ive never felt a big problem in the last wipe with audio, i never rely on audio and try to use game knowledge to figure out where people are. there are your obvious problems of not hearing someone at all but as soon as i do hear them i go on high alert. hearing isnt only sound, its also contextualising sound. if you hear a door open at home youre not basing that on direction youre basing that of the specific sound

Whole game is a scam. I've got more that a thousand hours in it, but stopped playing the last few wipes. Optimisation became worse. Clowns want to release the game next year when streets arent even half optimised

I think the worst bug is that sometimes you just get stuck on the map and are running in place and cannot move, even if you DC from the raid, and reconnect, you still cannot move so you just have to hope and pray nobody finds your gear so you can get it back on insurance if you play alone... actually one of the worst bugs ever.
The servers are absolutely fucked. I am in London, have only European servers selected. After I removed South and East Europe I still have huge spikes ( 150-500 ) that's more often than not results in a disconnect. In the launcher it shows 15-40ms to the same servers. It's not my internet, tried the same at work, same result plus it was perfectly fine literally hours before the wipe. I've never even seen that number popping up in the right corner.
I have 40fps in Ground Zero. I had 80fps before. Literally unplayable, they can make the greatest game of all time, it does't matter if nobody can play it

Shoreline start for event. The first wave that spawns came from the helicopter, and I was on the west side of the building the generator is north of. Didn't peek, wasn't visible, an SKS scav just started shooting through the building and one shot me. Didn't get to check the hitbox it hit because the game went to a permanent black screen afterwards. Nikita, you've done it again
Only 2 out of the 5 people in my squad have been able to play consistently so far (after making some minor fixes related to VRAM). The rest of us CANNOT play due to constant crashes, bugs, and quests that are stuck. The game is completely UNPLAYABLE.
6:39 In all fairness, there's no real incentive for people to come back. Adding a few new weapons, reworking a map, or adding new quests isn't enough to keep players engaged when regardless, the main issues people have with the game are never even properly addressed or taken care of, even after years of complaints. That said too, the whole gameplay loop of every couple of months or so having to completely re-do the same quests we've been doing since the game's inception is INCREDIBLY tiring for most people. Nobody wants to spend days, if not weeks on end grinding, just to run into the same problems they've been complaining about for 4-5 years, or to have all their progress stripped away because "Here's a list of small, miniscule changes that would hardly affect your progress, but we're going to wipe it and make you start all over just to implement them anyway"

yeah got Kappa once like 4 years ago when flea was unlimited (no FIR) and even then it was a chore. Back then, when you could have bought so much gear and shit on the flea. Not gonna do it again, hell fuck SBIH and Punisher alone.
I don't necessarily disagree that there isn't any incentives for people to come back or stick with the game BUT without wipes in the games current state the number of players would drop probably significantly with even less reason to come back to the game.
The novelty of EFT is slipping away after years of failure from BSG to have their game function. Up until .12 the games performance was dogshit and barely improving. Then we had a few patches of decent times, where people were happy and the thing was shiny. The future was bright for EFT, they had made way more money than necessary in order to carry the game to completion. That little period of happiness and optimism didn't last too long, maybe it was gone by patch .14 and now we're rapidly sinking into quicksand with Nikita & BSG's constant incompetence managing their own product. Came back for this wipe, out of SPT, and boy george do I regret it. This patch reminds me of .11, doesn't help that they brought the damn icons back from
heavy on the new weapons, most of the more casual players are just gonna keep using aks and shotguns, nobody that goes outside is gonna care about a shiny new .338 or thermal sight

They can barely run the current Tarkov, splitting them between two versions of the game would be a nightmare. Imagine splitting the already small skeleton crew they have into two groups to work on two separate versions of the game. If you think this shit is buggy now your mind would be blown.
I used to go for Kappa every wipe since 2019 ish until streets dropped basically. Just cba to do the exact same quests on the same maps in the same order. Snoreline quests alone make me wanna not play at all anymore.
If you aren't dropping pmcs on shoreline before or after doing the quests you're just still new to the game no matter your hours. The best pvp in the game is on shoreline.
I was trying to get 15 eliminations in the new middle area on customs and I kept having invisible scavs kill me. They would walk in while hitting voice lines and I could see the muzzle flash when they shot but I sprayed the flash and couldn't hit them. Super lame.
It use to only happen on Streets, its nice to see that could happen on customs and possibly anywhere. Amazing work from the hardly working people at Tarkov.

