Ahead of US Presidential elections 2024, Former US President Barack Obama rallied against Republican candidate Donald Trump while supporting Vice President Kamala Harris during a rally at a Pittsburgh college campus. Driving support from the Black voters, Obama said that with a choice between Harris and Donald Trump so clear to him - because, he said, she understands growing up struggling and having experiences like them, and wants to fight for them - he’s been thinking about what is holding them back in voting for her. The vice president wants to work on housing, make medicine more affordable and work on improving neighborhoods, he said, while “on the other side, you have someone who has consistently shown disregard, not just for the communities, but for you as a person.”

I’m literally so scared for Trump to get elected to lose my health insurance. I work about 30 hours a week for Coca-Cola and I don’t get health insurance. I’m currently in school. I have chronic health conditions and I rely on Medicaid and coverage under the Affordable Care Act. I won’t be able to work or pay my bills. And if I lose my insurance, and my healthcare will likely succumb to my condition in two years or less. The reality many of us Americans are facing right now.
