I chose a Rise H15 to compliment the Scalpel I’ve been riding. Living in the southeast an enduro bike is really not a good fit and having an XC along with a fairly light trail E-bike makes sense. Getting a new H15 for $5600 sealed the decision
Yeah. I wish we could have made that work. After riding it on the Oso and Wild it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite drive systems. Especially on the Wild. So clean.
You said the Giant Stance is made for the ones looking for a hybrid for weekend rides, very light trails, roads, dirt roads. I'm such a user and you get the Stance for a very good price at the moment :) Would you nevertheless buy the Rise instead of the Stance for that type of bike rides I'm doing? (Or even the Orbea Urrun?)
14:49 I disagree on 2 vs 4 piston brakes. All else being equal, 2 piston brakes like the Formula Cura / Cura X are better than 2 piston brakes. The Curas have larger than normal pistons though. I think more brake manufacturers should copy the Cura andake 2 piston calipers with larger pistons instead of more pistons. More simple, cheaper, less finnicky, lighter weight than 4 piston.
As long as you go into it knowing what you’re getting. It’s not what I’d call a serious MTB for the enthusiast. For a casual rider it’s great. The “e” parts of it are really well done.
In regards to the rise, looking for your opinion if I should save up and go with the H15 over the H30. Feeling my age late 40's and 215lbs, staying on the ground more often. Mainly riding Northern Utah and St George. Really wondering if it's worth the extra cash to move up to get the fox 36 at 150mm of travel or if the Z2 at 140mm is still a good option. Coming from a 2018 orbea Oiz Tr. Thanks and love the content.
Normally I’d say build doesn’t matter all that much and to just buy the one that best fits the budget. In your case being on the slightly larger side the 36mm chassis might be pretty beneficial. You could always get the the H30 and just upgrade the fork. Would probably be cheaper.
Can get the reign e+2 2022 now for £3600 they was £5500 new!! 2k off for a 1 year old bike. Shows how over priced bikes are. 3500 is what they should be worth brand new. Cant wait to pick mine up. That deep red is a lovely colour
The differences in ride quality between the carbon and alloy frames aren’t hugely noticeable. Plus if you’re comparing MY2022 and prior it will be less than 10lb. I’d also guess a large portion of that weight is coming from the bigger battery on the H series. I’d always recommend buying the one that best fits the budget. People get way too hung up on blingy components.
That dropper post height is boarder line for me on a large but works. what's worse thou is that axs only currently comes in a max 170 so for anybody taller looking to go wireless after market is pretty much out of luck.
What is the full power from Orbea? The Wild?- I want the lightest , full powered eMtb ? Everything is 50+ lbs ! - except Rise- choked toen to 60Nm. - can’t “adjust” it.
Rocky Mountain as a...value e-bike? Must be this, as most of, UA-cam bike reviews are for the shameful wealthy. How 'bout actual value e-bikes with Bafang and Panasonic motors? I purchased a Bafang M510 motor with a 800watt LG battery, outperforms motors by Shimano, Dyname, Bosch, Brose, and Yamaha. But to you guys, and viewers, any e-bike below $3 grand, is just not worth it.
Glad you like the E+3. I just bought it a few days ago and can't wait for it to be delivered.
Enjoy! It’s awesome.

Ive got a Scalpel and have been considering picking up a Rise as well. How are you liking the H15?
You guys make great videos. I see you haven't posted in a while but just wanted to say very clear, concise, and helpful.
Thanks Justin. We’ve been posting everything back on the main channel. Both pedal and e-bikes in one place.
@@BikersEdgeKaysville Oh! Ok will subscribe there. Thanks for letting me know.
This and other videos make me feel good about my purchase of the Reign E+3 at $5,400 CDN . Can’t wait to pick it up next week
Very nice review, very valuable "who is this bike for" section at the end, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Great video guys - what trail centres were you riding in the video?
Superb advice & agree with you both 💯.... I've just ordered a Reign e+1 & my daughter is going to be using my Orbea Rise! 😊
How you going on the bike ?
should have been great to see a bosch motor in that battle too!
Yeah. I wish we could have made that work. After riding it on the Oso and Wild it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite drive systems. Especially on the Wild. So clean.
I noticed that the word Orbea is misspelled in the description.
Chose a Stance e+ pro. Only cuz I live in Texas. Not any mountains, casual terrain for the budget. Still 100 times better then my old giant hardtail

Wow where was this shot? Great videos guys. Just subscribed

I got an okay price at my local dealer for the Giant Stance E+ 1 Pro.
Is this an okay e-bike then 😅🤔🤷🏼♂️

Where did you find that price
How do you feel about the Rise H30 vs the M20? I know there’s a 10 pound difference in weight and price but do you notice it?

Are you going to be getting the new Orbea Wild Fs? Really interested in that one!
Yup. Have one on the way. If you check out the main Bikers Edge channel I already did a first look there.

I just wish they'd use a 31.6 instead of the 30.9. It opens up a lot of options for droppers.
The Orbeas would would be so nice with FULL POWER. RS is a sad joke…. Not buying a choked down ebike
Well they make full power too. It’s nice to have options. They definitely ride more like a regular MTB for the folks who prefer that.

Sooooooo the Stance is pretty much the worse MTB ever made. 😂
It’s not the highest performing bike to ever exist. I can think of much worse though.
he is popular and hes not bad. 😊
Very nice channel!!! Do not waste another day = Promo_SM !