I'll be honest. The instant scav que on death felt...just, like, right? Like it felt like the game was respecting my time. I actually felt super satisfied because I could just keep going until I'd finally extract once, then it went back on it's timer. Like, the game actually respected me for once. And then they fixed it. So, there goes the respect, I guess.
I mean tarkov isn't supposed to be holding your hand until you succeed. Bugs get fixed, and if you can't survive on a scav run that's on you, you need to get better. It'll take time, we've all been there. I think it's more healthy to think about the experience you had in raid rather than the result of the raid. Like what do you play for ? Rubble count goin up ? Does the fun you had in raid disappear the moment you die, making it all wasted time ? I don't think so. Play with friend, make memories, that's what it's about.
@thespacenoob4760 yes, it does take away from the fun. Because progressing, getting stuff is part fo the fun, even if they are jsut itmes sitting in the stash. Also, accomplishment is part of the fun. Not being successful makes a game really unsatifying. Also, if this was the only issue with the game, it would be fine. But it isnt. The game is openly hostile to anyone with the base game, and anyone who isnt good enough to survive most raids. To people who have a life outside the game, and cant play that much. Imagine that you only have like an hour or two to play on SOME days, half of it goes away because 70% of Tarkov is spent in the stahs and the loading screen (85% with base game, as you have to tetris in your stash even more) and the 2 games you can actually play you are killed by someone who has 10k hours, AND ON TOP OF THAT you have to wait x minutes until you can take another scav out... The way of thinking you are displaying will kill Tarkov. People will go and play PVE, or mod it offline, and they will ahve their fun. But people who enjoy PVP will have a dead game with only a few players....
My first raid, had all the medical supplies, 2 x shotguns, 1 x toz, 1 x selwa. Survived. Then loaded to no xp, all items gone. It was like the raid I just did didn't exist. Ffs. It can't be hard to fix these things. This is like my 8th wipe. Bloody terrible. Fix ya shit BSG.

As someone who just recently washed out of tarkov you speak out of my soul. A while ago i switched over to PVE because of the constant cheating but still there also were a ton of annoying bugs and i constantly felt disrespected by the devs and it was almost like they tried to do anything to make my hobby harder and less enjoyable whenever they could. At some point i just had enough, deleted tarkov and started playing satisfactory. Good job BSG, you turned something i loved into something i dont even want to look at anymore. And i couldnt be happier with my choice

It does say on the khorovod quest that he will find some people to help you and that you shouldnt shoot eachother, does say that you can identify eachother by the armband.

So outside of needing to wear one to do that mode (which it warns you anyway), its flavour text with no actual effect on the quest or its progression
I have played Tarkov since 2020 and haven’t missed a (Winter) wipe since. This is the first year I haven’t even wanted to play and won’t. This video is a perfect example. To any new player interested in Tarkov DONT. It’s not worth your time.

This one dude systematically head eyes one tapped our 5 man who was spread out on Interchange between upstairs mall, avocado, mid tent, Goshan registers, goshan warehouse within a minute or so? As we were getting dropped we were on comms trying to coordinate and figure things out and counter the killer. This cheater ran straight down the middle of the mall one tapping all of us. Same old trash game.
Best when u have the poverty version and getting the barter items for the beta container is not even close to happening. One positive thing about the audio, my ears arent bleeding from running on the snow. New recoil is kinda what it was before but a bit worse. A lot more scavs that just dont die for some reason and somehow they managed to make the FPS worse when before with snow it was actually better. Theres some of my thoughts on the wipe that i think u didnt mention, Anyways love the content Pest!
Recoil just feels like they added that backwards impulse when the gun shoots so it feels a bit more like its actually kicking backwards into you instead of pivoting on the pistol grip

I would love to go back before inertia & med reworks (no heavy bleeds & stim disadvantages), taking boxes into raid, scav market @ 10, no found in raid bullshit, no safe container restrictions, etc. At every stage Nikita has said he wants to make the game more difficult / unfun. Coincidentally that’s exactly what the changes have been since 2018, just more convoluted unoptimised and untested systems to cause frustration. Never addressing the core game issues. At this point I respect anyone who pirates this game and plays SPT, don’t give BSG any money. In terms of Audio, I've just died on a raid of factory where the muzzle flashes were downstairs, foosteps were upstairs by the offices but the guy was in locker rooms behind me. Bizarre is an understatement.

