Rufus development from 4 to Reverie is what i love the most tbh. i played wayback before this game was localized with 3rd party subs. i legit shed a tear during Rufus final moment (or so he thought), he always feel empty and hollow despite everything he did and to put a persona every time he engage with people, when he realize his mistake and Jusis snap the sense back at him, the crime of his action and the Failure of his Idolized Excellency image who's now gone. his past, his path to redemption, and this final plan of his during Reverie is so beautifuly written and so melancholic at the same time. this guy went from one of the character i hate the most, to i love the most
I think my favorite part about this game was everything team C related. I ended up caring about them the most and it goes to show how strong the bonds of a smaller group can be. C's character development is incredibly well done and it reminds me of how much I started liking Altina more when she was given attention in CS3. They did the same thing here with C and it paid off considerably.
Yep, definitely it worked very well, it just went with the same route as it was with Sky/Azure/Cold Steel (althrough Class VII was a bit bigger), they all started as a small groups and that what made me to feel and live through their stories. Gosh im going to miss them deeply.
agreed - i would always save C route for last throughout the game because i wanted to savor my playtime with them. especially after the reveal! it's as you said - the smaller groups from reverie & crossbell really help add layers to flesh out the bonds that are built throughout the journey. just imagine how amazing the C-squad would be w/ their own 2 or 3 part series?
So Ishmelga Rean is the closest we will ever get to a Rean that has master both the Eight Leaves One Blade school and the Hundred-Form Military Combat style.
Both of the Ishmelga Rean battles are the highlight of Reverie for me, followed by the battle between C's party and Rean's party at the park and cemetery
I think this is my second favorite entry in the series. It's so hard to actually choose a favorite I love them all honestly but from a gameplay and story perspective I prefer this game and Trails of Cold Steel III. Cold Steel IV being my third favorite.
Rean is juat like his father. Taking on ishmelga, knowing he was shouldering the burden alone. Basically, in the normal ending, Rean would have survived. But he would end up like this as a result. My question is, how would they fight him. To bring him back or to kill him.
It seems like Rean and Ishmelga were in an infinite stalemate before he came to the current timeline. I'm thinking no one would have to fight him since he is forever fighting himself in space.
I wonder if Kai no Kiseki is about that. I'm not sure what the time skip is, but *SPOILERS* Altina is grown up, Rean looks a little older, and Rufus does too.
I like how ending basically forgot Lloyd was there and then the devs realized they need to tack on an extra boss fight so Lloyd wasn't in the backseat the whole time.
@@mattmaddogwheaton4724In terms of stories that interconnect and lead to huge connective payoffs, while the quality difference is vastly in favor of Trails, MCU is one of the best comparisons practically.

2:22:52 LOOK WHAT YOU DID LLYOD YOU SHOULD'VE LISTENED
Rufus tried to be Lelouch but he has good friends and brother that didn't let him be
Unlike Lelouch himself.

I agree with altina part. I really couldn't care less about her but after cs3 she's one of my favorite characters

Just finished the game… god trails games are tooo good. So sad it’s not well known. I have no friends that play this game 😢
Same dude, its so fkin same. They will never play it and all i want them to do is to play and discover through the whole series.
Ngl, him stepping out of the tp circle gave me a fuckinh heart attack.
The voice acting is great on dark rean

I'm still not over the fact that Lloyd basically stopped him from warning us about the future.
Lloyd wanted no spoilers 🤣
@@CGInfernoi hope this doesn't blow up in our faces
Lloyd doesn’t need spoilers. He already comes up with way too many of them
Thematically it was fitting for him to act like that. No kuro spoilers!
I wonder if Kai no Kiseki is about that. I'm not sure what the time skip is, but *SPOILERS*

Yeah, and Cold Steel 3 is Infinity War.
Can we not compare an awesome game series like the Trails games to MCU shit please?
