This is when Rangers fans attended matches at Ibrox disguised as seats. Well, everyone i speak to from that time says they were there, so its the only logical conclusion
Never missed a game that season.. blindly loyal at 15. I remember it being a mental winter and standing waiting on the special from Queen street numerous times then hearing the game was off.
Rangers were awful back in the early to mid 80's. I remember Ally McCoist's terrible effort with that header away to Inter and i remember hearing the sectarian abuse the fans hurled from the stands at Liam Brady in the return leg at Ibrox which shocked me even though i was a teenage bigot at the time. I listened to the match on Radio Clyde, broadcasting rules at the time allowed only the last five minutes of the first half and the whole of the second half which meant a normal radio show was on and the DJ would provide updates on the game until the live coverage started. I got a lift over the turnstile in the Copland Road against Celtic in the new year's game and remember celebrating when big Peter McCloy saved that penalty from Mo Johnston...Peter Peter Peter McCloy...Peter Peter McCloy... unfortunately we lost 2-1. I also skipped into the Scottish Cup game against Dundee when John Brown put us out the cup and Ally McCoist missed a barrow load of chances culminating in the whole Copland Road stand singing Ally Ally get tae f*ck!...Ally get tae f*ck! I also skipped into the league cup final against Dundee United when we won 1-0 thanks to a brilliant finish by Iain Ferguson. It was pouring with rain all day long and i was in the west terracing, either section H or J and it was fantastic to see Rangers pick up the trophy. WE ARE THE PEOPLE 🏴 🇬🇧
Thanks as always mate WATP

Defence looked an absolute shambles