New scav reaction time is terrible, can instantly react from 300m away and then supress through a 1 pixel gap, leading to randomly being shot at whilst inside buildings etc.
I am usually supportive towards BSG, as you mentioned the community is getting progressively more toxic, inconsiderate and people tend to exaggerate issues to a cosmic scale. But the mess that is this wipe is inexcusable. No issues with stutters or sound system were present in the ETS build. Except for the usual issues, I am sick and tired of BSG changing the sound in game every single major patch, I don't care about echoes and detailed sound propagation. Last wipe it was the best it ever was, not perfect by any means, but in a serviceable state that was pleasant to the ear, albeit slightly too quiet for my taste. But it was good. And now it's in shambles again. Whatever causes the stutters is back, framerates are laughably low compared to a literal week ago. I think it is high time to stop adding sound systems and just focus on polishing stuff out. The previous iteration was good enough. BSG should focus especially on the matter of resource utilization, since the game barely uses any CPU or GPU. Playing at 1080p with RX 6800 XT, Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB CL16 3600MHz RAM I cannot get any more utilization than 40% on either, usually below that - except RAM, which is devoured ENTIRELY on Streets. And the numbers on GPU and CPU dropped to 25-30% after the update, rarely reaching over 50% per core at any times, no matter if SMT is disabled or otherwise. Mind you, this setup still allowed me to play Streets during zombie event averaging 50-60fps, but now? On Ground Zero alone I am experiencing framerates between 50-130 FPS, and this was not an issue before the update. I didn't even use my PC through chrismas, and I come back to this mess. And I know I am not alone in that. I hope BSG roll back the sound update and finally stop messing with it, I am 100% convinced the whole reverb system screwed everything up. You have a great game BSG, but people are not going to come back no matter what content you put out, if said content can't be enjoyed due to the game functioning like fvcking PowerPoint presentation on rigs that can run modern titles like STALKER 2 with no issue.
single handedly the thing that killed EFT population last wipe was: 1 Arena. Nobody played it worth shit when it came out until they made a new trader REF, with elite items you can unlock. THAT ALONE is a good enough carrot on a stick to play arena. But NO, now you get hundreds of thousands of XP without doing jack shit and get paid millions of rubles. You can litterally skip the next 2 weeks of the game and be a millionaire with level 30 without touching the game. My squad mate that sucks ass at EFT just got level 6 playing 3 rounds of arena and then dying 100% of the time in EFT. 2 PVE. "i dont like playing pvp, too many cheaters, sweaty players, i dont have the time" etc. This made the constant population of new players turn away into just casually playing PvE instead of grinding and getting better at pvp. There was also a healthy supply of timmies that aid in the punisher quests and lighthouse keeper quests, anything that requires MORE population of PMCs to fight. How am i supposed to kill bears if there isnt even PMCs period on a map? 3 cheaters, shit net code, bugs, yadda yadda. I set this at 3 because this is a constant leaking poison but one that has existed since day 1 that we understand exists and its up to the most battered and abused to continue to suffer through
I couldn't play until a couple of days into it here, so I was pleased to find that the lack of flea market meant that even my dingus helm could shrug off some rounds. armor isn't pointless right now and that's pretty cool.
When i first came to EFT, I was like wow okay, I get it, this is hooking game god damn, I played and played and got always around 34-42lvl and then I started to see tasks required to do, I realized what the f*ck and didn’t care to do them because what a waste of time in this cheater infested game and nowadays, I really haven’t played sh*t at all when I realized what a actual waste of time it is to play this game when it’s so cheater infested sh*tty performing game, that I finally could break out of that harmfull and hooking cycle that this game provides and I could finally get ridd off that feeling and I don’t really care to play it anymore, I thought PVE would make the world difference at it did, it’s so good feeling to know that there ain’t cheaters while in PVE but then cold fact hits that it’s so much more f*cking boring and pointless to play in PVE so it finally died on me ffs, money well spent on EOD edition lmao, and I’m now just seriously wondering how the fuck anyone can even withstand and play this game still? And even wasting their own time on LABS? I haven’t even went a single time on labs to get out of there alive and i still don’t know where labs exits are because I don’t care to waste my own precious time with that 24/7 cheating infested shithole so it makes me truly blow my mind how anyone can actually still waste their time on this game when there’s unfuckingreal amount of cheaters, if there wasn’t, man then this game would be so good, so so fucking good…

It is always jarring when I play this game and then I go and watch a UA-cam video or play another game and blow my ears out because I forgot to turn the volume down from 100%.
i truly think the game is beyond repair. every time i log on, im blown away at how bad it runs, looks and sounds. its super frustrating because i want to play all the time but 5 mins into a raid, im so annoyed with the bugs that i just log off again.

