Thanks for checking my video out! and do enjoy yours when you get it! For maybe now about a week of having it, I am loving it and it's meeting the expectations I personally had for it.

Presumably you still love the device? This is actually my 1st time owning a Windows Type Handheld so I wasn't too familiar with what to expect and the certain connections (hence the oculink screenshot. cause I also still never get the name right haha). But genuinely my 1st time owning a windows type handheld and for the size and simple practicality with the keyboard access is why I was insanely interested in the Win4. As there is the ROG Ally and dual boot set up for the Steamdeck but just the Size and practically is what really drew my attention to gpd and many older videos showcasing it helped convince me on the investment.
But all things considered very interested in hearing your input on the GPD Win how's it held up all these years unless you're referring to having/owning the Win4 6800U version?

Yes, I love the device. It is nothing compared to the newer models but I used it a lot for several years. I had it with me my four years at college. I would use it mostly on my down time for light gaming and streaming services. I used it to remote play to my PS4 and play some of my STEAM games. Many were always impressed to see it because they had never seen a full laptop that size. Recently I installed a custom OS to get the most performance out of it. I have the version with the locked bios so it's not easy to tweak as the first editions. I don't have a need for another device like this especially with everything available on the market now. I still take it with me on road trips since it fits in my cargo pockets.
I believe I have the version with the Atom x7-Z8750 and WIndows 10. Has held up for 7 years. Only had to replace the battery.

Sweet! I wondered how the g1 would work and for what I'd use it for, but its nice to know the device can use an external GPU via the Oculink for a little morale boost on gaming. Good to hear that you enjoy the device! I'm Absoluetly loving mine as well and hasn't had any issues since reciving it.

    Did you reinstall windows?

    • @glowie52

You may have to specify your question my friend.
Out of the box it comes already pre installed with windows 11.
if you're referring to upgrading the ssd. There is a video on UA-cam on how to go about with the process, and normally you can find a free OS Cloning program. Thus connecting the spare new ssd via USB slot, by purchasing a dedicated USB housing for ssds, and starting the process to clone everything from the device orginal ssd to the new ssd. once that clone process is done. All it takes is plug in play, remove old ssd and install the new cloned ssd, and the device will boot up as normally. As if it recognizes the ssd as the old one. no need to re-install windows or anything.
      hope this answers your question!
