They know, they are joking about the date thing. Don't you know what a joke is? It's like how any time Barry and Iris smiling at each-other gets people excited. I mean, comic canon supergirl would never be interested in most likely any of these guys especially that Mon-El guy or whoever he is. Plus, why is this show so obsessed with getting Lena and Kara a love interest?? Probably all of these guys were fine with James and Kara until the writers ruined it completely by ending them in 1 ep. Like, nearly all of Kara's male friends had a crush on her at some point excluding Brainy.