I'm a PvE player and the biggest gripe I have is the non-stop waves of scavs bum rushing you in one area of the map aa soon as you kill one and the worse part is that they literally do not stop coming and I'm left having to leave without searching the bodies because it won't stop lmao 😅
I had a Khovorod run end on Woods when 50 Scavs spawned simultaneously - not in waves, all at the same time. I even posted on the Reddit of 35 bodies all piled up in a small mountain on top of the generator. I've gotten one solo Khovorod clear - the rest have ended either on Woods or Reserve when I got bum-rushed by dozens of Scavs all at once.
I'm a PvE exclusive player. My first raid on night customs I killed all 5 cultists, got the new thermal scope of a cultist with an svds, extracted with a full raid bag loaded to the max with double partisan bag and double mppv. All progress reverted as if I never entered the raid. Spent the rest of the day 1 scavving on customs, reserve, and streets. Yesterday I downloaded the patch which supposedly fixed the PvE raid reverting bug as PMC. Didn't work initially, so I played streets, got a lucky rusted bloody key, pulled a dorms marked room key out of room worth 25 million roubles, then decided to do something about my PMC local raid reverting bug. It worked after manually highering initial and maximum disc drive paging and using the default USEC skin. No longer reverting raids I decided to play the Khorovod game solo mode today. All was going smoothly. Had plenty of ammo by the time I got to customs. Killed goons on lighthouse, shturman on woods, and partisan on customs before starting generator. As soon as I started generator on customs I was overwhelmed by an unfair horde of scavs and after a prolonged battle with almost no ammo by the end, I got railed after finishing the generator. I hate this wipe so much. I am going to attempt this game mode again for the achievement but it seems impossible solo if the game just decides to spawn an unfair horde of scavs around the generator.
For reference. I killed 71 enemies on the previous 4 maps on Khorovod mode before customs. OVER 50 SCAVS KILLED ON CUSTOMS ALONE AND THERE WAS MORE THAN 50 AND THEY JUST KEPT COMING. Completely utterly bullshit. I had less than 20fps whenever another wave spawned. Miraculously completed the generator on customs 1 mag in shturmans SVD and 2 mags for partisan AK I loaded from ammo I found on sks scavs. They all rushed me as i was running down the hill towards smugglers boat on my way to interchange transit. A group of them surrounded me by the time I got behind the big rock near to smugglers boat and as i ran out if ammo in the AK a pistol scav kept doming me over and over in my Ronin Resirator. Died to a shot from the back as i was ducking and switching to the svd. I'm uploading the two and a half hour attempt as I type this.
We've tried the event in PVE. It's almost impossible, it keeps spawning scavs over and over again. So you end up fighting around 100 scavs per generator. Not only you need insane amount of ammo, but knowing scavs, single shot from them can send you back to lobby. And you have to do the whole thing again.
Ive also had some really bad bugs: Was running down the road in Ground Zero and clipped into the ground, couldnt move even after a restart. Multiple times ive seen scavs spazzing out but my team says theres nothing there. Ive died to invisible and inaudible scavs.
you forgot to mention the bug where Scav extracts are bugged . Like the bunker extract on shoreline . It is also the note extract but thats on PMC , if you have bunker as an extract while on a scav you cant extract from there. I am guessing it has something to do with it being the note extract
That audio bug where the guy was shooting you on woods is because of the reverb system they added to audio. I was hearing that too on customs. Very weird.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Not only will this wipe keep former players away. It will also drive some of the new players from last wipe away. The flea change is neat but coming off of no fir fea wipe straight into one where only for matters is crazy from a player retention standpoint point.
Player retention is defintitely an issue with these problems at the start. I for example started the game up on wipe again. Had so many issues that I didn't want to play anymore. And now I am behind in the wipe. The first days are usually the most fun, when people are all running around with shit gear.
3 raids as a PMC on ground zero I was stuck rubber banding the entire time until I finally got killed or left the game because it was unplayable. My internet connection was perfectly fine and other actions such as shooting, using items, dropping items etc could still be performed. I even restarted my game and PC mid raid to try to fix it but I had no luck. This wipe is the buggiest it’s ever been IMO.
Other bugs I've encountered. 1: Random audio dissappearing, only restart resets audio. 2: Ground Zero - Spawning solo as PMC by Fusion4 / tartowers sale office triggers massive FPS drop & log at around 30fps, with severe stuttering. Running away, and restarting game is the only solution to reset preformence.
I've been a watcher of EFT for a long time tried to get into it like five different wipes, who actually wants to play this game especially as a solo, pure torture.
I’ve been enjoying the wipe even with the bugs. What’s more frustrating is the desync which I’m sure will get fixed, and just how big the gear difference is already. I’m level 9 haven’t had the time to play 48 hours myself but already had a raid where I dumped a 20 round mag into a guy with the mp5 for 15 hits and 330 odd damage only to be spun on and killed. Just kind of ridiculous how tanky people are already.
I've gotten the dogs barking, high pitched ringing randomly at times & sometimes when I've shot someone in the head, using my inventory, shooting, reloading & some actions cause audio to become almost muffled & doubled alongside the fact I can't hear a scav 5 feet away from me. Those are just a few of the audio issues that have been causing massive annoyance playing.

BRO on the topic of mico studders, WHY DO I KEEP GETTING STUCK IN OBJECTS. The disconnection symbol appears in the top right like im rubberbanding but I GET STUCK
specifically if you are holding onto high value items to sell on flea, the first few days that flea opens, everyone will also list their high value items... So the prices will drop substantially. So maybe wait to sell those.
I mean i had some stupid stuff happen, constant game crashes either when loading in and also just mid game, cheaters that track spray me through a wall and then kill me, rubber banding and just lag but despite all that i still enjoy it mostly. i love the fact that the flea is not here so its actually the best feeling to get armor level 4 or some good weapon or scopes. It just gives looting more meaning i wouldn’t mind if they added a no selling armor and weapons on the flea market so you gotta find certain items or unlock them by maxing traders. Just like they already did with all the good ammo
I was trying to convince a friend to play with me this wipe, was excited to hop on live again - he refused because he expected it to (at least at the start of wipe) be unstable and buggy. I didn't play because i wasn't interested in solo raids. and by god was he right. So yeah, bleeding the playerbase is definately accurate. You can't have a game be operating THIS LONG and still have the same old usual suspect bugs and instability.
Finally been able to do PvP pmc raids. All i did was: - change pagefile size to 24k-64k (maximum for 16gb RAM) - deleted all Tarkov logs folders - Cleared cache - Checked game integrity That fixed it for me, have been able to play pmc raids without issue so far. FiR requirement for hideout isn't too bad. Got half my hideout up already.

ive never felt a big problem in the last wipe with audio, i never rely on audio and try to use game knowledge to figure out where people are. there are your obvious problems of not hearing someone at all but as soon as i do hear them i go on high alert. hearing isnt only sound, its also contextualising sound. if you hear a door open at home youre not basing that on direction youre basing that of the specific sound

I think the worst bug is that sometimes you just get stuck on the map and are running in place and cannot move, even if you DC from the raid, and reconnect, you still cannot move so you just have to hope and pray nobody finds your gear so you can get it back on insurance if you play alone... actually one of the worst bugs ever.

