Engineered to be an all-in-one controller solution, the Akai Professional MPK261 is a performance pad and keyboard controller that combines deep software integration, enhanced workflow, and core technologies from the iconic line of MPC workstations. Each member of Akai Pro's MPK series comes fully loaded with a comprehensive interface for manipulating virtual instruments, effect plugins, DAWs, and more. MPK261 features 61 semi-weighted keys with aftertouch, 8 assignable knobs, faders, and switches, 16 MPC-style pads with RGB feedback, and onboard transport buttons. Three banks expand the number of knobs, faders, and switches (up to 24 each), and four pad banks expand the number of pads (up to 64 total). Plus, MPK261 is optimized to interface directly with your Mac or PC with USB power and plug-and-play connectivity.

Thats nice i got one but i dont know how this is going to work
Wow so much information in just few minutes this is cool!
Hello. Can you help me please with a decision? I don't know which one is
better to buy between Nektar Panorama T4 or AKAI Professional MPK249. I
am looking for a keyboard that isn't made out of cheap plastic in the
first place and I want to feel something under the keys when I press
them. Which one is friendlier with FL studio and It doesn't require a
lot of settings to be made? Thank you!
Does the pitch bend and modulation have light?
8 years old wow its getting old.
good morning friend, I just got mk2 49, but I don't know how to configure the sustain pedal, it gives the sustain but I have to press the pedal twice to sustain the notes and not just once as is normal, if you can help me I will be grateful
Do they have full size pads like an mpc or mpd32 because I know someone whome bought 249 mpk and the pads are smaller than mpc
Wait wait wait MPC Essentials can integrate with Ableton, how?
no Australian postage? :(
I just need some wer i can jam im going to wait to my bday though
How would you compare the mpk261 vs the akai advance 61?
Kyle Richardson shit on advance
Going to buy mine thought I was going to be ready for Miami dream house and Universal Music group this may I'm just going to send what ever I can create on my own
Has any owner of the MPK261 reading this gotten the KEY aftertouch to work? I suspect Akai is lying about these controllers featuring aftertouch on the keys, as I've spoken with others who confirmed it has never functioned on their MPK261s either.
Thanks!
I have the same problem.
aftertouch works but you need to press it quite hard after initial attack
Buy an Arturia KeyLab 61 MKII instead. Built like a tank and has many more features for the same $.
Artoria kelab doesnt have an arpegiator and the pads dont have the capabilities of the MPK261 such as note repeat. What it does have is a vast sound library so it depends what your after.
I want the keys from KeyLab and the encoder knobs, buttons and pads from Akai
i WOULD LIKE TO BRING ALL MY MAYME & MARGO DREAM SQUAD ADMINISTRATIVE INC TO RELEASE PARTYS AT MY HOME IN BELAIR I DREAM OF HAVE LIKE 3 TOUR BUSSES FOR ME AND SOME SPECIAL FEW IM A INDE ARTIST NOW
Do they have full size pads like an mpc or mpd32 because I know someone whome bought 249 mpk and the pads are smaller than mpc
No none of the keyboard with pads do. If you want the full you will need the MPC.
