    I am from India and I want to tell one thing that racism is everywhere even in Asia once my friend when to the east asian countries like Japan and South Korea there he faced a lot of racism cause he is brown and everybody used to stare at him and he also told that people would not sit beside him in metros . @@motivationprime2125 okay I only understood that halfway and i will reply by what I have understood u saying our people are curious than being racist by that logic racism shouldn't exist then all people can pass racism by saying they're just curious then let me tell you the dumb educated person a thing it's one simple thing in India racism is normalized in the level of spouting racial slurs on random person, abuse and violence where people surrounding just walk away from that thinking it's normal (from my personal experience) and thus my point still stands indians are racist to their own people while other countries are not curb your nationalism and open your eyes to see the truth

    I'm thankful I'm born and raised in Hawaii because we're all predominantly mixed races and mostly asian. I, myself, am Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino. We didn't have asian hate here, but on the continental US, it was scary for us to visit family as some people were ignorant. We just tried not to engage the haters. Don't let the ignorance other people affect your life if you can, but definitely try to help each other from them. Happy New Year!

    It makes me feel happy that this issue is being raced. Recently an Indian living in korea faced racism. He and his friends were denied to enter in club, I guess this happened in Busan. Indians and Pakistani were not allowed in any of the club in Busan. This really makes me feel sad. People are so full of themselves that they are white or they are superior than other people and this is not just in Korea . It happens everywhere even in India. These people just don't understand that how their comments effect other people and when their family members or friends have to face same situation then they start calling out people racist.

    When I grew up and learned about racism the first time, I just felt angry and I kept asking why over and over again, but then I learned that a society will never be perfect, each and everyone of us thinks different and that even if we have the same blood flowing in our veins, we are still not the same person and we have different perspective in life, so when I see someone racist or watch it on vids I think that they're nonsense, but what bothers me the most is when I see how the people feel towards racism. I kept missing my innocence as a kid when I didn't know about these things, but I also thought about "hey this is me growing up, I grew up and survived, that's what matters" because it shows that something changed in me and that I grew up. But the more you realize and understand things, the more you could get hurt so I try to think of how to handle certain situations.

    I was born in California but my parents are from El Salvador. I experienced racism first hand at 5 years old. I work in the medical field and I get racist remarks at least once a week. I'm told to go back to my country, speak American, refused to be served, I've been hit, spit on, scared for my life at times. I've had to run away from situations and it is just sad. The fact that I'm in constant aware of my surroundings is sad. I am a shy reserved person but when I see racism, I cannot let it slide and will fight back if I see someone going through it. I am numbed at this point when it's said to me but I despise seeing others suffer. My mom told me I was like that since I was a kid and I don't think that will change. Different cultures are beautiful and it's sad to see other's so narrowminded. I'm getting more hate now because I decided to learn Korean, because I have to pronounce it so I speak out loud since I really want to do this properly. Speaking Spanish, English was hard for me so I'm a stickler in pronunciation. But I don't really care since I love languages and I just ignore people.

    When people think of racism they tend to think of things in the clips, where its pretty overt. But the majority of racism takes the form more of a micro aggression. Where we may say or do things we don't even realize has racist connotations simply because we don't think about it. We learn to do, be, and say these things from young ages, so it's important that when we get older that we became aware of this topic and of our own behavior. I think the problem is partly exaggerated. In the sense that Koreans are offended when they are mistaken for Chinese or Japanese, but the Koreans themselves are unlikely to be able to distinguish a white from Russia, Europe, the USA, Australia or South Africa. Most people do not know how to read nationality in faces. In general, you need to become kinder to people if they are nosy, and not frankly rude.

If you can't tell them apart, just don't assume a person is Chinese just because of their features... like what's the point? It doesn't make sense. I'm white and if someone comes up to me assuming (not asking) that I'm russian or german or whatever just because I'm white, I'd be like wtf if you see someone who looks asian to you and all of a sudden you start naming Chinese celebrities or brands because they look east asian so you assume they're chinese, that's racism. Why would you assume they're chinese in the first place? Again, it's fine if you can't tell where a person is from (it's perfectly normal actually, as I said I'm white but looking at me you probably won't be able to tell which country I'm from) but don't go around assuming.

Went with work to the UK, Spain and Italy and got taken aside where they checked my bagage and questioned me for 20 minutes. First time it occured when we arrived to the UK they laughed their asses off ( i dont mind, got used to getting questioned) but it changed when we tried going back to the NL, they really didnt like it. Happend aswell in Spain and Italy, but In Italy, the partners just had it and eventually I was able to leave Italy without being questioned.

    This whole race that people are fighting each other for. We won't win the race apart we win it together, love is the only thing that should be spread because without it we can't spell evolve. We all need to evolve and move forward, i am from South Africa and i have never experienced racism nor have i been abroad. When I see this whole issues about race, it's really heart pressing and I know that im too sensitive to experience racism without crying or getting depressed, so i promised myself that to keep my emotions safe I will stay were im loved and not were im tolerated. The truth is there is one family tree and that is Humanity
    {but personally speaking, being black isn't so easy, you know your risks are already higher for something bad,just your existed comes with sorrowful experience. It seems we are a race that's most accepting and yet the one that's least accepted }

      @kek-zk3gyYeah, but race is a confusing and silly concept to me since it's a social construct and have no biological basis, the definition changes depending on where you're from. In the US, they mainly base race on geography or the continent. In Greenland there is only two categorization, you are either white or Inuit; meaning, if you weren't Inuit you were considered white, even if you were black. Other people define race on phenotype or genealogy. For example, major ethnic groups in India (South Asia in general) are in the continent of Asia so technically that would make them "Asians", according to Americans but genetically, they aren't closely-related to East Asians (with the exception of Bhutan and minority groups) and phenotypically they look nothing alike, so for some people that base race on genealogy, they will be categorized seperately. Case in point, in the UK, they used to classify East and Southeast Asians seperately from South Asians, South Asians were simply "Asian", while East and Southeast were classified as "oriental." In many Latin American countries, they refer to East and Southaest Asians as "Chino" or "Chinito" while South Asians are "hindú", despite the fact that hindu is a religion and tecnically not a race, but that's what they call them. More rececntly though, at least among the younger generations who started to adopt US's definition of race, anyone whose origin is from Asia are referred to as "Asiatico."

    Not only in European or American countries, it turns out that many Koreans are very racist. Really not a comfortable place to live. Even when compared to neighboring countries, such as Japan, the attitudes and personalities of the people are “very different”. I really don't know why so many Koreans behave like that. The European race is more valued, compared to fellow Asian countries. and also i don't understand too, why Koreans don't like people from Southeast Asia so much? Even a high school student from lila, insulted my friend and said "we don't hang out with people like you". Living in Korea is so stressful, even for someone like me who looks Korean. My friend, who didn't look like a Korean at all, had an even harder time than I did. I think differences are not a good thing to look at. Everyone there wanted all things to be equal. Sorry if I say this, I say it based on what I experienced. Like, I just hope racist stuff like this doesn't happen anywhere again. Because this is really annoying to experience.

Try to always be kind to one another helping when you can. We already have enough problems in the world without making it worse. Remember the general public isn't responsible for their government or bad people actions. I am a nice guy but if I see racism/cruelty I will step up and defend a person even if I stand alone.
