I’m so done with Aeroplan - my status has been downgraded a couple of times - I now just buy business tickets when they are on sale - and not just on AC.
Short and sweet and too the point, anyone but a regular traveller doesn’t benefit from the premium cards pretty much. Open them all for the bonus and close all but the free one to avoid crazy fees. Then let player two do the same. Then by that time aeroplan changes the program to make it not worth it for a few years. Then jump to Amex rewards and get them all and cancel the premium annual fee cards, transfer all the points to aeroplan then player two does the same. lol it’s a game that every credit card travelling collector does then jumps to the next reward program. I’m guilty of it too but this day and and age everything is over priced so you have to catch a break somewhere even it if takes time and work. But over time it does destroy the points programs.
