What a delightful new collection for you. The leaves on the plants are very interesting and the delicate flowers are charming. I look forward to seeing updates. Thanks for sharing.
They are all so BEAUTIFUL Bill :-) thanks so much for sharing them with us and sending tons of love and happy growing from Ireland for a wonderful Sunday XXXX
Bill
Those are amazing. I have to stop watching your video's.My house is over flowing with plants and now I need those.Guess I could farm out a child or two!!
Watching with my morning matcha! Very cool! I have an alsobia and I'm getting another one with pinkish/red spotting! I'm also getting a petracosmia! I'm keeping my eye out for gloxinella and prinulina! Thanks! 🌱
Love these plants. I sometimes love plants more for their leaves (variegation, color) then for the flowers themselves. :)
I've too had never been too interested in African violets AND just picked one up from my local Orchid Society event. Thanks for the vid, great tips!
Hi Bill! These plants look so pretty cute.
Thanks :)
Love the new babies!! You might want to research Petrocosmeas before potting yours up. I've never had one but I remember reading they're a bit finicky. You could make a leaf support; get a plastic plate or coffee can lid, cut a big hole out of the middle, and slide it up to the top of the pot. Something like that; you can google "leaf support" and find a ton of good ideas, I'm sure. I've heard of people who take the flowers off their Pets because they ruin the symmetry.
If you want to learn more about gesneriads, I recommend reading The Miracle Houseplants by Virginie and George Elbert. It was published in the eighties, but I see it listed on Amazon. It really gives a great overview of all the genera in the Gesneriad family and is written in plain readable language (except for the Latin names).
Thank you :) I will look into that... I have been looking for books on the topic but I am finding it difficult... many of the books are no longer in stock OR they are very pricey.
The amazon listing is for used copies, so I believe it is out of print, but I just looked it up, and there are several copies of the enlarged paperback edition available for 1 cent plus $3.99 shipping. The quality ranges from used-acceptable to used-very good. The hardback edition is also available, but costs $28.99. The original price of my paperback copy was $6.95.

I love the Gesneriad family and I'm just getting in to them. right now I can only find Saintpaulias (African Violets) and Gloxinias. I have four violets but I'm really scared of what might happen to a Gloxinia if it got in my hands. I kinda wanna try it but it's daunting with those big leaves and massive trumpet flowers.
I love that petrocosmea!! Where did you get it?
Hi, could you write here the species' names? African violets are very popular in Brazil, but I didn't know there were so many variations! Thanks for the video!
