I'm 22 and been eyeing Longines for quite a long time in search of my first automatic watch, that would accompany me in my work and private life, but also serve as a potential family heirloom, which could be passed down to my offspring in the future. I believe the silver arrow is the perfect piece for that, which is why I bought it mere hours after discovering it. Looking back, that spontaneous purchase was something unexpected, considering the long hunt and thorough research that went into every single model that caught my eye, but this one spoke to me immediately. Just beautiful. I'm honoured to be an owner of this piece and wish everyone else, who is in awe of it, to one day have the chance to acquire it.
Im sure your offspring would also appreciate it too
I love what Longines has been doing recently. Impossible not to find a couple of really captivating pieces in their catalog.
Longines is constantly making home runs. One day I'll own one...
I just got my first one. It's leagues better than the Seikos I was used to. Just screams luxury.
Longines is one of my favourite brands
This watch look so much better on a dressier strap. I got it on a dark brown alligator from Longines and it really makes it pop!
Yeah you guys. Show some support! What a watch! Been waiting to see this one for a while and it was worth the wait. As beautiful as I had hoped. Great photography Titan. Excellent job 👏🏻👏🏻
You're the best!
Gorgeous piece! Those indices combined with the plain dial are just perfect!
I think so too!
I don't wear a lot of dress watches nor are they my focus when collecting but this watch is a beauty. I guess it's my blind love for Longines! Haha!
Great review!
Cheers!
Really nice to see a beautiful dress watch! Great review!
This is a beautiful watch. Your reviews are informative and helpful especially since I have the same size wrist as you.
Longines definitely know how to make a Dress Watch...Gorgeous 😍
I just watched this video again, I will ultimately add this watch to my collection. Super macro shots and once again a great review. A pure modern classic re imagined. Slim, uncomplicated and elegant. A shame I can only click the like button once.
I wish I had the super thanks button but it's still not released for my channel soon though and thank you for watching again
Great job 👏 on the video. Awesome watch ⌚ 👌 👍! What a subtle beauty! Longines is pure class.
Love it, will check it out when local ADs can get it.
Nice video. I love their pulsometer physicians watch in the heritage range .
Beautiful!
The one downside for me on most Longines is the ridiculously long lug to lug. Like a 41mm Aqua Terra has narrowly the same lug to lug as this 38.5mm Silver Arrow. It makes it a large dress watch.
Just bought this watch while on holiday in Singapore. This review was one of the main reasons I made the decision to pull the pin.
Glad it was helpful!
Definitely a stunner !
Thanks for the review. Love this watch. However, It saddens me that it didnt come with a bracelet. Do you know if theres an OEM bracelet available for this? Thanks.
I love this watch. it was on my list to see a some months ago, there were five on the list out of which I could only get one of them. The top five were also all Longines including a Silver Arrow, a moonphase, heritage diver, Tuxedo and sector dials. The diver was out of stock so I had a choice of four. It was a very difficult choice to make as I wanted them all. I walked out with the Tuxedo. Recently at another AD I got a good price on the sector dial and since then the Silver Arrow has started itching to a point in the future I may want to scratch. It's a gorgeous piece and I can't help feeling that it just may be a matter of time before I have to have another look. Great review FT, this has just poured fuel onto the fire for what maybe my next watch. I do know that If I pull the trigger on this one that moonphase I looked at would start to itch so can you wait a while before you review that FT to let my finances recover a tad.
Rest assure I do not think we have the moonphase in stock so it may be a long while before I review it. haha
The Longines Heritage line is filled with hit after hit. I could fill a watch box just from that line. They are on a roll.
It looks like a dress watch and would be considered one in this day and age, but the OG watch was actually a sporting watch with a nice elastic bracelet. The Silver Arrow moniker was taken from the Mercedes F1 cars of the 50s, so that jet in the case back does not have anything to do with the name.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago and loving it. Love my AD, she gave it to me for US$1600 tax included. Can't wait to put some vintage racing straps on mine.
Grats! I'm still looking to go back to kavar and pick this up!
Omg its beautiful! Btw i just bought the spirit 42mm after watching your channel and its a remarkable watch.
Glad you are enjoying it great pick up
This is my next watch. Currently saving up. Maybe by Christmas
Gorgeous Dress Watch and stunning Dial. Superb value 👌
Couldn't agree more!
