I saw a tenz clip and he was explaining how he flicks twice. But if you watch it, it’s so fast it looks like one motion. The concept of different rated players taking their time is something I definitely needed to hear about
If you watch hooj's shots you will see the same flick and microflick technique
@@user-us6yp9mk3p Doesn't matter as long as the whole process is fast and consistent
I often like to shoot 1 bullet on my initial flick just in case but I actually start the gunfight on that second readjustment
@@davidplummer7302 but isnt that a waste for your first shot accuracy? depending on gun that can affect the fight quite heavily no?
yep that's actually what majority of pros do and a large amount of radiants too. You do a flick and then you adjust. Usually the flick is an under flick so the adjustment is easier instead of an overflick that most people do
What you were saying at 32:00 is very similar to golf. Lots of people tell you to take your time with your swing when you're new to golf, but you see professionals who are swinging super fast and hitting the ball really far. You attribute their success when hitting the ball to the speed but when you try to swing fast you hit a bad shot. What new players fail to realize is the small fundamental things that are happening in a pro golfers swing that they have trained and developed over time. That training has allowed them to swing really hard because they are instinctively making all of those fundamental movements which gives them solid contact. The reason people say to take your time when starting out is because you need to work slowly with those fundamentals before you try to add power and speed to your shot.
As a fellow golfer, I love this analogy. I used to be golfer C; Swinging as hard as I possibly could to get that perfect 300 yard drive... 1 out of every 50 swings. I slowly adjusted from just wanting to hit the ball really far, to getting lower scores when I actually played the course. Then I became golfer A, only hitting 200 yard drives, but 95% of the time being able to find my ball. Slowly you can adjust your swing mechanics and get to the point where you are a 250 yard driver, but still getting it consistently in the fairway. Never thought that Valorant and golf had an aspect so similar, but thank you for the comment. Hopefully this idea will help me improve my valorant consistency.
military engraves it into your mind when taking weaponry apart and cleaning thoroughly. Fast is slow; smooth is fast. got me very far in learning new things. not something everyone has heard but it works for me 🤷🏻♂️
But you gotta also train to aim fast or you will develope a bad habit of just aiming slow
This is why I never watch raw pro scene, since I am noob I know I will misunderstnad something/reason of their action, I would rather watch analysis video of the match
I’ve been doing the deadzoning and gunfight hygiene practice for a few days now and it feels like I’m getting worse every day. I’ve been crouch spraying for my entire first month of playing val because it works. I get kills with it. When I take my time I whiff and die and it makes me wanna go back. You explained the skill ceiling idea really well and I’m feeling a bit more confident now, gonna stick to the burst firing and swing practice and see how things go :)
Well if you want a higher rank, you will want to develop a more accurate aim and movement, along with better gunfight hygiene because you can't guarantee that crouch spraying will get you 1-2 kills everytime and that your team will also be good enough to clean up everything and win the round afterwards.
Sometimes you gotta take a step back to take two steps forward
5 months later and I’m gold 2 at this point, been doing the aimlabs routine and still perfecting my gunfight hygiene. Perfect practice makes perfect :3
okay but when player C hits their shot the clip is insane
5:45 i was not ready for that, i instantly fix my sitting posture bcause of that
Hello Banana Senpai,
I hit GOLD 1 today!!! I did the routine for mechanics, I cant still hit 20 in medium bots, but I can hit around 16-18 consistently. Suddenly one day the medium bots started feeling slow, suddenly one day I went from 10 medium bots to 15
I am gonna keep doing the training everyday if possible. I was recently put into a DM with every player strafing and shooting, it felt surreal, it felt how isaagi felt playing against the top three
Thank you and as always great content!
