I think they were just making reference to how much they've changed since they started watching the channel. I say the same thing whenever I see the kids. Because I started watching them when Steven was probably 11 or 12 @mcgaugh57

What you do to sift, sort, and empty out homes is beyond important. Lives spent selecting and accumulating things of value deserve to be carefully gone through like you do. Utility and redistribution are honoring of that stage of life.

So happy you have another house series. i have watched some of the other channels and they are just to over the top " Money Money Money" I like your perspective much better. You donate to charity, give away things to resent immigrants and to people that have lost their possessions to acts of nature. Much more family orientated. Well Done.

I wish I lived closer to you Alexander, there is so much that you're donating that I would buy from you. Some of the fabric and the teddies in chairs definatly, I would add them to my collection. I know I could look at your auction sales, I have in the past but the delivery to the UK puts things way out of my budget :( lol I still enjoy watching your house clearances. Thanks for taking us along with you & your lovely family. 💗💓

its amazing how you both take the time to sort through everything with patience and donate what you can, give to family. I appreciate that mostly everything you sort though gets a second life! i buy junk lots on ebay and also bulk broken jewelry lots since i make jewelry fora living... i feel like that takes a long time to sort though. i cant imagine sorting through an entire house without feeling overwhelmed. its incredible what you do!

The dust is due to the age of the former owner. It gets harder and harder to keep a dust free home as one gets older. I recommend vacuuming instead of sweeping. Sweeping just stirs the dust up into the air.

Did “she”(wife, I’m assuming) make the soft sculptures? Someone who appreciates craft? Not a lot of Dollar Store stuff. Love it! I love watching you on your journeys to find "treasures". Awesome! :) Watching from Edmonton. Beautiful chest of drawers as you walked up the stairs. I don't like cheap particle board furniture. I love wood furniture...more sturdy and lasts longest. :) Wow! That home had alot of items in it. Obviously, a person who had a hard time purging items. Beautiful pocket watch. When my Mom passed...we found my Grandpa's pocket watch. One of my brother's took it as a souvenir. When we cleaned out our family home...we had no arguments about who got what...it sure made our lives easier, not bickering about items. :) There are so many beautiful sets of dishes and accessories in that house. There will be someone who will appreciate those. :) As I always say..."Someone's junk, will be someone else's treasure."

7:18 Those are cjeese knifes. Used for spreading cream cheese on bagels or your apples, in this case.

That was a ceramic plaque of the Albrecht Durer Hare mounted on a wooden cheese board that you put in the charity box. That would have been worth good money.

I so much want to see Melissa finding the Polychromos pencils! In the first and 3rd vid I think I also saw a pack of coloraze pencils on top of the craft table. Not expencive, but useful if the kids are artistic

Local schools or preschools would probably love the art supplies or maybe even old folks homes.

Hey Alex - Not sure if someone has already mentioned this, but the picture of the bunny on that cheese platter was Young Hare by Albrecht Durer. Likely not the original, but still could be of value to someone. Love your channel!

you should clean out a tool box and start one for each of your children to carry in their car or put under their desk/ bed. Give them it for Christmas and birthday gifts🎁🎄🥽🎨🪡🚲🛻🚗🛒
