- President William Ruto of Kenya made a dramatic U-turn on the controversial finance bill that sparked protests in the East African country, by agreeing to withdraw it.
But days after President Ruto bowed to public pressure and agreed to withdraw the bill, protesters across the country embarked on anti-government demonstrations.
Police clashed with demonstrators in Nairobi, the capital, spraying tear gas and using rubber bullets.
Protests also took place in key cities like Kisumu, Migori, Kisii, Nakuru and other locations, with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights claiming that it has credible reports of the use of live bullets on protesters.

With the extreme anger, the Ruto and his advisers are not feeling the heat or the magnitude by continuing issuing more hurting statements of doom. "Ruto must go!" lies at the level of phenomenology: change of leadership.
There is no guarantee that whoever replaces Ruto will actually act in the interests of the people.
Clearly, the people need to bear the powers of RECALL, at short notice and triggered and decided by the people themselves.
In this way, the people will achieve the sovereignty of their nation in a principled and efficient manner.
The people need powers to:
1. Elect and be able to recall all holders of key public offices, at regular intervals and at reasonably short notice.
2. The people should have powers of independent legislation to make, modify and to revoke laws at national and local levels.'
3. These powers may be exercised at regular intervals as required or be triggered by referendums of the people.
Until then, there will always be a difference between PUBLIC SERVANTS and the SOVEREIGN PEOPLE they are SUPPOSED TO SERVE.
Point #2 should have been:
