How to get rid of smell from Louis Vuitton handbag with Ozone Generator

- I purchased an ozone generator to get the wax crayon stink out of my vintage Louis Vuitton...so did it work?
SAFETY INFO - do no use an ozone generator near rubber or elastics. More is NOT better, you want to use as little as possible! Also don't breathe the stuff in.
1) I put the ozone generator in an enclosed space with my bag (open the flap to let the ozone into the bag) for 25 minutes - leave the room immediately and seal off the area.
2) Don't enter the room until 1 hour has past. Turn on the fan in your bathroom or open the windows.
3) Leave the room again with fan or windows open for another hour.
4) When you go back, you will still smell the Ozone, but it should be safe to enter the room at least an hour after that. When a bag is first cleaned with Ozone, you won't smell anything because the ozone covers it up. After a couple days you will see the "real" results. It should be much better than you started.
5) Use the bare minimum to get the odor out, don't over do the ozone.
6) After ozone treatment, I placed a charcoal packet into my bag to absorb any additional smells.
48 HOUR UPDATE - so after a couple days the ozone smell has dissipated and I can smell wax crayon if I put my nose close to the bag. The smell comes from the glue. I feel the bag definitely smells better but you may want to do a couple treatments. Also, Ozone is technically corrosive so you should be careful not to over do it.
Just curious if 2 years later the smell is still gone?
Good question, so I found out that the root of the smell is in the actual glue that LV used on this bag, hence the "wax crayon" smell. It's still there, just not as strong as it was before.