The servers are absolutely fucked. I am in London, have only European servers selected. After I removed South and East Europe I still have huge spikes ( 150-500 ) that's more often than not results in a disconnect. In the launcher it shows 15-40ms to the same servers. It's not my internet, tried the same at work, same result plus it was perfectly fine literally hours before the wipe. I've never even seen that number popping up in the right corner.

Shoreline start for event. The first wave that spawns came from the helicopter, and I was on the west side of the building the generator is north of. Didn't peek, wasn't visible, an SKS scav just started shooting through the building and one shot me. Didn't get to check the hitbox it hit because the game went to a permanent black screen afterwards. Nikita, you've done it again
They suppressive fire now - they keep shooting at your last known location for a bit. You just got unlucky on the bullet pen.
Only 2 out of the 5 people in my squad have been able to play consistently so far (after making some minor fixes related to VRAM). The rest of us CANNOT play due to constant crashes, bugs, and quests that are stuck. The game is completely UNPLAYABLE.

In all fairness, there's no real incentive for people to come back. Adding a few new weapons, reworking a map, or adding new quests isn't enough to keep players engaged when regardless, the main issues people have with the game are never even properly addressed or taken care of, even after years of complaints. That said too, the whole gameplay loop of every couple of months or so having to completely re-do the same quests we've been doing since the game's inception is INCREDIBLY tiring for most people. Nobody wants to spend days, if not weeks on end grinding, just to run into the same problems they've been complaining about for 4-5 years, or to have all their progress stripped away because "Here's a list of small, miniscule changes that would hardly affect your progress, but we're going to wipe it and make you start all over just to implement them anyway"
And now imagine that you didn't pay 300$ for this but you are a(n) (in)sane person playing basic edition and you lose your stash and secure container upgrades everytime and you gotta deal with this P2W bullshit every single time.
yeah got Kappa once like 4 years ago when flea was unlimited (no FIR) and even then it was a chore. Back then, when you could have bought so much gear and shit on the flea. Not gonna do it again, hell fuck SBIH and Punisher alone.
I don't necessarily disagree that there isn't any incentives for people to come back or stick with the game BUT without wipes in the games current state the number of players would drop probably significantly with even less reason to come back to the game.
The novelty of EFT is slipping away after years of failure from BSG to have their game function. Up until .12 the games performance was dogshit and barely improving. Then we had a few patches of decent times, where people were happy and the thing was shiny. The future was bright for EFT, they had made way more money than necessary in order to carry the game to completion. That little period of happiness and optimism didn't last too long, maybe it was gone by patch .14 and now we're rapidly sinking into quicksand with Nikita & BSG's constant incompetence managing their own product.
Came back for this wipe, out of SPT, and boy george do I regret it. This patch reminds me of .11, doesn't help that they brought the damn icons back from

I had such high hopes for the progression this wipe when BSG stated the flea would be locked for a couple of weeks, and yet the first thing I see DAY ONE is a streamer picking up a dorms marked key for 500,000 Rubles.

I used to go for Kappa every wipe since 2019 ish until streets dropped basically. Just cba to do the exact same quests on the same maps in the same order. Snoreline quests alone make me wanna not play at all anymore.

If you aren't dropping pmcs on shoreline before or after doing the quests you're just still new to the game no matter your hours. The best pvp in the game is on shoreline.
I was trying to get 15 eliminations in the new middle area on customs and I kept having invisible scavs kill me. They would walk in while hitting voice lines and I could see the muzzle flash when they shot but I sprayed the flash and couldn't hit them. Super lame.
It use to only happen on Streets, its nice to see that could happen on customs and possibly anywhere. Amazing work from the hardly working people at Tarkov.

I'll be honest. The instant scav que on death felt...just, like, right? Like it felt like the game was respecting my time. I actually felt super satisfied because I could just keep going until I'd finally extract once, then it went back on it's timer.
Like, the game actually respected me for once. And then they fixed it. So, there goes the respect, I guess.
I mean tarkov isn't supposed to be holding your hand until you succeed. Bugs get fixed, and if you can't survive on a scav run that's on you, you need to get better. It'll take time, we've all been there. I think it's more healthy to think about the experience you had in raid rather than the result of the raid. Like what do you play for ? Rubble count goin up ? Does the fun you had in raid disappear the moment you die, making it all wasted time ? I don't think so. Play with friend, make memories, that's what it's about.

@thespacenoob4760 yes, it does take away from the fun. Because progressing, getting stuff is part fo the fun, even if they are jsut itmes sitting in the stash. Also, accomplishment is part of the fun. Not being successful makes a game really unsatifying. Also, if this was the only issue with the game, it would be fine. But it isnt. The game is openly hostile to anyone with the base game, and anyone who isnt good enough to survive most raids. To people who have a life outside the game, and cant play that much. Imagine that you only have like an hour or two to play on SOME days, half of it goes away because 70% of Tarkov is spent in the stahs and the loading screen (85% with base game, as you have to tetris in your stash even more) and the 2 games you can actually play you are killed by someone who has 10k hours, AND ON TOP OF THAT you have to wait x minutes until you can take another scav out... The way of thinking you are displaying will kill Tarkov. People will go and play PVE, or mod it offline, and they will ahve their fun. But people who enjoy PVP will have a dead game with only a few players....
My first raid, had all the medical supplies, 2 x shotguns, 1 x toz, 1 x selwa. Survived. Then loaded to no xp, all items gone. It was like the raid I just did didn't exist.

