Your video calmed my nerves about my tensioner and serpentine belt. I just purchased my used 2010 Tundra and I'm so excited to own a Tundra! Day 2 of owning it, after driving roughly 60 miles to bring it home on the first day, my tensioner started squeaking. I was so upset that I just got this truck, which has been taken care of better than I've seen any used truck, and this happened. But now, I'm confident I can replace this myself. Thanks again for a wonderful video!
Just take your time. It’s doable . Keep me update
Man that's the exact same thing that happened to me. Instead I bought a 2014 /1794 and 30 days of driving it the squealing sounds started.
Realized it was this problem and I felt a relief
Thank you for going through the work to make this video! Now I feel plenty confident to do my own!
Yes sir, let me know. You can do it
This is a fantastic video and helped out immensely. I changed the belt, tensioner pulley, and idler pulley in about an hour. Thanks a lot.
That’s great.
Thank you for your support 🙏
Great instructional video, I just did my tensioner, took maybe an hour and fixed the belt squeal
That’s awesome
You sir are the man-canic, great job! Video in real time, great narrative (only what matters), your camara work is awesome. Exactly what do it yourselfers like me need. Thank you!
Thank you , I hope it helps you
1.5 hours and I was done. Thanks for the help!
That’s awesome. Great work
17 FT-LB for the housing bolts
32FT-LB for the tension pulley
Thank you for that info
Is a torque wrench required?
@@albertgarcia2885 yes, to be safe
Do you recommend putting any anti-seize on the bolts?
It’s up to you . For me, I won’t.
I put anti seize if I have to remove and install it often and where it gets really hot during operation . This area doesn’t get that hot . But it wouldn’t hurt to put anti seize
Great video. Any reason why you didn't change the idler pulley?
Asking because majority of drive belt kit comes with belt, tensioner pulley assembly and idler pulley.
Customers parts , I just installed what my customer gave me .
@@autopurlieu gotcha.
Btw, for your future reference, torque spec for the idler pulley bolt is also 32 lb/ft similar to the pulley bolt on the tensioner assembly.

If anyone needs a tensioner for sale, I have a used one. I replaced it preemptively just because I had the whole front end taken apart

Cost of parts?
Sorry, customer provided the parts. I didn’t asked about the price
I have to do this on mine. Only thing is i can't figure out which pulley is making the noise. There is like 10 of them.😂
Replace them all 😂
WD-40?
If you like to fix it temporarily, WD-40 might work
Good video ----- if you want to learn how to use Google!!! Mostly a waste of time --- turned what should be a 5 minute video into 50 minutes!
Not everyone is mechanically inclined. Some need to see how I struggle doing the job.
Thank you for your support 🙏
This could be edited down to 20 mins
It could , but I’m not a good editor.
Thankx for that input

Speak up. Just mumbling
Thank you for your input
He is talking ok not mumbling. Turn up your volume. Why come in and make such a trashy comment.
I had no issue understanding him.
