This is a friend of a friend story, so grain of salt. But my friend’s friend was a devout Christian, but he grew up in a house where both of his parents were satanists either before he was born or until soon after. His mom converted to Christianity and stayed with his dad. He said growing up was very strange because his dad was able to do weird, mystical things and his mom wasn’t. He was aware for most of his life that there were two forces in his house and he became aware, just from feelings that one was much more powerful than the other and even though his dad’s was flashier, it wasn’t his. He could feel his dad’s leave when his mom entered the room, and it wouldn’t come back until she left. He also felt much more at peace with that one and it led to him very confidently saying he wanted to be on that side.

I would make two points - first, that if the belief system in question is a mix-and-match set of beliefs then its not Christianity. Paul wrote several letters to the various churches to clear up questions along these lines. The second is that the roots of things like mediums, tarot cards, etc. are in pagan practices, convening with demons. This is non-compatible with Christianity, since we acknowledge God’s lordship over every part of our lives.
On tarot cards, what I’ve been told is that not every time you do tarot cards you’re going to get a demon lol but it’s an invitation for it. Spirits can be good or bad, so how do you know what you’re getting is from a good spirit and not a demon. So it’s best to stay away or at least that’s what I’ve been told. Part of the trouble is that, as is so often the case, so much evil comes not from outright evil sources, but nominally good sources used in a corrupt manner. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with DnD or computer games. Greaves, is a hero. This man has chosen violence against a bias based on religion. He finds this issues that are cause because of religion and shows how it infringers on everyone else's rights.
Examples of this is creating and funding abortion clinics in places that have outlawed it based on religion, buying satanic cup cakes from places that refuses to make deserts for LGBTQ+ people based on religion, and the best one was building a statue of a satanic figure because that same place paid to build a Christian based symbol.

I was reading just yesterday that some prominent Christians see Tarot cards as part of Christian esotericism. Not entirely sure myself
I would make two points - first, that if the belief system in question is a mix-and-match set of beliefs then its not Christianity. Paul wrote several letters to the various churches to clear up questions along these lines.
The second is that the roots of things like mediums, tarot cards, etc. are in pagan practices, convening with demons. This is non-compatible with Christianity, since we acknowledge God’s lordship over every part of our lives.
On tarot cards, what I’ve been told is that not every time you do tarot cards you’re going to get a demon lol but it’s an invitation for it. Spirits can be good or bad, so how do you know what you’re getting is from a good spirit and not a demon. So it’s best to stay away or at least that’s what I’ve been told. I mean go online and look at some of the tarot card reader people, they don’t all look like a demon is inside of them lol

The astrologers were condemned in Isaiah for using astrology to tell of future events and for there own wicked desires, but they were not able to predict the flames of fire which God would bring upon them.

If a person chooses to formally renounce a baptism they may do so. Many people have experienced trauma from their previous religion and a formal renouncement can be cathartic and psychologically beneficial. No one is forced to undergo the ritual.
As for the shared mythology it does differ from denomination to denomination. I am a non-theistic Romantic satanist. We draw our inspiration of Satan from the works of Romantic authors from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. This is called the Romantic School of literature. It’s a legitimate literary tradition including authors like Blake and Shelly. But the one work that has the most significance for us is by Anatole France called The Revolt of the Angels

Part of the trouble is that, as is so often the case, so much evil comes not from outright evil sources, but nominally good sources used in a corrupt manner.
There's nothing intrinsically wrong with DnD or computer games. Half of them wouldn't exist without Tolkein, one of the all time great Catholic writers, and they, like him, can present great moral truths in an popular format.
But, overused, these things can become an escape from a reality that demands confrontation.