As someone who just recently washed out of tarkov you speak out of my soul. A while ago i switched over to PVE because of the constant cheating but still there also were a ton of annoying bugs and i constantly felt disrespected by the devs and it was almost like they tried to do anything to make my hobby harder and less enjoyable whenever they could. At some point i just had enough, deleted tarkov and started playing satisfactory. Good job BSG, you turned something i loved into something i dont even want to look at anymore. And i couldnt be happier with my choice

@@Phille95 no consequences for shooting someone else wearing it tho, at the worst maybe the usual TK penalty of being set to 1hp if you die which nobody cares about. So outside of needing to wear one to do that mode (which it warns you anyway), its flavour text with no actual effect on the quest or its progression
I have played Tarkov since 2020 and haven’t missed a (Winter) wipe since. This is the first year I haven’t even wanted to play and won’t. This video is a perfect example. To any new player interested in Tarkov DONT. It’s not worth your time.

This one dude systematically head eyes one tapped our 5 man who was spread out on Interchange between upstairs mall, avocado, mid tent, Goshan registers, goshan warehouse within a minute or so? As we were getting dropped we were on comms trying to coordinate and figure things out and counter the killer. This cheater ran straight down the middle of the mall one tapping all of us. Same old trash game.

Best when u have the poverty version and getting the barter items for the beta container is not even close to happening. One positive thing about the audio, my ears arent bleeding from running on the snow. New recoil is kinda what it was before but a bit worse. A lot more scavs that just dont die for some reason and somehow they managed to make the FPS worse when before with snow it was actually better. Theres some of my thoughts on the wipe that i think u didnt mention, Anyways love the content Pest!
Recoil just feels like they added that backwards impulse when the gun shoots so it feels a bit more like its actually kicking backwards into you instead of pivoting on the pistol grip
This is like the one minor thing I can say I like about this update. But even that isn't a win because it should have been done almost a decade ago.

At every stage Nikita has said he wants to make the game more difficult / unfun. Coincidentally that’s exactly what the changes have been since 2018, just more convoluted unoptimised and untested systems to cause frustration.

In terms of Audio, I've just died on a raid of factory where the muzzle flashes were downstairs, foosteps were upstairs by the offices but the guy was in locker rooms behind me. Bizarre is an understatement.

Bought this tame in 2019, loved it for many years. It's been straight downhill every patch since inertia. I finally escaped yesterday via uninstalling. Absolutely fuck this game and the devs that slowly killed it.

New scav reaction time is terrible, can instantly react from 300m away and then supress through a 1 pixel gap, leading to randomly being shot at whilst inside buildings etc.

I am usually supportive towards BSG, as you mentioned the community is getting progressively more toxic, inconsiderate and people tend to exaggerate issues to a cosmic scale.
But the mess that is this wipe is inexcusable. No issues with stutters or sound system were present in the ETS build. Except for the usual issues, I am sick and tired of BSG changing the sound in game every single major patch, I don't care about echoes and detailed sound propagation. Last wipe it was the best it ever was, not perfect by any means, but in a serviceable state that was pleasant to the ear, albeit slightly too quiet for my taste. But it was good. And now it's in shambles again. Whatever causes the stutters is back, framerates are laughably low compared to a literal week ago. I think it is high time to stop adding sound systems and just focus on polishing stuff out. The previous iteration was good enough.
BSG should focus especially on the matter of resource utilization, since the game barely uses any CPU or GPU. Playing at 1080p with RX 6800 XT, Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB CL16 3600MHz RAM I cannot get any more utilization than 40% on either, usually below that - except RAM, which is devoured ENTIRELY on Streets. And the numbers on GPU and CPU dropped to 25-30% after the update, rarely reaching over 50% per core at any times, no matter if SMT is disabled or otherwise. Mind you, this setup still allowed me to play Streets during zombie event averaging 50-60fps, but now? On Ground Zero alone I am experiencing framerates between 50-130 FPS, and this was not an issue before the update. I didn't even use my PC through chrismas, and I come back to this mess. And I know I am not alone in that. I hope BSG roll back the sound update and finally stop messing with it, I am 100% convinced the whole reverb system screwed everything up. You have a great game BSG, but people are not going to come back no matter what content you put out, if said content can't be enjoyed due to the game functioning like fvcking PowerPoint presentation on rigs that can run modern titles like STALKER 2 with no issue.
single handedly the thing that killed EFT population last wipe was:
1 Arena. Nobody played it worth shit when it came out until they made a new trader REF, with elite items you can unlock. THAT ALONE is a good enough carrot on a stick to play arena. But NO, now you get hundreds of thousands of XP without doing jack shit and get paid millions of rubles. You can litterally skip the next 2 weeks of the game and be a millionaire with level 30 without touching the game. My squad mate that sucks ass at EFT just got level 6 playing 3 rounds of arena and then dying 100% of the time in EFT.
2 PVE. "i dont like playing pvp, too many cheaters, sweaty players, i dont have the time" etc. This made the constant population of new players turn away into just casually playing PvE instead of grinding and getting better at pvp. There was also a healthy supply of timmies that aid in the punisher quests and lighthouse keeper quests, anything that requires MORE population of PMCs to fight. How am i supposed to kill bears if there isnt even PMCs period on a map?
3 cheaters, shit net code, bugs, yadda yadda. I set this at 3 because this is a constant leaking poison but one that has existed since day 1 that we understand exists and its up to the most battered and abused to continue to suffer through