i can only hit like 3-5 with luck bruh 😭
@@mikevos4460 yeah keep doing it, suddenly you will be able to do it
Suddenly medium bots will feel like easy
@@mikevos4460 he’s talking about medium bots
You have like 3 seconds to react
I'm Silver 1 & I can consistently hit 16-18 medium bots with ease. I'm definitely lacking in something else that's keeping me stuck in Silver, I just wanna know what it is
@@ahmeduansar Im silver and I can hit 28-30 medium bots every time. I get about 20 on average on the hard bots. I'm just confused how you guys are silver because in my lobbies the people are really good
I’ve been watching your vids for a day now and every tip and advice you are saying in your vids are making me want to get better at the game ❤️ I love the vids
When you explained how Radiants shoot, TenZ actually covered it once when people asked him how he flick with his Marshal and that’s interesting ngl. Shows basically pro players all have the same general idea. Nice vid as always WHJ!
This video was much needed man, thnx
having this vids with sharp and carefully (well) placed Bluelock mentality references really makes me miss Bluelock less than I would normally.
Thank you for teaching me Valorant while also making my daily Bluelock spinoff episode.
I really like you content Woohoojin, helped me see the game way differently and have a new appreciation for Valorant.
I love your intro, it gives me 90's game show vibes.
Could watch this all day

THIS. This is my problem, and I knew it b4 watching the video lol, but dude... the explanation is top-tier. The banana never fails to deliver.
it’s crazy because i was just thinking this while watching my gameplay, im a ascendant 2 smokes player and i realized i rush my fights so that i can use my utility for my team so i’m working on being much more patient and composed
Within a two day span of watching your videos, my omen has gone from a ab 32% win rate with a 0.8 avg k/d to a 72% avg win rate with a 1.4 k/d LOL thanks for the vids wooj
i started being more patient in watching these 20+ minute videos, so this is actually pretty useful for me
be a bit more patient and watch the VOD review original. All the points mentioned here will be driven home with the VOD REVIEW!
after watching you for a while, you're a good coach and deserve the credit
I feel the first shot accuracy thing, i've been blaming my aim so much, but it's my first shot accuracy and autopilot xhair placement. my FS always hovers between player A(too slow) and player C(too fast)
Loving the blue lock thumbnails ♥️
I came from Apex. I had played here and there whenever apex pissed me off. Last act i actually tried to grind Valorant. Hit gold. Could not get out of gold. I started watxhing your videoa. I am now diamond 1. Love how informative your videos are
the new banana POV staring into my soul was a gaddamn jumpscare
I was stuck silver 2 and 1 and I peaked plat. AFTER I found your videos after being hard stuck IM GOLD 3 after a few weeks of training and game sense rising. My goal for this act is to hit diamond or higher. You taught me a lot of holes In my game play and I fight to play TWO main characters in my games this helped tremendously.😊
This is a great video for lower ranked players because it reinforces the aim training. Don’t stop moving until your crosshairs is on their heads.
The blue lock eyes in the thumbnail are really sending all these references home.
These thumbnails keep getting better. Love to see 'em.
I SEE THE BLUE LOCK EYES IN THE THUMBNAIL!!!
love that show so much
Woohoojin I have a question if I was to get lucky and win the raffle do I send my worst game, best game, or first game as my VOD. Also I am unable to watch in the morning as I am at school so do you post each and every VOD on UA-cam?
I slowed down my aim recently and feel like I hit less shots as I have more time to overthink the shot and miss, whereas my original, fast paced aim I hit a lot more shots since I couldn’t overthink them. I constantly hovered around 25-30% hs percentage, and now I’m sinking to lower 20’s. I’m in Silver-gold.
If you've got a stinger or something run and gun against a rifle it can actually be good to run out centre smoke, rare situation but I pretty regularly can get one before they can flick and track a running target.
Lovely analysis, lot of takeaways for me
Youre too good of a coach .
