Personally, after having used it for a few months, I wish the keyboard had backlit keys and an addition battery integrated to balance out the weight the tablet so that the kickstand could be connected to the keyboard like a clamshell laptop.
This is very impressive, the CPU/APU is inside a very slim unibody and it doesn't need additional cooling. An astounding achievement for AMD with the brilliant body design advantage of Minisforum.
I like the dig at the imperial system. The Minisforum V3 has been out for a while, and I wonder why the likes of Beelink (not to mention the bigger OEMs) have not followed suit--is it AMD's slow reaction in sponsoring product development or the product segment's lack of appeal to the consumers?
This device caught my eye a while ago. But, I'm a Linux weirdo and everything isn't working yet. I'll keep this on my watch list. Starting to travel more for work. And, where did you get that photo of Lisa Su? Asking for a friend.
It was really enjoyable to see Gatsu give Gambino a proper send off, again and again. It reminds me of how AMD's gaming CPUs have been doing the same to Intel's gaming CPUs in recent times.
Tempting. But the battery life is way too short as far as I'm concerned. Also I don't see any notion on MSP 2.0 support which is a must for anyone who wants to use is with an active pen. However I do agree this tablet is leaning into the right direction of what tablets could be like if you take the consumer as a serious user in mind.
I got this tablet/laptop/desktop replacement, and it is my only PC right now, I got lucky and for some reason my Ram is 32GB LPDDR5 at 7500Mhz/mts, I set the Bios to go all the way to 54W and I'm using UXTU to customize the profiles for optimized performance/temp, so when I 1st tried, at stock, the temps never even went to 70ºC they ranged between 66 and 68, and I'm in a hot 3rd world country in Africa, then I set the skin temperature to be able to go all the way to 85º and almost COOKED my display, even though the BIOS would momentarily turn wattage back down to 28W, it kicked back up to the 50's and the temps got above 80, hitting a max 86, thankfully I realized the display was about to get cooked and immidiately close the game and let it cool... So now I created a few optimized profiles, and I found the sweet spot is between 35 to 38W, although it spends most time at 28W and goes up to the 30's all the way to 38 for some cases, it then comes back down, and I set max Skin temp to 75, although it almost never gets past 73. I got 2 "extreme" profiles for 42 and 45W, but the temp limit still at 75, bu haven't really been using them, but figure they can be good fot temporary higher boosts in performance. I've actually been playing STALKER 2 on this thing, and can even stream it with OBS, it's amazing how much power they can pack into a Tablet form factor now. If this had the AMD 980M iGPU, it would be perfect!! If they can bring strix point, and in the future, RDNA 4 with FSR4 with AI upscaling to this form factor and even ultra slim laptops, it's GAME OVER for descrete GPU's on laptops, a 40 CU iGPU with AI upscaling will play any modern game at decent settings, heck, I'm literally playing STALKER 2 on Stuter Engine 5. Cheers!
You see, my problem with this product is that I want into their website and it says it has a only 7m² of trackpad, that's way too little, there's no space at all to properly move the cursor across the screen, it's just terrible... It Should be at least 20m²....

Personally I would just stick with the Steam Deck as far as gaming goes. I guess if you have windows only games that play well on touch screen. Okay, I have a use.