Idk if i'm just lucky, but i've had zero problems so far and having a lot of fun playing this wipe.
I couldn't play until a couple of days into it here, so I was pleased to find that the lack of flea market meant that even my dingus helm could shrug off some rounds. armor isn't pointless right now and that's pretty cool.

When i first came to EFT, I was like wow okay, I get it, this is hooking game god damn, I played and played and got always around 34-42lvl and then I started to see tasks required to do, I realized what the f*ck and didn’t care to do them because what a waste of time in this cheater infested game and nowadays, I really haven’t played sh*t at all when I realized what a actual waste of time it is to play this game when it’s so cheater infested sh*tty performing game, that I finally could break out of that harmfull and hooking cycle that this game provides and I could finally get ridd off that feeling and I don’t really care to play it anymore, I thought PVE would make the world difference at it did, it’s so good feeling to know that there ain’t cheaters while in PVE but then cold fact hits that it’s so much more f*cking boring and pointless to play in PVE so it finally died on me ffs, money well spent on EOD edition lmao, and I’m now just seriously wondering how the fuck anyone can even withstand and play this game still? And even wasting their own time on LABS? I haven’t even went a single time on labs to get out of there alive and i still don’t know where labs exits are because I don’t care to waste my own precious time with that 24/7 cheating infested shithole so it makes me truly blow my mind how anyone can actually still waste their time on this game when there’s unfuckingreal amount of cheaters, if there wasn’t, man then this game would be so good, so so fucking good…
BSG realized in like 2018 if they don’t develop the game anymore they can constantly make money off cheaters. It’s a constant flow of revenue

The aduio is SO quiet for me this wipe, it used to be good at 80% and now at 100% volume i can barely hear someone full sprint 15 ft away

It is always jarring when I play this game and then I go and watch a UA-cam video or play another game and blow my ears out because I forgot to turn the volume down from 100%.

i truly think the game is beyond repair. every time i log on, im blown away at how bad it runs, looks and sounds. its super frustrating because i want to play all the time but 5 mins into a raid, im so annoyed with the bugs that i just log off again.
How it looks? No one even talks about that because it's the only thing BSG does very well. The game looks amazing. You have never played Tarkov.

I'm a PvE player and the biggest gripe I have is the non-stop waves of scavs bum rushing you in one area of the map aa soon as you kill one and the worse part is that they literally do not stop coming and I'm left having to leave without searching the bodies because it won't stop lmao 😅

I had a Khovorod run end on Woods when 50 Scavs spawned simultaneously - not in waves, all at the same time. I even posted on the Reddit of 35 bodies all piled up in a small mountain on top of the generator. I've gotten one solo Khovorod clear - the rest have ended either on Woods or Reserve when I got bum-rushed by dozens of Scavs all at once.
Biggest issue I've had is back to old audio issues. Being able to hear footsteps from 100 feet away but not able to here them from 20 feet away...

I'm a PvE exclusive player. My first raid on night customs I killed all 5 cultists, got the new thermal scope of a cultist with an svds, extracted with a full raid bag loaded to the max with double partisan bag and double mppv. All progress reverted as if I never entered the raid. Spent the rest of the day 1 scavving on customs, reserve, and streets. Yesterday I downloaded the patch which supposedly fixed the PvE raid reverting bug as PMC. Didn't work initially, so I played streets, got a lucky rusted bloody key, pulled a dorms marked room key out of room worth 25 million roubles, then decided to do something about my PMC local raid reverting bug. It worked after manually highering initial and maximum disc drive paging and using the default USEC skin. No longer reverting raids I decided to play the Khorovod game solo mode today. All was going smoothly. Had plenty of ammo by the time I got to customs. Killed goons on lighthouse, shturman on woods, and partisan on customs before starting generator. As soon as I started generator on customs I was overwhelmed by an unfair horde of scavs and after a prolonged battle with almost no ammo by the end, I got railed after finishing the generator. I hate this wipe so much. I am going to attempt this game mode again for the achievement but it seems impossible solo if the game just decides to spawn an unfair horde of scavs around the generator.
I am going to see if my Russian friend can drop me a balaclava_dev so I can do this event solo.
For reference. I killed 71 enemies on the previous 4 maps on Khorovod mode before customs. OVER 50 SCAVS KILLED ON CUSTOMS ALONE AND THERE WAS MORE THAN 50 AND THEY JUST KEPT COMING. Completely utterly bullshit. I had less than 20fps whenever another wave spawned. Miraculously completed the generator on customs 1 mag in shturmans SVD and 2 mags for partisan AK I loaded from ammo I found on sks scavs. They all rushed me as i was running down the hill towards smugglers boat on my way to interchange transit. A group of them surrounded me by the time I got behind the big rock near to smugglers boat and as i ran out if ammo in the AK a pistol scav kept doming me over and over in my Ronin Resirator. Died to a shot from the back as i was ducking and switching to the svd. I'm uploading the two and a half hour attempt as I type this.
Working as intended, PVE practice with no reward to encourage you to play the real game with real challenge just as originally intended.
PVE was a mistake now Nikita gotta make sure you guys can enjoy the uwu safe space instead of fixing bug for actual player who enjoy their actual game

