    I think they're pretty cool too. I used to have a Mennonite boyfriend, he lost his culture after his mom walked out on him and his dad, and then his dad started drinking alcohol, and my-ex boyfriend used to make fun of the Hutterites. Mixed up family.

    Ridiculous musid- no showing of the homemade pants, shirts or female attire. I think they should allow plain skirts or shirts with apron like fronts and plain blouses and aprons. I think prints of small flowers should be allowed and modest plaids and stripes. Hair coverings of triangle scaves or caps should be allowed too and warm stockings for winter. Do they allow knitted sweaters and shawls or capes? Just wondered if knitting was allowed or crocheting?

    It night be the fact that their eyes are too close together, or that their lips appear beak-like, or the general pan-face structure that seems common, but I do believe that marriage within the family will eventually kill these folks, or make them succumb to mental illness. Genes need diversity, it's why we are attracted to people who seem exotic.

    Rules of man being worshipped above the rules of God. It is worldly. It is idolatry. These people are totally Biblically ignorant. They've reduced the Gospel to pleats, black pants, blue jeans, etc. How sad. It's heart breaking.

    • @tammy6299

      The Hutterites colonies try to implement a way to live at one with the Church and Christ and so dress is very important and extends to everyone- it is a way to mute individuality and stress community. This is one of the aspects of Hutterite life and has been since the 16th century. If anyone is ignorant here it's you.

    • @fabermcmullen1
      @fabermcmullen1 9 років тому

      Tamara Proskura I appreciate what you're saying, and it sounds very noble and Biblical, but it in fact may not be so. I did not say they were "ignorant". I said they are "biblically ignorant". Could it be that God is more interested in the clothing that we wear on our hearts? "for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7-8 When I see these Anabaptist groups shunning people because of failure or unwillingness to follow man-made-rules, something has gone desperately wrong. I realize my knowledge is only based on what I have seen here on UA-cam. That is hopelessly limited. From the videos I've seen here, many in these groups find a new and refreshing experience of God's grace and mercy in Jesus. They are shunned and excluded because they have become different from the group based on man made laws. That places those man-made laws above God's law. That is worldly. (not materialistic, but worldly)

      faberm faberm LOL. It's so ridiculous to me that you religious folks get your panties in SUCH a bunch that someone's superstition is different than YOUR superstition. Very entertaining comment - Thanks for the belly laugh!

    • @fabermcmullen1
      @fabermcmullen1 9 років тому

      TheAdeleLonestar Gee Adele, why in the world would you spend 2 seconds on reading or watching any of this if you think believers in Jesus are just "superstitious" people. Could it be he's calling your heart to himself as well?

    • @TheAdeleLonestar
      @TheAdeleLonestar 9 років тому +1

      No, I don't think so. *I* called for him desperately when my mom died a horrible death from stomach cancer before she reached 60, and 35+ years ago when my dad brought back from Vietnam a rather hellish heroin habit, with an even worse habit of beating the hell out of my mom while my brother and I were helplessly watching. Nah, god doesn't exist and if he does I'd tell him to fuck off. What I DO enjoy, is learning. I think when one learns as much as she can about other people, people like and unlike them, we are better able to be empathetic and compassionate in times of distress. And nothing seems to separate people like religion. So that's why I am watching. :)
