, main thing is in the taste!!
Depends if you’re Guyanese or Trinidadian.
