Like you, I don’t mind the consistency at all. I’m a grown woman, I actually think it tastes really good. Not to mention, that “slime” is what moistens things in such a delicious way and benefits our bodies like crazy! 💦 💦 💦 💦 🐈⬛
I love okra, and usually eat the pods raw, while I'm still out in the garden .. This year, one of our friends started a dwarf variety, and brought us a tray full of starts, so I didn't start the cowhorn variety that I would have grown, and planted those little plants, instead. They might be 'good for small spaces', but the pods are just too tough for my liking (cowhorn gets nice and long before toughening up). I've cracked them open and eaten the seeds, but I might try soaking them overnight now - I hate to let food go to waste.
Good morning on this Thankful Thursday Sunshine. I'm in on the okra water Started a year ago after Lady Cheryl talked about it and nothing but great results. Okra water up. Have a amazing day. Love ya'll
Great job 👏🏽 nothing wrong with substitutions to make it work for you! Glad to hear that you didn't let it stop you from all the benefits that it offers your body! Again, thanks for watching 👀 😊
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 I'll think I'll continue to have mine cooked in soups or my favorite mixed with Navy Beans; thank you for sharing. Be well and be safe. Peace and blessings
Hey 🖐🏽 never tried that but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt! It would probably add more diuretic benefits to it! Try it and let us know.... If you do, tag me in your video
Question: After the okra water sits out on the counter overnight, can I put it in the refrigerator so it could be chilled before I drink it or I have to drink it at room temperature? Please advise ....blessings 😃
Thanks for the question! I have actually tried it both ways. You can actually sit it in the fridge overnight if you prefer. I believe that it was posed that way because your body absorbs water better at room temperature. Let me know how you like it 😊
@lala0828-u1b to each his own. Room temperature water is absorbed by the body better, but if you like it cold, put it in the fridge. Either way is OK. 😊

Right! That may be a good variety for something like this or stewing....
I agree I was thinking they are probably good for thickening stews.

Right! I started last year as well and I will stay on it as well during the months that I'm growing okra 😊
Just done it tonight for the 1st time. It’s not bad but the slime almost made me throw up. I added lemon juice to mine and that made it go down better

When you cook it, it removes a lot of the nutrients.

You supposed to put in fridge and let it sit overnight ❤

I’m not ready yet. I strongly dislike okra. 🤢
Totally understand! I had a strong dislike for okra when I was younger but I guess that changed somewhere 😊