- actually goated as a coach
another thing id criticise is the timing of when he is placing smokes, as omen your smokes dont last long at all, 15 seconds i believe, so placing them right as the round starts means theres only about 5-7 seconds when they are still standing as you are on site. Place them accordingly when needed, for example when you are about to leave C long smoke garage, then smoke CT so you get more value out of them
How many of the VOD reviews on stream do you upload on this channel? Just curious if it's like the majority or maybe half since you usually do like 2 a stream
I think woohoo should change his character at his lives for one of this new thumbnails. They are awesome
He used a new animation! 😂 One of the best coaches ever
Question. Is there a way I can tell if my sensitivity is holding me back? I sometimes feel like I’m overthinking it but I’m not sure.
Watching this playlist makes me wonder if there are other maps than Haven at all :D
Could you make a whole vid about this topic? I know you have 2 and I've seen both but how do we practice this? Just be slower?
How do you remember all those tactics, it's so hard for me and I'm unable to find solution for it
I'm loving the Blue Lock references.
Damn when you did the hardbots as player c it looked exactly the same as when I do it
I do have a question so when is it good to watch flank?
Could you make a video about when to be looking at your minimap? In some videos you get upset at the reviewee because they were looking at their minimap, but now you say they should be looking at it to get the refrags. Tips on when to look and when not to would be nice
If you are actively fighting or exposed to a lot of danger, you shouldn’t be looking at the minimap. However, if you’re tucked behind some cover or there’s no fighting yet, you can look at the minimap for a sec
thank you for your wisdom banana
I love the blue lock references
a wise man once said "rush your shots and you will miss, take your time and you will kill"
Take aim, then fire, let's not complicate this
@@dwkz1581 isnt that killjoy ?
@@supernova7060 its chamber
I like the emotes (idk when you added them but they cool)
Seeing Blue Lock Banana gets me everytime
I love the blue lock thumbnails
that rage quit was amazing
ahh yes, tales of the quick shots.
I use to be radiant and now im immortal and i struggle a lot in game with this , everyone at top level has 8ms or 10 and it feels i need to be fast , i cant find a way to fix this
wtf that overlay is sick now!
i play jett chamber and reyna on all maps should i branch out to different playstyles and agents?, i have a 31.4% HS on chamber 33.2% HS on reyna and 26.0% HS on jett my KDA is above 1.1 on both chamber and reyna.
this is one of THE BEST TIPS
love it coach
MAN IS SO UNDERRATED
Moral of the story:
Banana Good You Bad
Solution: get gud
banana stare thumbnail make me too scared to miss my shots now
i wonder how many people who normally shoot fast played other fps games where you ads. im so used to shooting asap because it's easy to adjust when ads but it's a lot harder in this game so i have to focus on being slower
wow new woohoojin bananas yay!!!!
Started watching Bluelock recently after seeing it mentioned in the discord and I think I understand where the use of "devour" in this community has been coming from lately 😂
THE BLUE LOCK BANANA ALWAYS KILLS ME
In a game what happend to us was that my team, me and two more we did exactle 32 kills each one but, we did win the game because all the situacion they pick a better decision than us, so I dont know if doing more kills is always a win, a love your videos bro! thanks for the content in your chanel! I am from paraguay!
AAAAAAAAAAAH I LOVE BANANA BEING EMOTIONAL NOWWW
Bro ive climbed from mid gold to diamond in the last 2 months watching your vids.
Common Woohoojin W
PS: charity steam soon !!
Does server really matters?
I mean in terms of quality not technically.
I hit immo 2 this act (mumbai server) and it's going smooth so i wanna check is it really the same in other servers.
Going to have to try taking my time.. D3/A1 here, I shoot insanely fast half the time but I struggle with accuracy still, I hope this'll help and ty for all the content!
do you also get like blue on your first shots? coz I do, I'm p1 but d1 back in s5 a3. I gotta practice what banana man said to shoot slowly because when i saw my replays 80% of the time or even 90% of the time when I'm running and I see an opponent and shoot I always get blue on my first shot.
