Marwa The work of the dish on top of your roof is not to broadcast wifi but to receive signals from space. The router inside your house is the one broadcasting wifi and it can't cover all the way to the trees across the river. I advise getting an ICT technician to help you connect your existing wifi routers to broadcast the Starlink signal far away. Over 200Mbps downloads and 200 Mbps uploads is a huge deal in Kenya.

You're set up is ok. But the router is not meant to boost internet to long distances. You will have to bring someone who will configure all routers in the house to make them repeaters.
It's an easy task but faster with someone who understands what they are doing.
You can also use the booster on top of your house to transmit internet to your mums place. As far as 200 mteres.. Just use your Old receiver

Marwa .. you can purchase the tenda routers or tp link routers then extend the WiFi from the house with a configuration we call wisps.. this can be done wirelessley and can be done where the signal reaches... these routers will act as boosters.. otherwise you can buy a special adopter that would give you an ethernet port ..with the ethernet you can use it as an uplink for the switch that you have..in the box

@iammarwa you need to get a Starlink ethernet adapter in order to connect it to your existing network so you can have connection wherever you are on the compound.

You need to purchase a Starlink Mesh Wi-Fi router nodes to extend signal strength all over your house or consider getting third party Mesh system🤙🏾
The green jelly fruit is Horny Melon fruit. Please save some of the seeds and plant them in a pot and keep them meshed from pests then when they are large enough and hardened, you can transplant into the ground. I want to plant as many fruit trees as possible in my new backyard I’ve just owned.

Starlink is definitely a hit 👍🏿 ... From the sunrise and sunset we can deduct east to west compass direction. The dish is facing southerly direction which is ok. Kenya being at the equator starlink dish must face south. Install the compass app on your phone. NB: starlink upload is capped at maximum 20 mbps!

Starlink in most African countries isn't unlimited so far. So try to keep the other wifi on just in case because there's a monthly cap. If it reaches 1Tb before the month ends then you will hv to change to the other wifi. But if you don't consume more than 1Tb a month then it's ok
Why are these accounts against the effectiveness of Starlink? Could these be local ISP's feeling a little threatened by the Starlink mention Marwa is doing on his channel.
@@SamanthaO330 Starlink is a good option, especially for guys in unserved & underserved areas. But this guy has a point, I thought of going for the cheapest plan (1,300 KSH), but then I realized in the last 30 days I used 120GB yet that plan is limited to 50GB. I pay 1,000 ksh for the fiber option I'm currently using (No data limit though the number of devices is limited, but I get over it by creating a hostpot from my computer. I can only go for starlink if I want to install internet at my rural home or if I'm in a financial position that allows me to go for the higher plans.

There is no world where Satellite technology can be faster than Fiber. Speed (mbps) is not the only metric of measuring how good your internet is, other factors like jitter and latency are very important. A 200mbps of Starlink with latency of 10ms. But then if you are not a heavy user or running latency sensitive applications, you won't notice.
In summary, if you have access to fiber internet, you don't need Starlink.
Elon Mask is not that shady to create things that don't work well. Starlink is working 100% well...a friend of mine here in Kenya has it and he doesn't complain about the speeds or anything. You must be a local Internet Service Provider feeling a little threatened by Starlink.
@SamanthaO330 he's just explained the difference. Starlink is great if u don't have access to broadband or fiber, it isn't better, but still a great connection. Fiber here in the states goes up to 10000 mbps, my neighborhood offers up to 1000 mbps upload and download, and I guarantee you that's at a throttled speed.

Bro, what you need for your house Wifi is called a "Wifi mesh system". Also, you should mount the satellite antenna to something more sturdy. A strong gust of wind will blow your antenna and it will lose it's aim. You should maybe keep two sources of internet coming into your house.
Marwa Starlink is the same technology as Dstv, also when scanning avoid blocking the camera, you can face the camera just above your head. The idea is to locate the satellite positioning.
Normalise using google photo to identify things.

Starlink receives signals from satellites which are in space. Your rooftop is perfect for that but it needs to rotate without obstruction including the heater. Just like the receiver, the satelites in space are constantly moving as well

You need to purchase an Ethernet adapter for the Starlink Wi-Fi box. This will enable you to connect to your existing distribution network. The Starlink solution only replaces your existing link to the school. Your neighbors will still be able to get Internet at the forest.

STARLINK IN KENYA IS NOT 100% WORKING WELL, 6500 IT HAS DATA CAP OF 1TB per month which means its not unlimited In kenya, please don't get away with the already installed wi-fi.

Marwa - in order to scan sky accurately you have to stand pont phone to the sky don't turn the phone, but turn your whole body in a circle with phone pointed up. You're doing it incorrectly. look at youtube vido showing

Starlink is only good for downloading, not uploading. Upload to the internet is just 10 Mbps. Download is over 100 Mbps. There’s a difference between the speed between your devices and the router, an the there’s the sites between the router and the internet. It’s the internet upload speed that’s at 10 Mbps

Come on Rocio, use a spoon to scoop out the flesh from the melon, the kiwi, papaya, some mangoes etc. I never eat the skin of the kiwi… it’s too hairy . The tomato 🍅 can go in a salad or eat it just the way it is. The seed tells you the grapes are not GMO… the red bananas are more expensive than regular bananas.

Marwa I have not read all the comments concerning the solar water heater system, however I believe there’s a simple solution. all the pipes running from the water source to the solar heater and from the solar heater should be wrapped in installation. Also, if possible rAlso the pipes that are underground. This is common practice for water heaters. You can find the videos on UA-cam. Good luck.