We've tried the event in PVE. It's almost impossible, it keeps spawning scavs over and over again. So you end up fighting around 100 scavs per generator. Not only you need insane amount of ammo, but knowing scavs, single shot from them can send you back to lobby. And you have to do the whole thing again.
This was the only ad I watched 3 times voluntarily.

Ive also had some really bad bugs:
Was running down the road in Ground Zero and clipped into the ground, couldnt move even after a restart.
Multiple times ive seen scavs spazzing out but my team says theres nothing there.
Ive died to invisible and inaudible scavs.
you forgot to mention the bug where Scav extracts are bugged . Like the bunker extract on shoreline . It is also the note extract but thats on PMC , if you have bunker as an extract while on a scav you cant extract from there. I am guessing it has something to do with it being the note extract
A couple days in and have already run into more cheaters than I could imagine I would. This is getting ridiculous.

That audio bug where the guy was shooting you on woods is because of the reverb system they added to audio. I was hearing that too on customs. Very weird.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Not only will this wipe keep former players away. It will also drive some of the new players from last wipe away. The flea change is neat but coming off of no fir fea wipe straight into one where only for matters is crazy from a player retention standpoint point.
Player retention is defintitely an issue with these problems at the start. I for example started the game up on wipe again. Had so many issues that I didn't want to play anymore. And now I am behind in the wipe. The first days are usually the most fun, when people are all running around with shit gear.
3 raids as a PMC on ground zero I was stuck rubber banding the entire time until I finally got killed or left the game because it was unplayable. My internet connection was perfectly fine and other actions such as shooting, using items, dropping items etc could still be performed. I even restarted my game and PC mid raid to try to fix it but I had no luck. This wipe is the buggiest it’s ever been IMO.
Other bugs I've encountered.
1: Random audio dissappearing, only restart resets audio.
2: Ground Zero - Spawning solo as PMC by Fusion4 / tartowers sale office triggers massive FPS drop & log at around 30fps, with severe stuttering. Running away, and restarting game is the only solution to reset preformence.
I've been a watcher of EFT for a long time tried to get into it like five different wipes, who actually wants to play this game especially as a solo, pure torture.

I’ve been enjoying the wipe even with the bugs. What’s more frustrating is the desync which I’m sure will get fixed, and just how big the gear difference is already. I’m level 9 haven’t had the time to play 48 hours myself but already had a raid where I dumped a 20 round mag into a guy with the mp5 for 15 hits and 330 odd damage only to be spun on and killed. Just kind of ridiculous how tanky people are already.

I've gotten the dogs barking, high pitched ringing randomly at times & sometimes when I've shot someone in the head, using my inventory, shooting, reloading & some actions cause audio to become almost muffled & doubled alongside the fact I can't hear a scav 5 feet away from me. Those are just a few of the audio issues that have been causing massive annoyance playing.
That scav timer bug has been happening pre wipe to me in PvE, i thought it was a feture. If i died without doing much i had another scav ready to go.
worst bug I've encountered so far is not being able to sell stuff, just comes up with an error message, freezes, and then returns to main screen, literally unplayable
BRO on the topic of mico studders, WHY DO I KEEP GETTING STUCK IN OBJECTS. The disconnection symbol appears in the top right like im rubberbanding but I GET STUCK
specifically if you are holding onto high value items to sell on flea, the first few days that flea opens, everyone will also list their high value items... So the prices will drop substantially. So maybe wait to sell those.
I mean i had some stupid stuff happen, constant game crashes either when loading in and also just mid game, cheaters that track spray me through a wall and then kill me, rubber banding and just lag but despite all that i still enjoy it mostly.
i love the fact that the flea is not here so its actually the best feeling to get armor level 4 or some good weapon or scopes. It just gives looting more meaning i wouldn’t mind if they added a no selling armor and weapons on the flea market so you gotta find certain items or unlock them by maxing traders. Just like they already did with all the good ammo

I learned a while ago tarkov is like a toxic relationship. Its a lot more fun to watch someone else play that out than yourself.
I was trying to convince a friend to play with me this wipe, was excited to hop on live again - he refused because he expected it to (at least at the start of wipe) be unstable and buggy. I didn't play because i wasn't interested in solo raids.
and by god was he right. So yeah, bleeding the playerbase is definately accurate. You can't have a game be operating THIS LONG and still have the same old usual suspect bugs and instability.
Finally been able to do PvP pmc raids.
All i did was:
- change pagefile size to 24k-64k (maximum for 16gb RAM)
- deleted all Tarkov logs folders
- Cleared cache
- Checked game integrity
That fixed it for me, have been able to play pmc raids without issue so far.
FiR requirement for hideout isn't too bad. Got half my hideout up already.