@@haven6254 Yes same here! A lot of the times I do get a kill due to the first few bullets of a spray being sorta accurate but I very often miss the first one due to still moving
watched this video like 2 months ago started implementing this technique and went from silver 3 to plat 2
Is Darshan Coaching Session 4 gonna be done live anytime soon, or is his 31-day challenge over?
Its crazy how much blue lock represents banana's philosophy
I love the blue lock woohoojin emote
Does Woohoojin have an explanation of maining roles like @28:14?
Yo theres actually a pause before he shoots im not kidding watch it on .25x when hes shooting free range!!
at 12:00 and after I personally learned to minimap frag by myself. I never watched a tip vid about it I simply just saw enemies on the minimap from teammates pov and headshot them. It confuses me how so many people don't even know about it.
2 weeks ago i was player C in ascendant. its so rough trying to convert into player B
"Fast is Fine. Accurate is Final"

PFFFF I was just chilling, enjoying the super valuable information from this VOD review and I SEE THIS FUCKING BLUE LOCK REFERENCE
At last, my favorite time of the day, watching Banana Man's latest video
bro just a few months ago I was watching woohoojin at 20k subs, now hes at 120k??? Crazy
' you don't look at your mini map enough' I am iron and I dieee because I look at my mini map way too much. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have gotten kills like that by looking at the mini map, only a few tho. am I looking at the mini map at the wrong time or whatever I don't know but am trying to reduce the times I look at the mini map
Hooj looks terrifying when he looks straight at you
Hey Woohoojin, I am a g1 player and I have around a 30% headshot rate. Despite this, I still feel like I am rushing my shots in most of my gunfights, and it is the main thing I actively work to improve. If you had to guess, do you think that I am actually rushing, or that it is in my head. I have watched my own gameplay and it still seems like I rush shots often. I am asking because I want to know if I should spend time practicing other aspects of my gameplay over taking my time with shots. I am happy to link my tracker, and I thank you for any help you may give. Thank you, and have a good day!
The headshot rate is what percentage of the shots you land are headshots, it doesn't tell you whether you missed shots or kills because you rushed
Lmao I love that facial expression change suddenly
also our omen MC here is so lost fr
Never thought about it until now but hooj is a vtuber
Wow I already did minimap refragging without ever knowing it's a thing
So how do I take my time in aiming
Dont know how i managed to find this video within a minute of you posting
Best piece of advice I ever got came from The Flash, "make a plan, execute the plan, wait for the plan to go off the rails, abandon the plan" what I thought of within the first minute of this video
Should we practice hard bots?
I'm really struggling to get out of gold 3 can I send you a vod to tell me what I'm doing wrong plz :'(?
Damn one more omen haven, I am blessed
5:59 yep thats sage's job that's why i hate playing a role other than a sentinel, i unwillingly started to main sentinels especially killjoy, cuz my sentinels teammates dont do their job for holding flanks. Imagine a sage in every game rushing into the site thinking she is a duelist or a controller or whatever or a damn cypher after he put placed tripwires, three seconds laters runs and die. How many times did i have to do their job when i was playing a duelist. They leave the flank and of course i have to start to get worried about it.
Im enjoying playing Killjoy tho
i'm scared of the angry banana now
Im that omen watching flank every round... sorry banana
the isagi bannana lmao
12:07 Can someone tell me where exactly the enemy was? I watched this moment 10 times and even with low speed I can't see anyone there. I mean there is an enemy pretty far in that direction but Woohoojin killed another guy.
And this is why I don't look at minimap at all. Icons flicker way too fast for me to grasp. (yeah, I'm bronze)
I’m sorry but If my omen was sitting on box in his smoke as a team gets slaughtered on sight and asks to play for retake I’m gonna politely ask “ are you trolling or was that your real play”
You better than me cause I would be so salty
i mean the play wasnt bad its just that his team obv just wanted to rush in. ofc jumping down prob woulda been better
I am from silver once got recommended from an ascendant player just to flicks because my flicks are way more accurate and my aiming is slow af.
I sometime pull my crosshair away from enemy just to flick them
