This is great business advice. I'm not even in the detailing business, but fantastic advice telling people to make $1,000 BEFORE they start investing hundreds of dollars into their business. The fact is that most people who say they are going to start a business never do. Most people who say they are going to get into shape never do. It's easy to pay a gym membership fee, but it's hard to consistently workout. It's easy to purchase a generator, but it takes courage and hustle to acquire customers. No sense spending $1,000+ on a generator until you first prove to yourself that you are willing to do what it takes to be in business -- which is putting yourself out there in front of people.
I get it, not having one when you start out makes sense. But just think of how many more customers you can get when you market yourself as someone who brings along their own water and electric to the customer regardless of where they are at. It's all of your own equipment that you know how to use rather than depend on what the customer provides.
@@Emiliopedo exactly my point. Also when you have your own you know how to work with it. What if they have really low water pressure at their home. Or of the spiget or electrical outlet is on the other side of the house....or what if they have none lol. Better to bring your own
Great video, I nearly bought a generator when I first started but you learn to adapt processes that don't need electricity. wow thank you so much, I, getting started and thought I needed to have one to be successful. Seems like I can hold off on this. Does the same apply for a water tank for ionized water? Thanks!
Great videos bro. What are your thoughts on a power inverter hooked up to the car instead of a generator. I know they are cheaper and are powerful enough to run a small vacuum cleaner.

hi oscar , great insight once again . I have the Honda generator also . since you mentioned the predator from harbor freight, how are those generators ? are they any good ?
Thanks for the kind words! Honestly, I didn't get much use out of it as per how I mentioned it in the video. I was always at customers home location and I had power to connect to from their house. However, I would say the Predator is like the Honda except twice everything. Twice as loud, twice as heavy, and probaby not as powerful
Hi based on your experience what kind of generator would you recommend for a 2000 PSI Ryobi pressure washer I was looking into getting the predator but then I heard a lot of good reviews about the Honda 2000 but I'm not trying to break the bank so do you think that a predator 2000 would be enough to power my pressure washer

Do you charge for your services before or after? Also what’s the best method of getting paid and preventing chargebacks? Do you come across those often?
This happens often and even if the customer is home. It’s an annoyance to the customer when they was using their day to day power. And then pop goes the power. $500ish for a portable generator or conventional generator is worth it. Having back up power is never a negative. I prefer my own water and power source.

I guess you can see that as a plus. But oil changes takes 5 minutes every so often and filling up gas... well.. that takes about 2 minutes as well. No, no complaint with the Honda generator.
