Ron is/was possibly the most original comedian since Pryor and Williams. Don't get me wrong, Chappelle is really good, and there are a few others doing the circuit. But Ron stands out with perfect delivery, timing and originality. Hearing him perform is like talking to a neighbor over a backyard fence. Someone edited out the joke.
I knew Ron White from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour where his biggest hit was "I Got Thrown Out of a Bar" and that was a great bit. Then years later when I had joined the Marine Corps I had to drive from SC to CA where I was being stationed so my wife and I were pulling through Oklahoma and stopped in an A&W (I'd never been to one before) and inside there was a rack of CDs. I checked them out and found Ron White's first or one of the first comedy CDs. I gotta say nothing that I've heard in his mainstream comedy has ever beat that entire setlist. It is sooooo good. First off, "I got thrown out of a bar" is a story about tater salad (you'll find out what that is when you watch it) but on this older comedy cd was the same story about tater salad except the entire story was different and it was way edgier. I'd recommend both. The other bit I'd recommend is Ron's time in the Navy about visiting a hotel circle and picking up hookers. He even talked about it on the Joe Rogan Experience but that story is much different than anything he did when he made it big. I gotta go find these bits bc I lost all my CDs in CA to theft. My car had been towed to a dealership for work and someone broke into the dealership and my car was one of 5 that got robbed and vandalized. SMH...hope someone is enjoying that 1000 CD collection somewhere. lol
Personally, l like his don't give a shit attitude and while wealthy now he grew up in a little town in East Texas. He's down to earth and like alot of us growing up in the woods and small towns we like our booze and cigarettes. And we used to stand around bullshit just like him, he's just a hell of a lot better at it. You ever get a bottle of Everclear, one of my favorites 80% alcohol. Only thing better is moonshine, it's usually between 93-98% alcohol, burns all the way down and when it hits bottom there's a explosion of heat radiating from your stomach to your arms and legs. Like you got a sunburn from the inside, Whoo....
The way he acts like 140 ish shows a year at an hour a show is something to brag about is just cringe.... maybe he should really work a normal job for a living. Alot of people bust their ass for 10 to 12 or more hours a day, he has no clue how hard people do physical labor for a living for peanuts. That shit irritates the fuck out of me because I was a steel worker for over 30 years and had 15 operations on my body because of that....im just saying. These performers have no clue!!!!!!
Drunk story..I was with 2 friends they were sitting on my couch I was sitting on the floor just chilling and talking. I went to get up and halfway thru fell back down on my foot and broke it. Tried walking it off and they left later on. I woke up with a bag of popcorn and chips all over my bed and forgot what happened, when I tried to get up I immediately fell and I'm like wtf happened to my foot?
There's a separate extended version of this where he goes into detail about his "bit", and it is pretty low brow. Oh, and before you ask, Dr Phil has confirmed in interviews that every second of this story was true.
So many times I've woken up sore or with cuts and other people had to tell me what happened lol twice i woke up able to touch my bone on my eyebrow lol wasn't a fight just tripped so now have X shaped scar lol
I got to see Ron White one time, and I have never laughed that hard in my entire life. His sarcastic sense of humor he sprinkles into his routine to me is what makes him stand out. Also… FUUUUUCK YEAH
Ron white is one of my favorite comics. He's alot like Dave Chappelle. He tells a story that's full of random little jokes and then he kicks your face in at the end with a killer punchline that makes you reel. Love this dude.

He's from Texas, just a good ole boy. Having a southern accent doesn't make you stupid. 😂 The ACC has some great colleges. Love and peace, from NC
For my drink of choice it's tequila or bourbon. I think you should check out Ralphie May-Stoned like a gravel road.

Ron is a good story teller, probably one of the best since Jerry Clower. There's comedians that tell really good stories but it's not their main act.
I guess I like Ron White because he has a "Texan" sense of humor and I'm a Texan. Lol
So many times I've woken up sore or with cuts and other people had to tell me what happened lol twice i woke up able to touch my bone on my eyebrow lol wasn't a fight just tripped so now have X shaped scar lol