Beautiful dial
Wow what a beauty 😎
More watches should be in 36mm-38mm size
Hold up! Longines has not been a brand that's caught my eye in the past, but that is lush. Love it, want it. Great vid!
They definitely don't have hype around them but are the pure enthusiast choice.
This is such a lovely watch! I was set on getting a GS SBGW267 but seeing your review I hesitate now. I haven't had the Longines in my hands but I like the overall design, the details on the dial and case design better than the GS. I just whish the polishing for the hands and indices were on the level of the GS. Still, going to check it out before making my decision.
Sbgw267 is awesome I'm hoping to get one
I’m with you on this one, just beautiful.
Right on!
Got this, my precious 😍😍😍 pure class , unbelievable value
Enjoy it
Hideous mustard yellow haha! That is a deadset stunning watch. And yes totally agree. Longines dress watches are pure class. I think Longines may become my next Seiko addiction 🤣 Hey,,, almost 15k subs.
Lol I feel that. Yes and when I hit 100k Grand Seiko will finally lend me watches. 🤣
@@EscapementWatch 🤣🤣🤣👍 Who knows! Maybe even 50k.
Wow this is gorgeous...
I love Longines - simple as that.
F A N T A S T I C ! ! !
Very nice
That looks stunning...!
This or the Seiko alpinist reissue?
This
Yes sir 🤗⌚
Đồng hồ này chạy nhanh, chậm/ ngày bao nhiêu giây vậy bạn?
Will this scratch my itch for the SBGW231? Btw I have the same wrist size as you, ~6.5 inches
Great question. I think it will actually.
@@EscapementWatch Thanks for the reply! Did you already sell your GS because of those imperfections on the edge of the crystal? :) I'm really struggling to find a 36-38mm dressy watch with a white or cream/champagne dial, non vintage. Would love to hear some suggestions.
i feel seiko in this piece
Interesting
Could I know the watch you wear in this video?
Seiko SPB213
Please watch my other Longines Review the SPIRIT! ua-cam.com/video/rT0bwUKDm5A/v-deo.html
This one is in the running. I'm going back and forth vs the King Seiko. The KSK has a higher beat rate smoother sweep 28800 and 50m water resist and I love the story of the King's History in the Swiss trials. On the other hand the Longine is a no date big plus! and has a free sprung balance and Si. So an upgraded 2892 while the 6L is more of a standard high gradE 2892. The Longine has less WR but is 1200 dollars cheaper!!!! So I'm going back and forth. The value proposition is so good with the Longines. Or my 3rd and most wanted is wait for Kavar to become a Grand Seiko AD and get a GS which is always my dream since if you know me I'm kind of a seiko fan. -Falling
If this had at least 50m wr I be all in along with more watches from Longines 30m is to much of a baby sit
What are you doing with your watches where 50m WR is enough but 30m isn't? Pretty sure all water resistance ratings are made up, nonsensical bullshit anyway. Confident a 30m watch can withstand the rigors of 'being rained on' and 'hand washing,'
Mau omega?
The Antarctic Spider is the better looking watch in my opinion
i wish they made it smaller
I believe they did make a 35mm in a heritage model but it did not sell well so now they do 38.5
@@EscapementWatch You mean the one in the 50s?
@Eric Erickson Yeah. but making a 38mm watch with 48mm lug to lug distance is just insanity. I don't get it why.
I'll stick to my beloved BB58 and my daily Victorinox Alliance Automatic white ♥ but this... LOVE IT! Finally no childish HUGE arabic numeral numerals! 30m wr kills it but still want it 😇
30m and untapered strap (minor stuff) also no see through case... yet, a beautiful 😍 watch! Thank you
It's $3,050 in Australia, which I think is $1,000 too much. Pity because its a great watch. Still, if you compare it to a Datejust?.....
I'm sorry, but this is way too bland for me. But the video footage is on point, as usual. I always enjoy great watch related content, even if I don't covet the watch.
Fair enough!
I prefer the original, although not many of them around anymore.
The metal ring inside is so so badly done, to me i will give the watch 1500$ at the most am 100% sure that the cost of manufacturing this watch doesn’t acceedes 200-300$ at the most
