I have three cameras with a single rs-232 connection and a controller. In the video, you used an in/out dongle. Can you tell me where to get this? I've search with no luck.
the cable you used to connect from the joystick to the 1st camera is different to the cable used to extend to the 2nd camera. What is the name of the cable from the 1st camera to the 2nd camera?
Hi! I am planing to get a joystick with rs485 connector only, and my ptz camera has rs485 connector too... Can i connect those two by using 2wire rs485? Thank you!
Hi Jan, yes, you can conect using a 2-wire. Please see this video regarding Serial Connections. Around 4:00 minutes if where Steve talks about RS485. ua-cam.com/video/PDuCidaDwUsc/v-deo.htmlonnect Thanks for watching!
Hello, the presets are saved in the memory until the controller is either reset or you create new presets over them. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought what I thought was a joystick and camera similar to what you show. The joystick i received only has RS485 block, no 232. The camera I have only has RS232 (mini 8) connector. I tried a RS485 to RS232 converter, but no luck. Both the camera and joystick claim they support VISCA, Pelco B & D. Any ideas on how to convert or should i return the joystick?
Hello, While similar in function, RS232 and RS 485 are not compatible with each other, so unfortunately it does not seem the product you purchased will fit your needs for control. Feel free contact one of our knowledgeable sales Reps so they can help guide you to a product that will fit your application like the controllers below! Both will do RS232. bzbgear.com/product/bg-cj-rs-universal-ptz-controller-with-joystick-rs-232-422-485/ bzbgear.com/product/bg-cj-iprsg2-universal-advanced-ip-rs232-422-controller-with-joystick/ Thanks for the comment and watching BZB TV!

How do you change the speed for each set or pattern?
With joystick controllers, you can usually set the speed manually on the unit itself.
