How to improve wood-burning fireplace efficiency

- Fireplaces are a great way to relax on a winter evening, but they aren’t the most efficient way to heat your home. Our expert, Glen Mandold from Sonshine Chimney & Air Duct, explains how a wood-burning insert can heat your home without sending that nice, warm air out through a chimney.
Another way to make your wood-burning fireplace more efficient is to install a stainless steel radiant fire back. This sits in the back of the firebox to help radiate heat out into the room instead of up the chimney. Always remember to close the damper while the fireplace is not in use to keep the heated air in your home. If your damper is damaged or the seal isn’t tight, consider getting a lock-top damper, which is installed at the top of the chimney and can be raised or closed by a chain inside the fireplace.

Prices this guy stated are highly inflated. These products are available for a much less.
Glens on crack spouting those prices.
why not just use a baking sheet?
It must be heavy stainless or it will burn out quickly.
They bumped their fucking heads with those prices
These prices are ridiculous. No one is going to buy this crap at these prices.
He's nuts. His $3,000 price is over 3x the normal amount. You can get the insert alone for $300-$500 depending upon what you want? Then everything else on top. Should still be below $1,000 for everything. Don't get from him, or the company he works for.
Nrfa where can I get a insert for this price?
Yes, his quote was through the chimney! But should be a very high quality unit with all the goodies and installed
that man is a lunatic
$400 BUCKS FOR 2 PIECES OF TIN AND SOME COAT HANGER WIRE = RIP OFF /__~
