Fun fact Tank. I talked to Niklas and he said they went to Plantagen, or if it was Blomsterlandet(both are plant stores here in sweden that are as common as IKEA), filled their car/van and just placed the pots everywhere lol
They could have bought some trees as well and invested in a rain machine. And of course snakes and bugs.

SO MUCH NEW MUSIC.... GNANGJAHDOG.... Orbit Culture, Jinjer, Sabaton and finally new Belakor. WHAT IS HAPPENING... I cant keep up. I have even abandonded my silly Game show references to try and convince Tank to listen to Hiraes.
Not to mention we got a slaughter to prevail album and Lorna shore EP ON THE SAME DAY
Covid happened, man. All these bands now had a full year+ to just focus on music. Touring takes up so much time and energy that it's hard to write records while under the pressure of playing live and constantly practice older songs while writing/practicing new ones. Staying indoors and just focusing on the music accomplishes a lot.
Lorna shore, between the buried and me, deafheaven, wolves in the throne room, gojira, orbit culture, rivers of nihil, Shadow of intent, Archspire, obscura, mol, night crowned.
All of this in one year and this is *only metal*

After listening to a shitload of complex and musically mastercrafted and jaw-dropping songs from Orbit Culture, its fun to see the guys dig deeper into human brain, and write a song that just flows in our blood. The whole rythym, the concept, the music feels like a tribal chant, it fills all your senses, runs through your veins, and you just wanna go batshit crazy every time you hear it.
I love it.
And also good to see you succesfully managing and evolving this channel, congrats, dude!
This song has such a good rythm that i use it while running and i go faster than i normally run.

Excuse my spamming, but 2021 will be fucking lit. Cant wait for the EP and the release party at our local pub. But Be'Lakor is also releasing their new album this year, October 29! You should totally check out their album Vessels, or some of the older albums. If you want a few songs to listen to hit me up. OC and Be'Lakor are in a constant battle for me for the nr. 1 spot on my list, but honestly I think OC has the upper hand lol.

8:55 Agreed. The guitars start with the palm mute. This forces the drums to come in on its own back beat. It's actually really cool. The clap hits while your hands are open (kinda theory). Freaking awesome

It seems so easy right? If you ask anybody into metal what do you want to hear in a metal song? These guys have found the answer. No words, so simple yet so complete, they check out all the boxes. In these 2 tracks, they kept the heavy but added so many nuances, can't wait for the EP.

Congratulations on this development for your channel; this is huge! As for the song, I really like how we ended up saying "that's cool" or "that's sick" right at the same moments. Those little mix ups hint at their ability to write complex as well as simple music, I think. Those moments show that these guys absolutely know what they're doing (in case there was any doubt...not likely, lol). Pretty good comparison, actually. Only For The Weak is pretty simple in terms of In Flames' musical writing, but holy hell is it a banger of a live song.

The way I'd describe it (appropriately enough, given the subject) is ritualistic. There's something about that stomping rhythm that just evokes an ancient ritual while tripping on shrooms to me and it's fucking awesome. Love this damn band.
